“Greg is amazing! I couldn’t asked for a better place to leave my dog while I’m away! Greg is very professional and knows what he is doing (better than I do)! His place is very accommodating. His dog, Zephyr, is the sweetest and becomes best friend with my dog. It makes me very happy to know that my dog is in a good care and have best friend to play with. Bonus points, Greg sent cute photos of my dog during his stay! I already re-booked Greg for my long trip and will definitely book him again if I’m away.”

“Rose took wonderful care of Mana. She was kind, caring, Mana was happy and well looked after, and I could tell she was in great hands. I’m so glad I chose Rose as our sitter. Thank you so much for your excellent care. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.”

About: I bring over 10 years of hands-on experience working with animals, including more than 5 years as a kennel assistant and 5 years as a veterinary assistant. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve developed strong skills in administering medications, including insulin and asthma treatments. My time in a veterinary hospital has also given me valuable experience working with animals of all temperaments, allowing me to stay calm, patient, and attentive in any situation. I’m a full-time pet sitter, which means your pet gets my complete time, attention, and care. I’m dedicated to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved, and that their time with me is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I have 5 years of veterinary medical experience and feel confident providing a wide range of care for pets of all needs—from those requiring more involved medical support to those who simply need extra love and cuddles. I take cleanliness and safety seriously, thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing between each client to ensure a healthy, comfortable environment for your furry friend.
“Shauna greeted us friendly and was able to see in early morning. Our family went to Kualoa Ranch which has no pet policy so we had Shauna for few hours. After pet sitting, my dog vomited few times since he ate sitter's dog food and I haven't been informed that.”

“Tracey and her family saved the day. I had a previous meet and greet with another rover and it didn't go well. I found Tracey and she took us in last minute and gave me updates and I felt very safe leaving my dog with her. Thank you so much!”

“Raven loves spending the day with Lauren and Maddie!! We immediately felt comfortable with Lauren when we came to her home for a meet and greet. She has a fenced front and back yard, and lots of room to play. Maddie is a sweet girl and a great playmate. I'm hoping that Raven will pick up some good habits from her!! Lauren was very flexible when I was running late one day from work. Appreciate her accommodation and terrific care.”

“I never used Rover before and I am a helicopter dog mom but Haily made me feel comfortable. I love the video and pictures that i get throughout the day she’s with him. Milo (my puppy) absolutely loves going to doggy daycare with her.”

About: A retired marine biologist. I have had dogs my entire life. Raised puppies and watched them grow old. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and energy levels. Retired. I’m available most days if you need your pets to be simply fed, let out to pee, or to be entertained. While I take same day requests, there are no guarantees because I have several regularly scheduled walks and drop ins. Please reply promptly, I archive when no response in 24 hours. I have a fenced yard and a young corgi who has full run of the house. He can be shy to other dogs. If your dog has any aggressive tendencies or Keahi does not get along with them for whatever reason, we cannot board your dog. Meet and greets are mandatory before any boarding or daycare. Dogs must be house trained for boarding or daycare (paper trained is not house trained). I cannot and will not leave food out. If your dog has issues eating when they are fed (I feed them when I feed my dog), I have to take your dog’s food away and store it. This is a house, not a kennel where your dog has an assigned lot. If your dog has these feeding issues, consider another sitter. Same goes for finicky or difficult medical application. I have no kids on property.

About: I’ve taken care of a handful of dogs before and every experience I’ve had was nothing short of amazing. I hope to have the privilege to experience more of that. I’m currently unemployed and hoping to make a little money so fitting your babies into my schedule is no problem at all as I'm only doing school now. I currently only have Guinea pigs and cats in my home, we have had dogs before but not anymore. I would say the care I give my animals goes above and beyond, I absolutely adore my babies so nothing is too much for them. I feed, play and clean up after them every single day and I really do enjoy all of it. Animals are absolutely my passion and i hope to pursue something long term involving them and so it is my absolute pleasure to watch over your babies because they get me one step closer to being able to do that. Two words I would use to describe my cats, loved and spoiled.
“Katharine and Daniel took wonderful care of my fur baby! I needed a sitter on short notice and they really helped me out! I will definitely be booking with them again.”

About: My husband and I have always cared for and owned dogs, but we currently don’t have one and are missing our fur friends! I recently moved from England to Hawaii to join my husband here for work, and before welcoming a dog of our own, we’d love to spend time caring for yours! I will be the primary caregiver, as I work fully from home. Back in England, I looked after my mom’s dog almost every day for the past six years whenever I wasn’t working at the hospital, as I worked from home a lot too. I also regularly cared for friends’ and family’s dogs for overnight stays, weekends and holidays. In fact, I became the go-to dog sitter in our little English village! As a healthcare professional, I understand the importance of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail. Caring for others has always been at the heart of what I do, and I bring that same level of patience, compassion, and commitment to every dog I care for. We know that every dog has their own unique personality and routine, and we’ll make sure your pup feels safe, happy, and so very loved while you’re away. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, we’ll care for them as if they were our own! I (Carmen) will be the primary caregiver, with Cam (husband) home in the evenings for cuddles and post-dinner beach walks with us. I currently work from home, part-time as a UK-registered Dietitian. I’d love a fur colleague to keep me company! I walk, run or swim at the beach every morning or lunchtime and evenings too, and Kalama Beach is only a 10 minute walk from our house. My husband who is as pup-obsessed as me works with the military (he’s a ex-marine officer) so he’s not around as much but he would absolutely love doggy kisses to welcome him home after work. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are our top priorities. We have a large shared yard that is fully enclosed, with two access points that we securely block off whenever a dog is outside, so they can enjoy the space safely under our supervision. We share the yard with three lovely neighboring couples who are also dog lovers, creating a friendly and welcoming environment. Our home is a spacious two-story, three-bedroom house with plenty of room for your pup to relax. After beach adventures or muddy walks, we even have two bathtub showers ready for rinsing off sandy paws and giving your dog a little spa treatment! We’ll follow your dog’s usual routine, provide lots of love and attention, and ensure they’re always supervised and cared for as if they were our own.
“Rebekah and Nova are the best! My little dog LOVES to spend the day with them - he always looks so content when I pick him up. She’s so considerate and very flexible. I highly recommend her as a sitter!”

“Keyshla has gone above and beyond for our fur babies! We are very thankful for the care she provides and we know our dogs are always safe when we drop them off to her. Thank you so much Keyshla!”

About: My dogs have always been my best friends. I have had experience with small, medium, and large dogs. I am careful to listen to and respect the routine and rules that you have for your fur baby, no matter how big or small. I’m a big fan of taking them for walks on the beach and shady hikes! I also love a good excuse to drive around looking for a good place for my pup to stretch her legs, or be a good cuddle buddy. I am currently a small business owner in private practice as a healthcare provider. Dog sitting was something I loved doing for many years, but paused to do to care for my senior dog for the last 3 years. After recently losing her, and not being ready for a new love of my own, I’d be honored for the opportunity to care for your pet. I live in Kaaawa but am able to travel anywhere on island to care for your pet(s). Thank you for reading my profile, & I hope to hear from you soon! I work from home doing telehealth, largely from 11-4 M/W/F so I have lots of time and breaks to spend with your pet. I spend most days at home, able to provide exercise and maintain routine feeding throughout the day. I am used to administering meds on a schedule and provide frequent updates to owners (if they’d like!). I am careful to follow the house rules and your pet’s routine. I know it takes a lot of trust for someone to care for your fur baby, and I am a trusted member of the community. I am transparent about my stay in your home and understand it is a privilege to be there and be trusted to care for your animal. I provide lots of play time and cuddles! I always leave homes cleaner than they are left. My reviews are older because of the break I took from Rover to care for my senior pup, but I still value the same service.
“Nichole has been great! We needed last minute help with our young puppy. She was super responsive from the get go, and was able to accommodate us on fairly short notice. We have felt very comfortable with our puppy in her care and will definitely use her help again in the future.”

I have plenty of time and space to give your pets the attention they need I keep my dogs on a strict feeding/potty schedule and pay attention to their cues, I can provide the same level of care and attention to detail for your pets! Excellent daycare for my young pups. Greg clearly knows how to manage dogs of all kinds and was easy to trust with my 3m old pups. His dog got along great with them and their yard was a fantastic area to get some exercise. Greg also provided walks in a lush green area of the island. Highly recommend!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
