About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 9 and although I don’t currently have a dog my roommate does so I have gotten continuous experience caring for him. My old dog was very anxious so I have experience caring for easily stressed dogs. I am currently working full time in person so will unfortunately only be available for continuous sitting on the weekends as I wouldn’t want to leave the dog alone for the whole day while I’m at work. I will follow whatever instructions you have for me exactly. Beyond that, I love playing with and interacting with dogs so I will be sure to keep them entertained for the duration of the stay!

About: I've been walking, sitting, and watching dogs for about 10 years now. Started out helping neighbors and friends with their dogs and it kind of snowballed from there. Since then I've done pretty much everything: daily walks, quick drop-ins when someone's stuck at work, overnight stays, dogs staying with me for a few days at a time. The big thing for me is that I work remotely, so I'm home most of the day. That means I'm not cramming a walk in before rushing off somewhere, and I can usually be flexible with last-minute drop-ins or schedule changes. Dogs in my care get real attention, not just a quick in-and-out. I've spent a lot of time with puppies, so I'm used to the extra patience that takes. Reinforcing potty training, redirecting chewing, keeping them from bouncing off the walls. I've also cared for older dogs who move slower, might be on medication, or just need someone paying closer attention day to day. When dogs stay at my place, I treat it like they're hanging out at a second home, not being "watched." I always send photos and updates so people aren't left wondering how things are going. What sets me apart is just consistency. 10 years, lots of different dogs, lots of different situations. Since I work remotely, dog care fits in pretty seamlessly throughout my day rather than being squeezed into a couple set windows. I can step away for a walk whenever it's needed, whether that's one walk a day or four or five spread out for a puppy or a dog with a medical need. I'm not tied to a desk or an office schedule, so if a dog needs a midday potty break, an extra walk because of weather, or just more frequent outside time, that's easy for me to make happen. On weekends it's even more flexible since I don't have any work commitments at all. Basically, however many walks or check-ins a dog needs on a given day, I can build my schedule around that instead of the other way around. Here's the updated version with that detail worked in: In my home: When a dog stays with me, they get free run of the space, and there's plenty of it. We're a 3-floor home with a backyard, so dogs aren't cooped up in one room all day. If owners are comfortable with yard access, that's available too, otherwise I'll stick to walks only, whatever the owner prefers. I keep a consistent routine with feeding, walks, and bathroom breaks, and there's plenty of downtime as well, whether that's cuddling on the couch or just hanging out nearby while I work. If there are multiple dogs, I keep an eye on how they're getting along so everyone's comfortable. I also dog-proof anything that needs it ahead of time, like putting away food, trash, or anything chewable. In a client's home: For drop-ins or walks at someone's place, I stick to their normal routine as closely as possible. Same feeding times, same walking route if they have one, same rules around furniture or crating. I treat the home with respect, lock up when I leave, and make sure the dog has water, has gone to the bathroom, and is settled before I go. For longer stays in a client's home, I keep things running the way the owner normally would rather than doing things my way.

About: I love dogs more than most people! Raised a dog for 16 years so I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else (even if it’s just for a walk!). I’m responsible, communicative and punctual. I know my profile is new but your dog is in safe hands, you won’t have to worry. I work fully remote and have a flexible schedule during the day so I am able to attend to your dogs needs quickly! Limited availability on weekends but you can always check my schedule. I will treat your home with respect when I come pick up your dog. Safety and trust is incredibly important to me. Hope to make your day a little less stressful.

Layla came every evening for 10 nights to take our pup out for walks while I recovered from surgery. She was punctual, reliable and friendly with our reluctant, nervous dog. She got Rosie to look forward to seeing her and was so patient and sweet with Rosie. We’d absolutely book Layla again, Rosie will look forward to seeing her friend! Highly recommend

About: I have a degree in Animal Science and extensive hands-on experience caring for animals in both veterinary and rehabilitation settings. I previously worked as a veterinary assistant, where I gained experience safely handling and restraining animals, assisting with exams and procedures, administering medications, and recognizing changes in an animal’s behavior or condition. I currently volunteer in wildlife rehabilitation and am preparing to apply to veterinary school. I’m also a cat parent to Ollie, who has asthma and stomatitis, so I understand firsthand what it’s like to care for a pet with chronic health conditions. I’m comfortable with medication routines, keeping an eye out for changes in behavior or symptoms, and giving pets with ongoing medical needs the extra attention they may require. I’m comfortable with animals who need a little extra patience, including nervous or shy pets, seniors, and pets with medical needs. Most importantly, I know that every animal has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to learn what makes them feel safe and comfortable while their person is away. I work full-time, so I am primarily available in the evenings and on weekends. Let's connect and discuss what makes the most sense for your pet! I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pet and being in your home. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, and any house rules you leave for me. I’m careful about things like doors, windows, leashes, and making sure pets are secure before I come and go. I also pay attention to changes in behavior, appetite, or energy and will let you know if anything seems off. My goal is pretty simple: keep your pet safe and comfortable, keep your home the way I found it, and make sure you don’t have to worry while you’re away.

About: I have taken care of dogs, bunnies and cats. Not afraid of bigger dogs either. Walked several dogs on rover with awesome feedback. I’m quiet, respectful and friendly. Mostly available in the morning til 1pm on weekdays. Locations nearby F train subway stops are the best (Fort Hamilton parkway, 15 st, 7 st, 4ave & 9st, smith st, Carroll gardens, Bergen st). May also be available on other days and times depending on the schedule. I’m originally from Taiwan, studied in the Midwest (Michigan), worked in LA, and moved to Brooklyn with my partner. I’m a freelancer (UX design) and want to meet some furry friends and get to know the neighborhood. How I meet/ interact with furry friends: say hello, meet their eyes, palms up, show no signs of aggression, approach slowly and give a scratch if they look comfortable. I use a firm voice and gesture to calm them down when needed, too. Feel free to leave more instructions.

About: Hey there! I’m a responsible college student with wide-open days this summer, so I have plenty of time to spoil your pet with constant love — whether that’s pets and cuddles, a long walk, or just hanging out near them! I have tons of experience caring for both dogs and cats, since my family had a successful Rover account for many years (attached are some pictures of me dog sitting, much younger, just as enthusiastic.) We also had our own beloved chiweenie, Bella, so I know how much it matters to leave your pet with someone who’ll treat them like family. I’m playful, affectionate, and organized, as well as attentive to the unique personalities of pets and their comfort levels with specific tasks. I’ll make sure you know your pet is happy and safe while you’re away, so expect updates and lots of photos! For any multi-day sits, I’d also love to set up a meet-and-greet first — feel free to reach out and we can find a time. Excited to meet your pet! I can accept dates up until September 12th, when I’ll have to head back to college. I’ve got very open days this summer, so I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your pets. My schedule is quite flexible; reach out if there’s anything you’d like to fit into my calendar and I can try to make it work. I live in South Park Slope, right near a dog run, and in a house with three floors and a backyard where your dog can play. I’m also just three blocks from Prospect Park and am happy to go on long rambles there!
