About: My 11-year-old husky may be big and loud, but she’s truly a gentle giant at heart. She’s submissive, nurturing, happy, and incredibly loving — the kind of dog that naturally brings calm, comfort, and positive influence to other dogs around her. Through simple observation and consistency, she has even helped reinforce basic commands like sit, lay down, and “leave it” around the house. We live a balanced lifestyle full of love, structure, and fun. Whether it’s long walks, runs to the dog park, swimming, sunbathing, people watching, or simply relaxing as couch potatoes, your dog will have companionship, stimulation, and a safe, welcoming environment. I truly believe a body in motion stays in motion — and that happy dogs thrive with both freedom and care. I am currently not working - so i have all the time in the world to hang out with your best friend! I will always update you if anything changes. I currently keep a routine of regulars during the week (same time, same day) and enjoy the schedule. I have a wonderful dog to keep your dog company in my home. Dogs go to the bathroom about every 2 to 3 hours and I follow proper feeding instructions that are given to me. I never leave the dogs alone when I am dog sitting. I'm always happy to send any updates or pictures if needed. Additionally, I do have a car and am happy to do pick ups and drop offs for an additional fee.

“Amy was so communicative and detailed in her updates. She was also incredibly patient and sweet with our very shy, senior cat. She even noticed little things and took the initiative to take care of them without being asked. We’ll definitely book with her again!”

“10000000/5! This was a phenomenal experience for both me and my pet to the point that she didn’t wanna come home lol! Linyan went above and beyond to make sure pebbles was well taken care of and sent PLENTY of pictures and videos. She was phenomenal and I didn’t have to worry about pebbles comfort ability or safety once throughout the day. she also knows that pebble is a high energy dog and walked her the appropriate amount of time even in this cold out of control!!!.”

“Gabrielle had been taking care of Bronte on the regular the past couple months. She is great! Her dog Doug is so friendly and good to Bronte. She is consistent and has a backup for days she cannot be there through her SO. Bronte loves her. I love her. I highly recommend her.”

“If you’re looking for an understanding and patient caretaker for your dog, look no further than Britt! She kindly took on the job of watching my newly adopted dog, Pepper, at the very last minute. Throughout the day, she sent thoughtful updates and even shared Amazon links for helpful dog products and treats. Britt was incredibly attentive to Pepper’s adjustment to a new environment and showed so much patience. Bonus points for her sweet dog, Furby, who became Pepper’s new friend during her stay. Rest assured, Britt is more than capable of taking great care of your fur baby!”

“Cannot recommend Alex (and her sweet perfect lil dog Bruce) enough. She was so easy with pickup/drop off, so knowledgeable about dogs, so responsible and generous, and sent so many pics. I am always super nervous to leave my dog with anyone new, but Alex put my mind at ease immediately. I want to use her every time!! (My dog definitely feels the same way; he misses Bruce already, I can tell.) Thank you so so much Alex - and thank you for the collar advice as well.”

About: Note: We have a toddler now! We won't be able to care for dogs that don't get along well with little children. :) Hello! I'm Claire, and my husband Jeff and I have over a decade of experience caring for dogs together. We LOVE all the dogs we meet, and showering them with that love is one of our favorite things to do. We have plenty of space for pups with extra energy to burn some off. We also take long, frequent walks and make daily dog park visits (unless your pup is more of an introvert/apartment play kind of a woofer). Our dog Otis is a hound mix who loves to play but also always knows when his buds need space or a calm cuddle session. We're attentive, loving and energetic, which we think is all a pup ultimately needs (well, that, and plenty of toys to chew on and treats to eat, which we also have). We typically only sit for 1 dog at a time (in addition to Otis), but sometimes we'll do 2 if we already know 1 of them well. Please feel free to message me with any questions. We look forward to meeting all your wonderful woofs! I typically work from home 4 days/week. I can work from home every day if sitting for a pup who needs me :) During my work day, I take frequent breaks to play with and/or love on my woofer friends. We create whatever environment your pup needs to feel safe and secure, and we'll follow whatever rules you do in your home. Our default is to let dogs run free, but we can accommodate crates and pens if that's what you prefer. Our dog is allowed on furniture, but we won't let yours if them's the rules.
“Danny was a fantastic sitter! He took the time to make sure our pup was comfortable before we left and even let us see where he’d be staying, which made us feel at ease right away. He kept us updated throughout the stay. His positive energy was infectious, and his excitement about taking care of our dog made us so happy. Highly recommend! Thanks again Danny! You made both me and Louie’s day :)”

“This was Colby’s first day care with Jodie, and she was absolutely wonderful! From the start, she was very communicative and kind, making sure we felt comfortable and informed throughout the day. Colby seemed happy and relaxed when we picked him up, which says it all. We really appreciated how attentive and caring she was. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Joseph is a wonderful person, and our dog is very happy spending time with him! She walked herself to his house between visits and is very happy at drop off and pick up.”

“Adrienne is very good sitter. My dogs loved her from the get go. She communicates very well. She kept us posted through the day care and provided a lot of photos as well. I would definitely hire as a sitter again!”

“We had a great experience with Bethany! She was very responsible, responsive, and flexible throughout the process. We did a meet-and-greet beforehand, which made us feel very comfortable. During daycare, she kept us updated with messages, photos, and videos, and always responded very quickly. She was also accommodating when we needed to adjust the original timing. She clearly cares about the dogs she watches, and we would definitely book with her again!”

“Jade did an amazing job with our dog Yoshi! I’m hesitant about leaving our dog with a new person but we were visiting the city and needed daycare, so we did a meet and greet and Jade was very responsible and communicative, making me feel confident that she would make sure our dog felt comfortable in her house. Our dog had a tummy ache and she was diligent about helping him eat in the morning and, took him on several walks.”

“Debra and her husband were so patient and caring with Tinley, and their valuable experience is amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! We have other visits already scheduled this month. We know Tinley is in the best of hands! Thanks Debra!”

About: ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My first dog — Lucy, a Border Collie I had when I was 11 back in Shanghai, China — was my best friend for 16 years. Alongside her, I cared for a rescued stray cat "Noji" and an adopted poodle "Bebe" when I was 13, which taught me patience, responsibility, policing different pets, and how to understand different pet personalities. After moving to the U.S. for school, I brought home my baby Corgi "Brioche" in 2020. She’s now a 5-year-old certified service dog who’s friendly, well-trained, and walked three times a day for at least 30 minutes each time. I also helped train and kept a baby Devon Rex cat for my family in 2025. What sets me apart is my lifelong, hands-on experience with pets of different breeds, ages, and temperaments — from energetic puppies to senior dogs. I love fur babies more than anything and always prioritize their comfort, safety, and happiness. I will be working part time starting summer 2026 in NYC, so my schedule is flexible, I'm available for daily walks, boarding both weekdays and weekends. I live in a 2 bedroom in FiDi close to battery park city. There are no crates and my corgi was never crate-trained. I don't have indoor pet potty so I almost only take my dog out for potty unless the weather is crazy. I have plenty of dog beds and toys.
“Bronzino had yet another great stay with Jacob! Jacob was super communicative and easy to coordinate pickup and drop off. Hope to have another daycare day with Jacob again!”

“Mathew took wonderful care of Pera. He kept me updated, sent me cute pictures of her daily, took her to the dog park and even cooked her favorite meal to boost her appetite. I was able to enjoy my trip knowing Pera was under good care. Upon picking her up I noticed she was very comfortable and had already warmed up to him. Mathew overall is a very trustworthy and awesome sitter and I will be definitely be bringing back Pera.”

“Mae is an amazing dog sitter! She kept me updated throughout my dogs stay, and was incredibly kind and easy to communicate with. She also took my dog on multiple long walks, and he seemed so happy afterward. Highly recommend her services!”

Adventure-ready dog walkers - Red Hook
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 9 and although I don’t currently have a dog my roommate does so I have gotten continuous experience caring for him. My old dog was very anxious so I have experience caring for easily stressed dogs. I am currently working full time in person so will unfortunately only be available for continuous sitting on the weekends as I wouldn’t want to leave the dog alone for the whole day while I’m at work. I will follow whatever instructions you have for me exactly. Beyond that, I love playing with and interacting with dogs so I will be sure to keep them entertained for the duration of the stay!

About: I've been walking, sitting, and watching dogs for about 10 years now. Started out helping neighbors and friends with their dogs and it kind of snowballed from there. Since then I've done pretty much everything: daily walks, quick drop-ins when someone's stuck at work, overnight stays, dogs staying with me for a few days at a time. The big thing for me is that I work remotely, so I'm home most of the day. That means I'm not cramming a walk in before rushing off somewhere, and I can usually be flexible with last-minute drop-ins or schedule changes. Dogs in my care get real attention, not just a quick in-and-out. I've spent a lot of time with puppies, so I'm used to the extra patience that takes. Reinforcing potty training, redirecting chewing, keeping them from bouncing off the walls. I've also cared for older dogs who move slower, might be on medication, or just need someone paying closer attention day to day. When dogs stay at my place, I treat it like they're hanging out at a second home, not being "watched." I always send photos and updates so people aren't left wondering how things are going. What sets me apart is just consistency. 10 years, lots of different dogs, lots of different situations. Since I work remotely, dog care fits in pretty seamlessly throughout my day rather than being squeezed into a couple set windows. I can step away for a walk whenever it's needed, whether that's one walk a day or four or five spread out for a puppy or a dog with a medical need. I'm not tied to a desk or an office schedule, so if a dog needs a midday potty break, an extra walk because of weather, or just more frequent outside time, that's easy for me to make happen. On weekends it's even more flexible since I don't have any work commitments at all. Basically, however many walks or check-ins a dog needs on a given day, I can build my schedule around that instead of the other way around. Here's the updated version with that detail worked in: In my home: When a dog stays with me, they get free run of the space, and there's plenty of it. We're a 3-floor home with a backyard, so dogs aren't cooped up in one room all day. If owners are comfortable with yard access, that's available too, otherwise I'll stick to walks only, whatever the owner prefers. I keep a consistent routine with feeding, walks, and bathroom breaks, and there's plenty of downtime as well, whether that's cuddling on the couch or just hanging out nearby while I work. If there are multiple dogs, I keep an eye on how they're getting along so everyone's comfortable. I also dog-proof anything that needs it ahead of time, like putting away food, trash, or anything chewable. In a client's home: For drop-ins or walks at someone's place, I stick to their normal routine as closely as possible. Same feeding times, same walking route if they have one, same rules around furniture or crating. I treat the home with respect, lock up when I leave, and make sure the dog has water, has gone to the bathroom, and is settled before I go. For longer stays in a client's home, I keep things running the way the owner normally would rather than doing things my way.

“Amanda is such a joy! She has been so kind and patient to gain the trust of our tough little customer of a dog. I appreciate her very much & highly recommend her to take care of any pet she meets.”

About: I love dogs more than most people! Raised a dog for 16 years so I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else (even if it’s just for a walk!). I’m responsible, communicative and punctual. I know my profile is new but your dog is in safe hands, you won’t have to worry. I work fully remote and have a flexible schedule during the day so I am able to attend to your dogs needs quickly! Limited availability on weekends but you can always check my schedule. I will treat your home with respect when I come pick up your dog. Safety and trust is incredibly important to me. Hope to make your day a little less stressful.
“Mae took excellent care of our golden retriever! I really appreciated the photos she sent. She is friendly and was very responsive even with short notice. I could tell our pup loved her. I will contact her again the next time we need care.”

“Giovanni walked my boxer, Gus, twice a day for a week while I had to go out of town last minute. My boxer can be reactive to other dogs and sometimes people, but Giovanni was great. He is professional and gave me a very detailed report after each walk. He also fed/watered him on the evenings my boyfriend got stuck at work. I felt very at ease knowing Gus was in good hands - will book again soon!”

“Layla came every evening for 10 nights to take our pup out for walks while I recovered from surgery. She was punctual, reliable and friendly with our reluctant, nervous dog. She got Rosie to look forward to seeing her and was so patient and sweet with Rosie. We’d absolutely book Layla again, Rosie will look forward to seeing her friend! Highly recommend”

About: I have a degree in Animal Science and extensive hands-on experience caring for animals in both veterinary and rehabilitation settings. I previously worked as a veterinary assistant, where I gained experience safely handling and restraining animals, assisting with exams and procedures, administering medications, and recognizing changes in an animal’s behavior or condition. I currently volunteer in wildlife rehabilitation and am preparing to apply to veterinary school. I’m also a cat parent to Ollie, who has asthma and stomatitis, so I understand firsthand what it’s like to care for a pet with chronic health conditions. I’m comfortable with medication routines, keeping an eye out for changes in behavior or symptoms, and giving pets with ongoing medical needs the extra attention they may require. I’m comfortable with animals who need a little extra patience, including nervous or shy pets, seniors, and pets with medical needs. Most importantly, I know that every animal has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to learn what makes them feel safe and comfortable while their person is away. I work full-time, so I am primarily available in the evenings and on weekends. Let's connect and discuss what makes the most sense for your pet! I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pet and being in your home. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, and any house rules you leave for me. I’m careful about things like doors, windows, leashes, and making sure pets are secure before I come and go. I also pay attention to changes in behavior, appetite, or energy and will let you know if anything seems off. My goal is pretty simple: keep your pet safe and comfortable, keep your home the way I found it, and make sure you don’t have to worry while you’re away.
“Denise was such an amazing dog walker for my dog Rue. Rue was so excited every time she came over. Denise always left me detailed reports of her time with Rue and would always notify me if something came up. Couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: I have taken care of dogs, bunnies and cats. Not afraid of bigger dogs either. Walked several dogs on rover with awesome feedback. I’m quiet, respectful and friendly. Mostly available in the morning til 1pm on weekdays. Locations nearby F train subway stops are the best (Fort Hamilton parkway, 15 st, 7 st, 4ave & 9st, smith st, Carroll gardens, Bergen st). May also be available on other days and times depending on the schedule. I’m originally from Taiwan, studied in the Midwest (Michigan), worked in LA, and moved to Brooklyn with my partner. I’m a freelancer (UX design) and want to meet some furry friends and get to know the neighborhood. How I meet/ interact with furry friends: say hello, meet their eyes, palms up, show no signs of aggression, approach slowly and give a scratch if they look comfortable. I use a firm voice and gesture to calm them down when needed, too. Feel free to leave more instructions.

Also, he was super cooperative with schedules and dog routines. Lastly, I was very impressed by the feedback/report on overall performance of my dog over the two week stay that he gave when I went to pick up my puppy. I knew a 9 month old portipoo could be a ball of problem but Michael handled it like a pro.👍👍👍 I would definitely come back”

“Claire took in our dog Bailey last second for the weekend and was communicative, responsive and Bailey had a great time with her and Otis! We would definitely use her again!”

“Was a great first experience with Rover, she worked with us with drop off and pick up on times and sent us good pictures and videos of our babies. It was our first time leaving them with Rover. Would highly recommend and would definitely use her again.”

“It’s always great to book onboarding with Renzo. I can tell from Mango’s reaction when I drop him off and when I pick him up that he had a blast. I will definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend!”

“Eroxis was so sweet with our cat while we were away for the holidays. He had recently been diagnosed with diabetes, which was a big change for us, so we found ourselves looking for a boarder on short notice. She had no problems giving him his insulin shots and kept us updated on all of his fun times.”

“Joseph and Deb took great care of Phoenix! Really happy to have found a lovely family nearby with a comfortable home and backyard to care for my dog when I am away. I would absolutely book again and recommend to others.”

“This is my second time boarding my cat with Sydney. Sydney is always super sweet and her kitty is also incredibly friendly and adorable. I received so many pictures and updates on Stormie's stay, and he always has such a great time with Sydney”

“Eileen was great! She was very communicative and kept me updated the entire time with plenty of photos. She took great care of my dog. I would definitely recommend!”

“Rashad stepped in at the very last minute for another dogsitter who unexpectedly bailed on watching our fuzzy guy - a huge lifesaver as I was already out of town. He did a great job taking care Rowlf, who seemed very happy, and gave us regular updates. Would definitely rebook.”

“Aksel and Gloria take such great care of our dog, Gus. He always has a great time and seems to love playing with Lorraine! Thanks for all the photos and quick responses and flexibility.”
