About: I have had dogs my entire life, I have experience training 4 dogs from puppy age through middle age and up until senior age! The dogs I have taken care of range from big dogs (german shepherds) to tiny dogs (teacup chihuahuas). I have a very active lifestyle that allows me to have fun with the dogs and get them active. I have experienced working with shelter dogs, I actively walked them and fed them. I HAVE BASE ACCESS :) !! My schedule has my days ending early afternoons so I would be available to stop in for walks/check-ins after. My nights are flexible for night visits. I currently live in dorm housing where animals are not allowed but for care inside client homes I will keep a watchful eye when letting your pet out and pay close attention to instructions.

Josh is the best with our husky Roxy! We went away for an extended period for the first time since getting our dog and were nervous to leave her since she can be anxious in unfamiliar situations. Josh took special care to make sure Roxy was at ease. He followed all of her care instructions perfectly and sent wonderful photos of their walks along with detailed updates. His passion for working with animals enabled him to build a strong bond with Roxy quickly and we could tell she was so happy to have him as a new friend. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing Roxy was so well taken care of while we were away. We highly recommend Josh :)!

Veronica was an absolute dream to work with! Our older pups started experiencing some random symptoms about a week before our trip to Japan and we contemplated cancelling the whole trip but Veronica gave us so much comfort and reassurance which also gave us peace of mind. We were in communication every day and she also sent pics/videos which was so calming for us. Normally we don't worry as much but our dogs are 16 and 13 years old but Veronica was very understanding and we cannot wait to work with her again. Thank you!

About: Dog sitting perfectly fits my active lifestyle. I'll treat your small/medium pup like family, providing the walks, fetch, and dedicated care I love giving. As a teacher on summer break, my schedule is highly flexible. Pups easily join my morning and evening walks, and I have plenty of open time between errands, reading, and relaxing to provide dedicated attention, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I care for your dog in your home by sticking closely to their established routine. Because my own living space is dog-free, I treat your home with the utmost respect while ensuring your pup gets plenty of personalized care, structured exercise, safe playtime, and tons of love.

About: I’ve always been a responsible pet owner since I was little and have had numerous unique pets growing up. I love pet sitting, walking, and taking care of them all as if they were my own 🩷 I am currently a substitute teacher and have some extra time and days I don’t have work so I have free time for walks and cuddles. I have always prioritized safety in my different occupations doing security and corrections most of my life. I take pride in people’s trust in me in different ways.

About: I have taken care of my 2 dogs for the past 10 years and I have taken care of my neighbors dogs many times. I have a very needy dog so I know when a dog needs to go for a walk or needs food. My only job is pet sitting so I am extremely available as long as I have time to go on hikes or walks around the city. I walk one of my two dogs 4-5 times a day and I walk my other dog only once or twice a day because she is very old but I feed both of them 3 times a day. I only gives them baths when they get stinky.

Would 100% recommend Liz as a pet sitter. Our puppy was quite young (12 weeks) and we were really anxious to leave her with someone for a week. Liz sent updates multiple times a day, which gave us peace of mind. She managed to keep our pup on her daily routine, kept up her training and even helped with breaking some bad habits our pup had. Our house was spotless when we returned.

About: Hey there! I’m an active, dependable animal lover who has been caring for pets for friends and family for years. I know every pet has their own personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Whether your dog loves walks, trail adventures, beach time, or a good run, I’m happy to keep them active and moving. If they’re more of a couch companion, I’m just as content spending the afternoon reading a book with a cat curled up beside me. My experience includes caring for dogs and cats of all ages, house sitting, looking after macaws, and owning reptiles, so I’m comfortable caring for a variety of animals and following detailed care instructions. I also volunteered at the California Living Museum, where I gained experience working around wildlife and developed an even greater appreciation for attentive, compassionate animal care. I’m clean, respectful of your home, and committed to keeping you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pets are in good hands. My goal is simple: to make your pets feel loved while you’re away and I get an adventure buddy. I currently work full time Monday- Friday in Chinatown. I can be there in the mornings and later afternoons/nights. Weekends just if I’m not on a boat or scuba diving I’m available. I cannot keep animals at my house per the rental restrictions. But I am more than happy to housesit/ pop in a couple times a day. Just let me know your preferences.

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Ashley took amazing care of our dogs and our home while we were away. She kept us updated throughout the stay with great communication and of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. The best part was coming home to happy, relaxed dogs, it was obvious they had been so well cared for that they hardly seemed to miss us! We truly appreciated the love and attention she gave each of them, as well as the care she took with our home. We are so grateful for everything she did and will absolutely be requesting her again for our future pet care needs. Highly recommend!

Colleen was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter. She was incredibly flexible with our schedule and consistently attentive, patient, and loving toward our pups. She truly went above and beyond by taking them on hikes, giving them plenty of walks, and making sure all of their individual needs were met so they stayed happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Her attention to detail really stood out, especially since she gave one of our dogs medication and made sure it was administered correctly. What also meant so much to us was her communication. Colleen provided daily check-ins and updates, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away from home. It was clear how much she genuinely cared about our dogs, and we felt completely confident knowing they were in such great hands. We would absolutely recommend Colleen to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and dedicated dog sitter, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!

We had such a wonderful experience with Shalyn! She took amazing care of our two dogs and our cat while we were traveling off island, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. One of our dogs is very anxious around new people and can sometimes be reactive toward both people and other dogs, so we were a little nervous about leaving him. From the initial meet and greet, though, Shalyn was patient, calm, and wonderful with him. He warmed up to her right away, which is incredibly rare and gave us so much peace of mind. Throughout our trip, Shalyn was incredibly communicative and sent us lots of photos and videos, which we always looked forward to. It was obvious from all the updates how comfortable our pets were with her. Seeing how much the dogs played with her, sought her out, and interacted with her made it clear they genuinely enjoyed having her there. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets, and we’re so grateful for the excellent care she provided. We look forward to booking Shalyn again for future sittings and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative pet sitter!

Andrés is the best sitter, hands down! While I've had Andrés housesit before, it was only for a night, but this time, he housesat for 5 nights. Pawson is so comfortable with Andrés because he takes such good care of him. Andrés followed all instructions to a tee, and he left things tidy. Andrés was communicative throughout my trip, sending updates regularly. Best of all, Andrés made sure that my Pawson was comfortable and active, relieving his stress. I'm so grateful for Andrés, and Pawson will definitely be seeing him regularly! Mahalo, Andrés!

FAQs for House Sitting - Tripler Army Medical Center

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Tripler Army Medical Center on Rover is $41.07 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 1,022 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Tripler Army Medical Center. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tripler Army Medical Center walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tripler Army Medical Center maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tripler Army Medical Center choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tripler Army Medical Center. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
