Safety, trust & environment
The most important aspect of taking care of a pet is ensuring you’ve communicated with the owner, who knows them better than anyone! It’s so important to know what they need and when they need it.
Information Rachel L. would like to know about your pet
You know your babies best and whatever information you think is necessary for me to know ahead of time (limps, hip dysplasia, etc.) would be greatly appreciated, so I’m not worried about them on our walks!
A typical day
I typically take dogs on a walk through the closest park to their home (Fort Greene Park or Prospect Park) as a much needed getaway (for both them and me!) from the concrete jungle.

Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs in my household and started walking them regularly when I was in high school. I’ve walked, played with, and cared for small and large dogs, young and old dogs, lively and listless dogs — I love them all! :) I’ve also been around cats most of my life and have significant experience visiting and sitting them. Some cats are obviously more outgoing with people, but I’ve never met a cat I couldn’t find a way to befriend. :)
Reviews

Rachel is a thoughtful, attentive, and calm sitter. Our dog loved meeting her and treated our home with care and respect. We will definitely work with her again to care for our dog daughter.
Rachel was able to walk our very shy dog this week. She was very patient with her and made it work. Thanks so much Rachel!
Rachel was terrific! She’s an excellent communicator and sensitive to making the cats comfortable, which was great for my shy guy.

Rachel’s been great with our six month old pup! We always come back and she’s happy and Rachel gives great updates and pics too. Would absolutely recommend!
