“My dog can be shy at first, and had some separation anxiety when I leave him. He was well taken care of during his stay and even opened up to playing more with all the dogs that were also being boarded. I would highly recommend and will absolutely use them again.”

“Terri is a true animal lover. She cared for my dog Lucy over the weekend. She took Lucy for plenty of walks and even took her to the lake a couple times. Baked her some dog treats and even sent her home with a batch. Plenty of pictures. We are very pleased.”

“Thank you so much, Cerita, to you and your family for taking such great care of Teddy during his three-night stay. He was clearly well loved, and I am sure he enjoyed all the cuddles and attention. We are very grateful for the safe, warm, and caring home you provided.”

“Autumn is amazing and our dog Brida loved her! She agreed to watch Brida and when I needed to extend my stay she accepted the extension with zero hesitation! I would definitely recommend booking her.”

“Kaitlin and Verle do an amazing job at watching our dog and keeping us updated on his stay. We love having them take care and home our dog, for that reason we are repeat customers.”

“Highly recommend Trent! He recently took care of my dog, Momo, and did an incredible job. I was so grateful for his communication he constantly kept us updated and sent plenty of photos, so we knew Momo was in great hands and having a good time. Trent is reliable, caring, and professional. We will absolutely be booking with him again! When we are back in San Diego!”

“Naira was so great with my older dog. She sent lots of photos throughout her stay and was very accommodating of special needs. Highly recommend her and will with her book in the future.”

“Whitney was so great with our dog maya. She was on time for pick up and drop off and sent plenty of pics throughout the day. We felt that maya was taken care of and that made us feel at ease! Will definitely be using her services in the future. Highly recommend!”
“Our experience with Mark & Christina was fantastic! Our pup was well taken care of the week he stayed with them and the updates and pics/videos was so fun to receive while we were on our trip. We are thankful to have found them to be our pups home away from home!”

“It was our first time leaving our pup and Gwen made this whole process so easy and comfortable! Incredible communication at every step was great, but her lovely family and their dog were the cherry on top.”

“Christina was great with Punkin! As this was my first time leaving my sweet "old girl" with a sitter, I was a little apprehensive. I set up a meet & greet with Christina and in just a few minutes I could tell that Punkin was going to be well taken care of. She made herself comfy on the couch and was already getting the cuddling that she loves. Christina was great about sending pictures often of Punkin so I could see how well she was doing so I wouldn't worry. There were pictures of her playing tug-o-war with her tail wagging (it was just a blur in the picture LOL) and sleeping in her favorite "belly up" position, and out on walks. It was a great experience for both Punkin and me - I will definitely book with Christina again in the future!”
“Vanessa took excellent care of my puppy, sending me photos and messages with updates on what he was doing. She let me know if he was eating or ready to sleep, which I really appreciated. I felt confident that my dog was in a comfortable environment and in good hands.”

“Taylor and Andrew took great care of our dogs. They sent plenty of pictures and updates about how they were doing, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable sitter!”

“Whitney provided a great home away from home for my dog. She was easy to communicate and coordinate with. Although normally anxious, my dog was happy and comfortable in her home and care. We will be using Whitney’s services again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - El Cajon
Autumn was absolutely outstanding with my Pups! One of them was rescued off the street 4 months ago and is very fearful around new people and places, but he had such an amazing time and didn't want to leave by the time we had to pick them up. They loved her so much that I honestly felt a little sad about taking them away from her. I feel like that just highlights how phenomenal she was. 10/5 stars!! Hope to be back next time!

Vanessa took excellent care of my puppy, sending me photos and messages with updates on what he was doing. She let me know if he was eating or ready to sleep, which I really appreciated. I felt confident that my dog was in a comfortable environment and in good hands.

Dawn was really wonderful with our dogs and they had such a great stay. Dawn has a great backyard that I know our pups took advantage of, they slept for two straight days after coming home! She was really accommodating when we had to change times, which was so appreciated.

Carol D. watched our 2 small, senior dogs for 9 days. We arranged a meet & greet about a month prior to our trip and that was enough for us to feel comfortable and at ease leaving our 2 girls with her. During our trip, Carol kept us upated with how things were going with daily texts & photos. It was evident they were getting plenty of love & attention, and that Carol enjoys caring for dogs. Finding the right dogsitter, like Carol, through Rover.com was so comforting for us to the extent that we could truly enjoy our vacation.

Felt like family! Tiffany and her entire family are the best! Our puppies spent Easter week with them and they were surrounded by love and lots of attention. She was very responsive, communicative, and provided proactive care. With a young puppy, it was great that she only had our two dogs. Tiffany followed every instruction and was flexible to just ensure all their needs were seen to. With travel costs high already, booking with Tiffany was worth every additional penny. We had peace of mind and vacationed guilt-free knowing our dog babies were still being loved and snuggled even without us around. Tiffany and family are at the top of our sitter roster for future extended trips out of area. Highly recommended if you are looking for instant likability and trust!

Angela is wonderful! She treats any dog in her care with love, gives attention, and supplies the dog owner with updates + photos. Our dogs almost don't want to leave because they are sooo happy. I highly highly recommend Angela for day care and boarding. It is such a relief to know that my dogs are loved and cared for while I'm out of town. I think she under charges, so I always give a nice tip:)

Karen did a great job at caring for Max while we were out of town for a couple of days. We got daily updates with a lot of cute pictures of Max and her baby Stitch. Safe to say Max made a new friend! Thank you Karen for giving me a piece of mind knowing that Max was well taken care of! 💓

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
