“Araceli was great with my two corgis. She kept me updated throughout my time away with pictures and videos. My doggos had the best time and I plan to rebook with her the next time I need a sitter.”
“Wonderful host! Bella was comfortable with Robin right away and came home tired and happy! Really appreciate all of the daily pictures and videos. Can’t recommend enough!”

“Ana is my go-to sitter in San Diego! My dog gets anxious away from home and Ana created a calm and welcoming environment. He’s also a picky eater but takes oral medication everyday. Ana was able to ensure he was taking his meds. It was such a relief having someone so wonderful and attentive watching him while I was away. I also appreciated all the communication—lots of photos and texts describing daily walks and activities and anything that was out of the normal. Can’t recommend Ana enough!”

“Kenneth obviously loves Rylee and the feeling is mutual. She gets long walks and lots of cuddles. Kenneth sends regular updates and lots of pictures. I work five 48 hour shifts per month and I’m hope to book Kenneth as many of those days as he is free:)”

“PJ loved staying with Emily so much! Emily sent me pictures and videos of PJ getting lots of hugs and cuddles. I was so happy to know that PJ was safe and in good hands while my family and I were thousands of miles away on vacation. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Emily again because PJ loves her and gets his quirks.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who works from home, so your pet will have my full attention all day long. I currently have a cat and a 15 year old senior dog, so I truly understand the bond we have with our older furry friends. Since I care for a senior dog myself, I’m very comfortable with medical needs. I can easily handle: Injections (like insulin) and any oral medications. Special diets and strict feeding schedules. Senior care for pets who need a slower pace and extra patience. Because I’m home 24/7, I can provide constant companionship and as many potty breaks as needed. Your pet will be treated like family here I work from home full-time, which means I have a very flexible schedule. Your pet will have my companionship 24/7, with constant supervision and as many potty breaks or walks as they need throughout the day A typical day includes lots of cuddles, mental stimulation, and fun games. We will explore the nearby park and enjoy long walks. Since I’m always home, I can strictly follow any feeding or medication schedules your pet requires

“Hiring Chau to watch my pup was the first Rover experience I’ve had and I couldn’t have asked for it to go any better. Right away I could tell Chau had a lot of experience taking care of dogs and understood the ways to make i”

“Alisiene is amazing. She’s communicative, great with our dog, and goes above and beyond to make sure it’s a great stay. This was our 5th time booking with her and we always reach out to her first when we’re going out of town.”

“Isabella was very nice and patient with my animals. Always letting me know how they were doing and what they were up too. She took very good care of both my dog and my cat and loved them like they were her own.”

About: A hard worker who values responsibility, reliability, and trust. I'm new to Rover but passionate about dogs and committed to providing safe, loving, and attentive care for every pet as if they were my own. Your pet will receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and care in a safe environment. I'll follow your pet's routine, including feeding, walks (for dogs), fresh water, potty breaks, and any special instructions. You'll also receive regular updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I'll carefully follow your care instructions, maintain your pet's routine, and provide plenty of attention and updates. Because I live on a military installation with restricted access, I currently offer dog walking and drop-in visits rather than boarding at my home.
“Lori watched our dog Hana for four nights and we couldn’t be more pleased. Hana can be very anxious and temperamental, but Lori exceeded our expectations and was able to form a bond with her quickly. We usually avoid boarding Hana at larger facilities because she becomes overwhelmed and overly anxious. However, Lori was able to provide Hana with much more intimate care where she felt safer. Lori provided daily updates showing us that Hana was active and well taken care of. This made it much easier to feel at ease while we are on vacation. We will certainly be using her again.”

“This is a kind and caring couple who looked after my puppy for one night. They thoughtfully texted me updates on my puppy’s condition, including his feeding schedule and sleep times. Their attentive and loving attitude demonstrates how genuinely they care.”

“Melissa was awesome! She was incredibly friendly and amazing communication. Karlos can sometimes have trouble trusting new people, but Melissa connected with him immediately and made him feel safe and welcomed. She sent pictures every day, took him on tons of walks, and provided him lots of LOVE! I’ll definitely work with Melissa next time Karl needs a home for the weekend!”

“Phillip is just the best!! He has taken great care of our senior dog and loved on her as if she was his own dog, we absolutely trust our dog is in good hands with Phillip.”

About: I am Bradley and I have taken care of dogs for the past 10 years. My own dog is almost 9 years old, 20 pounds, and is very friendly. I dog sit pretty often and love have extra furry friends stay with us. We have close access to grass for potty breaks and Balboa Park is only a few blocks away. We love to get outside and walk the neighborhood. I work from home, so I have lots of time to make sure any dogs staying with me has plenty of time to get outside and play. I typically am outside with my dog 4x a day. My own home has plenty of space to roam around. My dog is very friendly but typically keeps to herself even when other dogs are around. I am always available to help your dog for any particular need they might have.

Isis was absolutely amazing with Romeo! She was incredibly attentive to his needs and made sure he was well cared for the entire time. I really appreciated all of the photos and updates she sent, they gave me so much peace of mind and let me see how happy and comfortable he was. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she watches. I would absolutely love her to sit for Romeo again. Thank you Isis 🤍!

Wendy was AMAZING! This was only the 2nd time that we left our fur baby since we adopted her 11 years ago. We have always brought her with us while traveling but unfortunately we can’t take her everywhere. I immediately got a good vibe from Wendy! She stayed in close contact with us and provided daily updates and photos. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Daniela was great!! The drop-off and pick-up process were really easy. She communicated well, and I could tell that my dog was comfortable and cared for the whole time he was there. We will definitely reach back out to Daniela and her husband when we are in the area again.

They had clear and fast communication which made me feel better about leaving my dog for the first time. They were sweet with her even though she was too anxious around the other dogs to pee. They were even willing to bring her down to try again on separate occasions to help her with her individual needs, all in all the stay for my dog was good she just couldn’t handle the extra dog company which is on us- now we know ! Thank you so much

Jessica was wonderful! She kept my golden doodle for 5 nights. She took him on many walks, play dates, and I felt like my high energy pup was taken care of wonderfully. She sent photos and updates frequently. She is flexible, responsive, and kind. If I need a sitter again, I will definitely call Jessica!

Yael and her husband were very pleasant. I appreciate how adamant they were in ensuring that Kaleb would get along with their personal dog before accepting the request, it showed me that they really do care about animal wellness! Yael stayed in contact during Kaleb’s full stay and gave updates. Will definitely book again.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
