About: Currently an owner of a 6-year-old Golden Retriever. Pet sitter in Portland, Oregon, and have previously owned bunnies and cats. Open to playing fetch and going on long walks all day, or cuddling! I am a college student home for the summer, so I am currently available every day. I work from home, so I am flexible with my time. I provide care in my clients' homes, as I am unable to care for pets in my own home. I follow each pet's normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and plenty of attention to help them feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away.
“The best!! She treated our pups like her own. Lots of updates and very cute pictures. This was my first time using rover for pet care so I was a bit worried but the dogs felt comfortable with Yasmeen right away! Got a rover and pup photoshoot all in one.”

About: I grew up on a farm and have had dogs of every shape and size my entire life. I have experience with dogs with diabetes and am comfortable giving them their shots. I worked with horses so large animals do not scare me. I am willing to drive to any part of the island but I am located in Ewa Beach so please allow grace for traffic if you are townside. I have an elderly dog and young cat in my home so all animals must pass a flea inspection and have recent vaccines. If animal does not pass flea inspection they will not be allowed to stay in my home but I will go to yours and help treat them. I am currently unemployed due to medical conditions not letting me be able to be in large crowds. I can adapt my schedule to you and your animals needs because of this and can be available anytime outside of my appointments and treatment days. I have a larger fenced yard in Ewa Beach, I provide filtered water for all animals and treat any animal in my home as if it were my own. In my house animals are allowed on furniture and beds. I will always leave a space cleaner than found, if I am house sitting/pet sitting I will lightly clean the area. If your animal becomes muddy, or dirty under my care I will wash them.
“Thank you Liz for taking such good care of our fur babies! We have a very needy (high separation anxiety) puppy and she was able to stay with him and our other dog all day :D. She also followed our directions/routines to the tee - walking, feeding, training. She went above and beyond and even clear our floors when she noticed the dogs made it dirty. We are truly grateful for Liz. Her dedication and professionalism are unmatched! Will be reaching out to her again :)”
“Kylie took excellent care of my boys (2 cats 1 dog) while we did a little island hopping this week. The boys were happy and the house was nice and tidy when we returned. I know they were happy because they felt comfortable enough to cuddle in the bed with her on night one 🥰 She followed our care instructions perfectly and sent us daily updates. I couldn't ask for anything more! Will definitely book her again in the future 🥰”

“We used Veronica to house sit and to watch our cat and dog. Veronica communicate with us daily about our animals and sent us pictures. She was super friendly and listened to all of our needs in taking care of our animals. I would recommend Veronica and definitely will be using her again to watch our animals.”

“Mita was amazing with my dogs and cats. They love her and she is so communicative and easy to work with. She really took such amazing care of my babies. I will definitely be using her again.”

“We never were really comfortable with leaving our boys at the clinic while we travel. Kaya made it so easy for us. She is extremely friendly, helpful, kind and informative. We would definitely recommend her!”

About: I started sitting through my partner on here with her for the last 2 years. I have finally moved onto making my own profile here. I don’t just “watch” pets, I actually get to know them. Every animal has its own personality, routines, and little quirks, and I take the time to understand that so they feel comfortable and safe, not just supervised. With my background in healthcare, I’m naturally attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels .. things a lot of people might miss. That means your pet isn’t just cared for, they’re genuinely looked after. I also keep communication solid. You’ll get real updates, photos, and check-ins so you’re never wondering how things are going unless you choose not to have that. No guessing, no stress. I currently work part-time, so I have a pretty flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet attention. I’m available on weekends and most weekdays after 2 or also before 10am , and I can adjust when needed to fit your pet’s routine I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and stress-free, whether they’re in my home or theirs. I follow their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, and any special instructions. I pay attention to behavior and make sure they’re always supervised, relaxed, and well cared for.
“Samantha was wonderful with our furbabies! From the moment she arrived, they were surprisingly calm and receptive to her, which says a lot about her gentle energy and natural connection with animals. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared for them as if they were her own. Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals, and from a young age I learned to understand their personalities, rhythms, and unique ways of communicating. That natural sensitivity isn’t something you learn later in life—it’s something you grow up with. I’m a geographer with studies in biology and a master’s degree in territorial development, which gives me a deeper understanding of animal behavior, environment, and safety. My life has always been connected to nature. I rock climb and hike regularly, so if your pet is active, I can offer exploration, movement, and outdoor experiences. If your pet prefers calm, I provide routine, stability, and a peaceful environment. I adapt with patience to every temperament, from the most independent and reserved to the most affectionate and curious. My experience as a teacher strengthened my empathy, calm communication, and ability to create trust. I can also administer non‑injectable medications and keep you updated with photos and messages so you always feel at ease. I chose pet care because it brings me back to what’s real, simple, and full of heart. When your dog or cat stays with me, they’ll be treated with love, respect, and dedication—like part of my ʻohana. I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to whatever your pet needs. I’m available in the mornings, throughout the day, and in the evenings, including weekends. When possible, I also accept last‑minute requests. My priority is keeping your dog or cat on a stable routine, with steady company and a safe, calm environment. I only offer pet care in the client’s home and adventure walks, because I believe pets feel safer and more relaxed when they stay in their own familiar environment. In your home, I follow your pet’s routine exactly as they know it—feeding times, medication, play, rest, and any special instructions. I respect your home’s rules and adapt to your pet’s temperament, whether they’re independent, shy, or very affectionate. I also offer adventure walks, ideal for active dogs who enjoy exploring, hiking, or releasing energy in nature. Thanks to my experience with hiking and climbing, I guide them with calm attention, safety, and responsibility. In both cases, I keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. My priority is creating stability, trust, and a caring environment wherever your pet feels most at home.
“Seriously, the best dog sitter ever. My two GSD’s are not typical dogs. They like to bond with a person and enjoy lots of walks. VIctoria treated them like royalty, sent me a ton of pictures and walked the dogs several times a day. My house was clean when I got home and she had even washed and tied the sheets. I can’t say enough good things about her”

“Naomi was amazing with my two babies! Got pictures and updates all weekend long. She gave us peace of mind while we were away, making our time away a lot less stressful. Will definitely be rebooking for future services, my babies wouldn’t want it any other way.”

“Mike took great care of my 3 French bulldogs and my apartment for a week while I was away for Thanksgiving. All my dogs are under 2 years old so I was nervous how they’d do as this was my first time away from them. Mike walked them 3x a day, kept them quiet, broke up scuffles over toys, sent me/my boyfriend pictures, etc. My landlords live right downstairs and also said Mike did a great job.”

About: I’ve always been a responsible pet owner since I was little and have had numerous unique pets growing up. I love pet sitting, walking, and taking care of them all as if they were my own 🩷 I am currently a substitute teacher and have some extra time and days I don’t have work so I have free time for walks and cuddles. I have always prioritized safety in my different occupations doing security and corrections most of my life. I take pride in people’s trust in me in different ways.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pearl Harbor
Samantha did such a wonderful job caring for our pups while we were away! She was able to successfully manage our diabetic dog while simultaneously caring for our 9 month old puppy! She was great about sending pictures and asking questions as needed, showing she truly cared about ensuring our pups were well taken care of.

Rebecca is an absolute super star! She's amazing with our dog (Ember warmed up right away, when normally it takes a bit), her communication/response times are fast and she sent all of the sweetest photos of their adventures during our time away. She genuinely made everything so comfortable from the very first meet and greet & we can't wait to book with her again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review for Maribell! We reached out to Maribell the same day we needed care for our two Frenchies, Cash and Nala, and she immediately came through like an absolute lifesaver. She squeezed in a quick meet and greet, made us feel completely comfortable, and even offered to come to our home to pick up the dogs after we left so we wouldn’t risk missing our flight. Who does that?! She’s incredible. Throughout our trip off-island, she kept us updated with photos and messages so we always knew how our pups were doing. Both dogs looked so happy, relaxed, and loved. Cash and Nala have definitely decided she’s part of their inner circle now. She went above and beyond with both house sitting and boarding. You can tell she genuinely cares and treats your pets like family. We came home to two happy, well-loved pups and total peace of mind. We’re so grateful we found her and will absolutely book again. If you need someone dependable, thoughtful, and truly exceptional, Maribell is your girl. 💛

Kila did such an amazing job watching our dog Kilo (haha) we greatly appreciate her and her love and care towards our high energy Pitbull. She grew up with a vet tech mom so she has been around all sorts of walks of life and was fimiliar with pitbulls temperaments! We felt at ease leaving Kilo in her hands. Thanks Kila!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Pearl Harbor on Rover is $29.96 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,040 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pearl Harbor. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pearl Harbor walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pearl Harbor maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pearl Harbor choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pearl Harbor. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
