About: I've been caring for pets since I was 11 years old, and taking care of animals have always been a big part of my life. I have extensive experience with large and small dogs and am equally comfortable caring for cats. I also had the opportunity to care for pets belonging to U.S. State Department and Embassy families while living in Hanoi, Vietnam, which gave me experience with a variety of breeds, personalities, and care routines. I am experienced in giving medication to dogs, dogs with special needs and extensive needs and older dogs who sometimes might have medical issues! “My dog is on five different types of medications to address her irritable bowel and her arthritis. The doses cannot be missed and have to be administered on a strict schedule. Over the years, my dog has learned how to hide the pills in her mouth then spit them out when you’re not looking. If she misses her medications - especially the ones for irritable bowel - she gets sick very quickly and will get diarrhea. Sometimes violent and frequent diarrhea. So I was quite nervous about leaving her with people who weren’t familiar with her issues and her tricks. But Karen and Tony handled her like pros. How do I know? Because I came home to a healthy dog who showed no signs of having missed any meds. I can’t thank them enough for taking such good care of my Coco. Oh, and bonus, they are respectful sitters who left my home just as I had left it. They even laundered the sheets!
