Communication was never an issue, and I received daily updates with pictures. I originally booked Ashley for house-sitting from 09/30/2022-10/12/2022 but had to adjust the stay from 09/29/2022-10/13/2022 due to flight issues. Ashley was more than accommodating and adjusted her schedule. I will definitely be booking her in the future. 100% recommend Ashley!”

“We’re so grateful for Janey! While on a ten-day trip, one of our kitties broke through a small screen window in our bathroom and went missing for 5 days. We had care scheduled for our kitties, but it became clear it would take more to bring our Stella kitty home. With still a week left in our trip, we were becoming very concerned Stella would not come home without a dedicated and persistent search effort, and that’s when we contacted Janey. Right from the start, Janey was empathetic about our situation and committed to helping. She went above and beyond our expectations, from bringing various types of fish to put out for our kitty to circulating our kitty’s photo on social media sites (with our permission), all while providing love and care to our other kitty, Oscar. Janey was easy to coordinate with and is a reliable communicator. Janey up finding our Stella kitty deep out into the yard behind our house when Oscar awoke her in the middle of the night. She saw eyes glowing in the yard, contacted us, and went out to investigate based on an intuition it was our Stella, which it was! She approached Stella carefully and brought her home safely. We highly recommend Janey for her great communication, dedication to help, and clear way with animals!!”

About: Hello! My husband and I have owned dogs our entire lives and are huge pet lovers. We treat all animals like they are our own and pride ourselves on providing excellent care. I have 10 years of pet sitting experience, with three of those years being full time. We have a fenced in yard and a jack russell terrier mix named Cooper, a chihuahua named Amber, and a dachshund named Willow. All of my dogs are friendly and will pick up on your dog's energy; they love to play but also are trained to respect boundaries. I've pet sat full time for three years, so they are used to dogs coming and going and are very friendly. I work from home part time, so I would be spending most, if not all day with your dog/s. I will be available all day for play time, cuddles, and potty breaks. My husband works during the day, and is home in the evenings. ***Please note that I work from home part time. My schedule is currently working from 2:15pm-6pm 3 days per week, and from 6am-11am on most weekends. I will be unavailable for drop ins, pickups, and drop offs during that time. I do require a meet and greet to ensure that everyone gets along. I require dogs to be up to date on their rabies and bordetella vaccines if they are boarding in our home. *** I only accept one family for dog boarding at a time (up to three dogs per family) so your pet/s will only be around my three dogs during their stay. This helps reduce stress on the dogs being around too many unfamiliar pets/people at once. Your pets comfort in our home is very important to me! *** All dogs must be crate trained. Your pets will be crated when no one is home and at night. I have experience with many different breeds and sizes of dogs (see photos). Our backyard is fenced in and we frequently let our dogs outside. They will never be left outside by themselves. I am respectful of your home and will leave it the same way I left it.

About: My first memories are gardening with my family and taking care of our dogs, horses and chickens. My first paid caretaker job was at age 14 for our neighbor’s 4 acres of pasture, 60 sheep, a ram, and a cat. The hardest part was getting up at 4 AM every day in the summer to open irrigation locks and ensure the pasture didn’t die in a high altitude desert environment. In high school I became a go-to petsitter in our community. I took care of horses, cats, dogs, cattle, goats, saltwater and freshwater aquariums, parrots, frogs, geckos, newts, etc. In my 20s I worked in NYC as a dog walker and dog runner for one of the best companies in Manhattan. Our team was trusted with high profile clients to provide exceptionally private service and maintain the utmost of discretion in regard to safety and security of their homes and pets. In my 30’s I have been house sitting for friends and family, sometimes for as long as one month. I am new to Rover, but since I recently relocated to Oahu a friend of mine recommended that I join their team, so here I am. Lastly, in addition to being a lover of all animals I am also rather good with plants! My favorite house sitting job ever was for 2 dogs (1 young, 1 old and in need of multiple daily medications), a cute cat, and approximately 35 house plants. 🌴✨😊 I am currently working part-time in person in Honolulu and part-time remotely. Depending on your trip duration, care needs, and ability to give me notice my schedule is flexible. Opening up your home to a stranger to take care of your loved ones requires a huge amount of trust from all parties. About: I have a deep love and appreciation for animals, especially both dogs and cats. I currently care for two cats I rescued since they were kittens! I have been a loving caregiver for my guinea pig pet for 6 years prior with much love and dedication as well as taking care of friends’ dogs. As for my skills, animals tend to feel calm and relaxed around me & I have experience with grooming, walking, and feeding animals. I am responsible, diligent, punctual, caring, and patient. I monitor their energy levels to see how they're doing and when they are ready for a walk or playtime, with a fresh water refill right after!

About: I’ve always been a responsible pet owner since I was little and have had numerous unique pets growing up. I love pet sitting, walking, and taking care of them all as if they were my own 🩷 I am currently a substitute teacher and have some extra time and days I don’t have work so I have free time for walks and cuddles. About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was young, helping family and friends whenever they traveled or had busy schedules. Whether it was just for the day or a few weeks, I’ve always loved making sure their pups felt safe, happy, and well cared for. A couple of years ago, I had the incredibly rewarding experience of fostering a rescue dog here on the island—and that’s when I decided to take my passion for pet care more seriously. When my neighbor had to move away, I stepped in to care for her pup and eventually found her a loving forever home. Caring for dogs is something I genuinely love and take pride in. I have a very flexible schedule this summer while I’m on break from school, which allows me to spend plenty of quality time with your pup! I'm available for frequent check-ins, walks, and extended stays to make sure your dog is well cared for. While I’m currently exploring a part-time job on the side, pet care is a top priority, and I remain very open and committed to my availability. I live up in the valleys with plenty of other furry friend owners! It is a calm area with a super friendly community! I also have a little yard they can use for quick potty breaks.
