About: I have had dogs my entire life, I have experience training 4 dogs from puppy age through middle age and up until senior age! The dogs I have taken care of range from big dogs (german shepherds) to tiny dogs (teacup chihuahuas). I have a very active lifestyle that allows me to have fun with the dogs and get them active. I have experienced working with shelter dogs, I actively walked them and fed them. I HAVE BASE ACCESS :) !! My schedule has my days ending early afternoons so I would be available to stop in for walks/check-ins after. My nights are flexible for night visits. I currently live in dorm housing where animals are not allowed but for care inside client homes I will keep a watchful eye when letting your pet out and pay close attention to instructions.
“We were a little nervous since this was our first time using Rover, but Samantha made the entire experience so easy. We appreciated receiving all the regular updates with lots of pictures, and quick communication. It was clear our pet was in good hands with her. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with again with Samantha and highly recommend her to anyone in the area!”

“Hayley checked in on our pup a few times and spoilt her. Hayley sent lots of photos and provided a detailed update of her visit too, which was much appreciated. Thank you! We would definitely book with Hayley again.”

“Veronica has been a wonderful pet sitter for our two kitties!! We have booked her twice and would choose her again without hesitation. She has exceptional care, reliability, and a genuine love for animals!”
“Lily is great with my girls! Great communication, and she even did a mini photo shoot with them for Christmas which was so sweet. You can tell she really cares about the pets she watches. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve always had pets of my own and love to give them the best care of their needs, whether it’s love & affection to mental or physical stimulation, I’m ready to enjoy the day with them, Your pup will have so much fun with my dog (Oreo) & I. We hike daily and if your pup is active, they are more than welcome to join us on any hikes that we do! Or if they just like simple short walks that’s great too! I work part time and my schedule is pretty flexible, as long as I know ahead of time, we can work out a schedule that works out! I have a fenced in yard for bathroom breaks or for play time. If your dog is crate trained during the night and you wish to continue, I have medium size crate but you are welcome to drop off their own crate with them, if they like to rest in their own crate, otherwise they are free to roam around the house and rest anywhere! Does your dog have any allergies to food/other things? or is reactive with another dog, or around food? • please let me know in advance so I can take precautions. I love updates of what my pup is doing throughout the day, when I’m not with her, so if you love getting updates of pictures of your pup throughout the day or at the end of the day just let me know!
“Aimee has been fantastic with my two dogs! She always shows up, gives them great walks, and keeps me updated with cute photos. My dogs love her, and I can tell they're well cared for. Highly recommend Aimee if you need a reliable person to take care of your dogs.”

About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life. My family dog, Buddy, is 12 years old, and we’ve had him since I was in 7th grade. Even after moving out, I still help care for him by taking him on his midday walks and spending time with him whenever I can. I know how much pets mean to their families, and I also understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet isn’t always easy. If I were hiring someone to care for Buddy, I’d want someone who is dependable, respectful, and keeps me updated every step of the way—and that’s exactly the kind of sitter I strive to be. I’m very communicative, flexible, and reliable. I’ll always follow your instructions, respect your home, and send plenty of updates and photos so you know your pet is safe and having a great time. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable and confident while you’re away. I have a very flexible schedule, so I’m available throughout the week for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. Since I’m home most days, I have plenty of time to give your pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I’m happy to work with your schedule whenever possible, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. While I’m not able to board pets in my own home, I’m happy to care for them in the comfort of their own home where they’re most relaxed. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of playtime, walks, and lots of love and attention. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands.

“Brandi is great! She is very communicative and is always on time. My two pups absolutely love her! She brightens their day when she comes over to give them a potty break during our long work hours. Our older dog has some health problems and she gives him his mid-day mediation. Their quality of life is so much better now that she’s a part of it!”
“I reached out to Sean based off a positive recommendation and am so glad I did! Sean is an animal lover through and through and understands what it’s like being away from fur babies. He kept me updated with pictures and videos and loved on all my kitties for me! Highly recommend!”

About: As a professional hypnotherapist specializing in emotional trauma, I bring a calm, empathetic presence to pet care. Combined with my nannying background and experience raising three dogs from puppy (2 Bullterriers & 1 Staffordshire mix) and currently caring for my recently adopted 1.5 year old female doberman, I create a balanced environment perfect for soothing anxious pets, and caring for dogs of all ages I am currently building my business and have plenty of flexible home office time, so there is lots of time and opportunity to go for walks and play time. Our home is roomy & secure and I can fit a small to medium crate if needed. We have lots of walkways and I love to go take dog for beach walks or easy hikes when I can

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals and my personal experience caring for both cats and dogs throughout my life. I had my beloved dog, Koko, from the time I was 14 years old, and caring for her over the years taught me responsibility, patience, and the importance of understanding a pet's unique needs at every stage of life. Although Koko recently passed away, she will always hold a special place in my heart and helped shape the compassionate caregiver I am today. I currently have an energetic orange kitten named Belu, who keeps me on my toes and reminds me every day how rewarding pet care can be. Through my experiences, I've learned how to provide attentive, loving care, follow routines, recognize behavioral changes, and ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand the trust owners place in me when caring for their furry family members. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, even while balancing a full-time job at a hotel and a part-time position. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to each day. Caring for pets is rewarding and helps me unwind, as being around animals always lifts my mood and brings a sense of happiness and fulfillment. As a pet owner, I know how important it is for pets to feel comfortable and cared for when their owners are away. I provide loving, attentive care by maintaining their normal routine, including feeding, playtime, walks, cleanup, and lots of affection. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: Hi! I’m Charlotte, an active-duty U.S. Army soldier stationed at Fort Shafter. I grew up with dogs throughout my childhood and have had several family dogs over the years, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels. I’m dependable, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, fresh water, or just some extra attention while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same care and kindness I’d want for my own pets. I’ll always communicate clearly, arrive on time, and send updates with photos so you know your pet is in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! My Army work schedule keeps me busy during the day, but I’m available for pet care every weekday from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. On weekends, I’m available continuously from 5:00 PM on Friday until 5:00 AM on Monday, making me available for weekend house sitting, overnight care, walks, and drop-in visits. I’m committed to providing dependable, attentive care and will keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special instructions you provide. During every visit, I’ll send updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is being well cared for while you’re away. I’ll always respect your home and treat your pet like one of my own. Because I live in the barracks, I currently provide dog walking and drop-in visits at your home rather than boarding pets.
“Caroline was amazing!! She gave daily detailed updates and pictures while checking in on my 2 cats, and made sure to spend plenty of time playing with them and giving cuddles. She went above and beyond to take care of a couple of other things around the house as well while we were away. Hoping she’ll be available again in the future when we need a sitter! Thanks so much!!”

“Our two small doggies had very good care while we were away. Both doggies were happy and comfortable, and our doggie on meds got them twice a day without fail. Dagmar has excellent communication - couldn't be any happier there. We recommend and wouldn't hesitate to book her again!”

About: I’ve always had multiple dogs growing up and once I got out of grad school, I decided to get a dog to call my own. But I tell everyone that she found me, not the other way around :) From walks, to dog parks, to hikes, and many more, I enjoy spending time with dogs and seeing them happily play with their friends (both new and old). I have experience caring for dogs who are sick or who may have some anxiety. With that, I’m big on taking photos of pets, so you’ll constantly receive updates from me. I work from home full time and am able to take fur friends out on walks throughout the day. My neighborhood is very dog friendly and there’s always a new dog on the block to make friends with. I recently lost my fur baby of 11 years. I work from home full time so I’m able to care for your pup depending on their needs and how often they need to walk/be outdoors. I still have three beds to choose from so your pup will also be able to choose from that selection.

About: Hi! I am currently a stay at home mom so I am home to give your dog all the attention they could need! I also have 2 animal obsessed daughter who love on every dog we watch, some regulars even end up sleeping with them at night. We have been pet sitting for the past 13 years and have watched about every age and breed out there. As an added bonus we live right across the street from the airport for easy drop-offs. I am a dog mama to a sweet 9 year old goldendoodle (Pickles) and a silly 4 year old sheepadoodle (Olive) who love playing with other dogs and helping wear them out! I can let your dog out as often as needed for walks and potty breaks. I will try and keep your dogs schedule as normal as possible. I'm currently staying home as my daughter take online school so I am home all day to take care of your dog. That means morning snuggles, midday walks, out anytime they want. We have a fenced yard for potty breaks and a great neighborhood for walks. I have 2 dogs who always enjoy new friends over to play with (and nap after)

Jamie was my first ever rover sitter and she was so so wonderful! I was so anxious to leave my babies at home, but she went above and beyond to make sure they were well taken care of— even braving a hurricane to check on them! Highly recommend & I would definitely trust Jamie with Dora and Diego again!!!

Caroline has been awesome! She drops in with my pup during the day to give him some play time, potty time, and fresh water. Axl has been having so much fun with her! She’s very communicative and is always on time. She takes great pics of our little guy, and gives the best updates on the Rover card. We look forward to booking with Caroline again!

We were a little nervous since this was our first time using Rover, but Samantha made the entire experience so easy. We appreciated receiving all the regular updates with lots of pictures, and quick communication. It was clear our pet was in good hands with her. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with again with Samantha and highly recommend her to anyone in the area!

Very grateful and appreciative of Chloe’s help with dropping by daily to check in on my dog while I was away on a last-minute vacation for over a week! She provided daily updates with pictures and is professional, courteous and kind. My neighbors also happened to meet her when she visited and said the same. She was a pleasure and easy-going to work with! Would recommend again.

Kristina has helped take care of my senior cat twice and has been great both times! She was available even on short notice the second time. I have a hard time leaving my cat and worry a lot, but Kristina’s photos and updates during each visit make me feel much better. Very communicative throughout as well. I know my kitty is in good hands as her knowledge and care for animals is evident - she was even able to administer my cat’s medications while we were gone. I am so happy to have found someone I can trust and would recommend Kristina to anyone looking for care!

Tamah went above and beyond for our cats. One of our pets was put on emergency antibiotics days before our trip was scheduled. Tamah did an amazing job making sure she was given her medicine daily and sent us lots of updates. I would absolutely have her back! 10/10!

I feel really lucky to have found Derrica. She was so flexible and easy to work with, which made everything feel a lot less stressful from the start. What meant the most to me was how genuinely caring she is. You can just tell she really loves the animals she’s watching. She kept me updated with the best pictures, which I genuinely looked forward to, and she was always quick to reach out if anything came up. That kind of communication made such a difference and gave me real peace of mind. And honestly, Virgo loving her said everything. It was clear she felt comfortable and happy with her, which means the world to me. I’m so grateful to have found someone so reliable, kind, and attentive. I would absolutely trust Derrica again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will truly care for their pet.

Taylor was so amazing with our boys! They welcomed her from the get-go, including our shy boy. I didn't have to worry at all. She provided pics for updates, which was a plus! She went above and beyond for what I expected. I would have her pet-sit in a heartbeat again. 🤗 thank you so much, Taylor. 😄

Brandi is great! She is very communicative and is always on time. My two pups absolutely love her! She brightens their day when she comes over to give them a potty break during our long work hours. Our older dog has some health problems and she gives him his mid-day mediation. Their quality of life is so much better now that she’s a part of it!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
