“My dog is on five different types of medications to address her irritable bowel and her arthritis. The doses cannot be missed and have to be administered on a strict schedule. Over the years, my dog has learned how to hide the pills in her mouth then spit them out when you’re not looking. If she misses her medications - especially the ones for irritable bowel - she gets sick very quickly and will get diarrhea. Sometimes violent and frequent diarrhea. So I was quite nervous about leaving her with people who weren’t familiar with her issues and her tricks. But Karen and Tony handled her like pros. How do I know? Because I came home to a healthy dog who showed no signs of having missed any meds. I can’t thank them enough for taking such good care of my Coco. Oh, and bonus, they are respectful sitters who left my home just as I had left it. They even laundered the sheets! About: I grew up with Great Pyrenees, Great Pyrenees/Border Collie, Australian Shepards mixes. I've walked, fed, brushed and played with these big dogs for more than a decade. The two Great Pyrenees sisters I currently help take care of have matured from 4 month old puppies to elderly ladies. I'm quite used to the typical arm jerk or pull that is often associated with walking big, enthusiastic dogs. I work during the day, but generally am up quite early and thus would be able to walk dog(s) before work. I am also quite flexible in terms of where I stay on Oahu and thus can easily incorporate dog sitting into my weekly routine. Alice was great with Kelvin, very patient while our dog warmed up to her, and willing to stay in our house as Kelvin is too anxious to stay overnight alone. She provided almost daily updates so we knew Kelvin was happy and comfortable. Kelvin was very happy when we got home, and I know she'll miss seeing Alice. We're very lucky Alice was able to dogsit for us while we were visiting family on the mainland.
Joshua looked after my two very active dogs for 18 nights, in my home. He sent regular updates, including photos and videos. He also offered to take care of watering plants while there. The dogs were very well exercised and taken care of. It was very reassuring to know they were being looked after so well while I was off island. I would highly recommend Joshua and will definitely request his services again next time I am away.
Madison did a great job taking care of our dog and house. She kept us up to date with photos through out her stay and left our place very clean. She responded quickly to all messages and requests. I would highly recommended Madison for any pet sitting services and will hopefully be using her in the future to take care of our house and dog.
John was absolutely incredible with our 3 dogs (that range in age and size - 12 yr old Golden, 10 yr old Golden, 3 yr old mini-poodle)! He stayed the night while we were traveling allowing the pups to feel comfortable in their own home. He even sent pictures to us throughout the day. The pups had a blast!! He is a licensed veterinarian and an epidemiologist, which made us feel extra comfortable. He also agreed to an initial meeting with the pups before the booking. We will absolutely be using John again!
Alyssa stayed with our two dogs for five days while we were out of town. Of course, both of them were having skin flare ups while we were away. Alyssa administered all kinds of meds, creams and sprays which helped keep everything under control. She left the house sparkling clean as usual. We are so grateful!
Ashley was great with our 4 month and 8 year old Goldendoodles while house sitting for us and even did so on short notice. Managing a puppy is never easy and she did a wonderful job. We came home to a clean house and felt the house was safe with Ashley staying in it. She kept us up to date with great photos while we were away too. Gabby was wonderful with our anxious dog. He takes some time to warm up to new people, but she was patient, calm, and clearly made him feel comfortable.
