For the past 14 years, my world revolved around my dog, Zuri. She recently passed away, and while I’m not ready to welcome another dog into my life just yet, I realized how much I miss spending time with them. Caring for dogs has never felt like work to me. I’m naturally attentive, patient, and deeply attuned to animals. I tend to notice the little things; when a dog needs a slower pace, extra reassurance, more water, a sniff break, or simply someone calm to help them feel safe. Zuri taught me that every walk is the highlight of a dog’s day, not just another task to check off a list. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, anxious, or a senior who needs a gentler pace, I’ll care for them with the same love, presence, and respect I gave my own.
