“Sarah was fantastic. She accepted our last‑minute, early‑morning request and showed up full of positive enthusiasm. She handled our two high‑energy huskies with care, keeping them happy, engaged, and safe.”

“Nancy is my go to sitter! She goes so above and beyond to take care of my Nala and she is very clear with her communication. Shes so sweet and gentle I absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a trusted care taker ☺️”

“Abigail was an amazing Rover - highly recommend. This was our first time using Rover and she did a great job educating on how the process works. She requested a meet and greet beforehand which was amazing for us both. We have a 6 month golden retriever who is still very much in puppy phase, Abigail was really patient and attentive. She stayed at our house so our dog had minimal change - we appreciated the in home care, somewhat last minute. Abigail sent multiple photos and videos a day, putting our mind at ease. She was extremely communicative and 10/10 to work with + our puppy seemed to love her. Recommend to anyone needed a Rover, will absolutely be booking her again!”

About: Dogs have been part of my life since I was a child, and I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels for over 11 years. I was the proud owner of a special-needs senior dog who I cared for from the time I was 18 until he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge, so I understand the patience, dedication, and unconditional love our pets deserve. I also regularly dog sit and have experience walking large breeds, handling excited or strong dogs on leash, and staying calm in stressful situations. Safety is always my top priority, whether we’re out for a walk or relaxing at home. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family, making sure they receive plenty of exercise, affection, routine, and personalized care. My goal is for both you and your pup to feel completely comfortable and confident while you’re apart. I’m currently in school, so I appreciate the flexibility that pet sitting provides. Outside of occasional Monday and Wednesday mornings, my schedule is very open, and I’m happy to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. If you’re located in the downtown area, I’m especially available for drop-in visits, walks, feedings, or last-minute check-ins. Caring for animals has been part of my daily routine for over 10 years, so fitting pet care into my schedule comes naturally. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine will always be my top priorities. I understand how important consistency is, so I’ll follow your care instructions closely—from feeding schedules and medications to walks, playtime, and bedtime routines. I pay close attention to each animal’s body language and behavior and can recognize when something seems off. I have experience caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and medical needs, and I remain calm in stressful situations. I treat every pet as if they were my own, keeping them safe, loved, entertained, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.
“Crystal stayed with my pups Bean & Benji for about a week. She was super communicative from the start and regularly sent updates/pics of my babies. Upon my return, the dogs were happy and healthy and my place was undisturbed. I’m SO grateful everything went smoothly and I was able to be in the moment at my sister’s wedding knowing my babies were in good hands. Will definitely keep Crystal at the forefront of my mind for the future. THANK YOU CRYSTAL!!!”

“Anne took great care of my pup while I was out of town for the weekend and it was so nice to know he was happy and cared for. She sent a few photos and updates so I knew all was going well. She also left my place very clean which I really appreciated!”

About: I have a Black Lab, and have always loved dogs 🐾 I am a Specialist for reactive dogs, with a focus on heel, recall and no pull walks. My first and only clients dog passed away so I have open availability for new clients this summer /fall. I love to make healthy organic treats throughout the week and take pups to the beach. With reactive dogs I have learned to be patient, be very treat rewarding and understanding that a reactive dog can be an afraid one. I am compassionate and love to play when a dog is ready. I have high energy for pets that love to go on runs and let out energy, and offer a safe space for the puppies that just want a peaceful environment.

“Jarrod was absolutely amazing. This was my first time having a house sitter, and Jarrod was so great with my pets and providing updates. He also was very accommodating, and went above and beyond for the pets and me. He also left my house sparkling clean!”

“Mara went above and beyond house sitting and watching my dog while I took a trip home for the weekend. She took amazing care of my fur baby. I would 10/10 recommend going to her!!!”

About: Hi! I’m a reliable, dog loving sitter with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all kinds, from my family’s Rottweiler to dogs I’ve watched for friends, family, past employers and current employers :). I know every dog is different, so I focus on making them feel comfortable, happy, and cared for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to build my day around pet care. I also like to stay active, which makes dog walks a natural part of my routine. Whether it’s morning, midday, or evening, I can be available to give your dog the attention and care they need. I usually just follow whatever routine your dog is already used to (feeding times, walks, playtime, all of that) so nothing feels off for them. In your home, I try to keep things as normal and low stress as possible. If they’re with me, they’ll get regular walks, attention, and a calm, clean space to hang out. I’m pretty attentive and good at picking up on what a dog needs, whether that’s more activity or just time to chill.
“I highly recommend Sabrina! She took excellent care of our dog Olive and our house. Olive absolutely loves Sabrina so I know she is getting the best care possible when we are away. Thank you, Sabrina!”

I love how detail oriented Halle is! She asked great questions beforehand that left me feeling like our kitties were going to be in great hands. I appreciated the consistent updates and how she kept to our kitties' schedule perfectly! One of our cats has a medication she needs every 12 hours and Halle kept us up to date each time she took it. I was so happy to receive many pictures during our trip! I highly recommend this sitter! We will book her again in the future!

Hi everyone, my name is Anthony. I recently had Sabrina watch my 2.5 year old German Shepherd, and four Hens. I give her 10 stars. The only thing I can say is she is absolutely amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again for my next vacation. I didn’t have to even worried about if my animals were being taken care of in the best possible manner. She checked in with me everyday with photos and videos of all the activities she was doing with my dog to make me and my dog feel like I never left. I can go on and on. So if she’s not booked already do your best to get in her Que. thanks very much to Sabrina and Rover.

Vanessa looked after our three doggies for five days while we were out of town on vacation. She gave the doggies 24 hours a day attention. Highly satisfied, she was wonderful, and we will use her services again for sure. She gave us a lot of updates, photos and videos. We recommend Vanessa !!

Aleksandra is absolutely incredible. She is the dog whisperer. I am a passionate Pet Mom and my pets are my universe. Leaving them for 5 days with a stranger would typically terrify me, but this was the best trip I have ever taken because I knew my pets were safe with Aleksandra. I have never had a better experience with a pet sitter. She trained my 17 week-old puppy to have better manners than when I left, and I feel like I came home to a different dog!!! Additionally, my pets have significant health issues (frenchie with IVDD, for one) and she willingly accommodated all of their special needs without a second thought. Moreso, she left my home cleaner than how I left it. I came home to a spotless house with some calming music on the TV for the pets!!! She sent tons of pictures and updates multiple times per day and not once did I feel worried or anxious about the wellbeing of my beloved pets or my home. I am blown away by this experience, and she will forever be my first stop when I need a pet sitter. THANK YOU, ALEKSANDRA!!!!!!

Andrea was absolutely incredible! My dog has extreme separation anxiety, and she went above and beyond to make him feel safe and comfortable. She stepped in at the last minute over a holiday weekend, completely saving us when we needed help most. She was attentive, reliable, communicative, and sent frequent updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She treated my dog like her own, was incredibly responsible, kept everything clean, and was always willing to help in any way she could. Andrea truly exceeded every expectation. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable. We are so grateful for her and will definitely book with her again!

Abigail was an amazing Rover - highly recommend. Recommend to anyone needed a Rover, will absolutely be booking her again!

We’re so thankful we found Katherine to watch our dog Simba during our courthouse wedding ceremony in San Diego. She was flexible and willing to assist us on the day of, adhering to our very specific timeline. Simba instantly connected/gravitated towards her upon meeting. We booked her again a couple days later to watch him while we spent the day out exploring. She sent regular updates, was on time, and I felt at ease leaving her with my precious baby. I’d gladly rebook her again next time we visit.

Sarah D. has been wonderful in caring for our pups and home while we travel. The relatively new dogs are still learning about their new surroundings and Sarah has been a huge help in their growth. Having someone as competent as Sara looking after our dogs is a great comfort during our travels.

Carter and Ashley watched our dog for three days while we were out of town. They sent lots of photos and it was clear our pup had a great time with them. She was very happy and relaxed when we returned. There were lots of of walks, and even a hike and beach time. They left our place in great shape. We look forward them having take care of our fur baby again!

Bethany was incredibly kind and accommodating when I needed someone to stay at my home (very last minute on my end) for a weekend. She took amazing care of both of my boys 🐾 and handled one of my dog’s injury situations so well, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. Communication was amazing throughout, and I truly appreciated all of her help. Would absolutely book with her again!

This is my first time using Rover and I'm so grateful I found Vanessa. I have an old blind, Australian Cattle Dog with a heart condition who is selective with people and dogs. He warmed up to Vanessa quickly during our meet and greet, and I fully trusted him in her care. We also have a cat who quickly fell in love her. Vanessa was a great listener as I outlined my dog's quirks, and asked if she could take videos of how I administer the medication etc. to keep his routine as normal as possible. She was professional, great at communication, quick to respond, and arrived on time (actually early). A couple of days before we left, I asked her to come earlier than the proposed time and she was able to accommodate that no problem. The house was left in great condition - the animals were happy and safe, and I will definitely book Vanessa again in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of our pack!

The average cost for House Sitting in Coronado on Rover is $37.45 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 6,536 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Coronado. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Coronado walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Coronado maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coronado choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Coronado. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
