“Tracey was super responsive and provided frequent updates about our Bodhi boy. He had a great time playing with the other small pups. Definitely recommend!”

“I never used Rover before and I am a helicopter dog mom but Haily made me feel comfortable. I love the video and pictures that i get throughout the day she’s with him. Milo (my puppy) absolutely loves going to doggy daycare with her.”

“Keyshla has gone above and beyond for our fur babies! We are very thankful for the care she provides and we know our dogs are always safe when we drop them off to her. Thank you so much Keyshla!”

About: Our oldest dog is 5 years old, being an intelligent, high energy breed she’s taught me everything I know! I wanted to start dog sitting specifically for military families, so you can be confident your pets are in good hands for an affordable price when you need to leave the island or are working long hours! MUST have access onto Hickam military base I’m a stay at home mom so I’m always home! I have plenty of time and space to give your pets the attention they need I keep my dogs on a strict feeding/potty schedule and pay attention to their cues, I can provide the same level of care and attention to detail for your pets! I have a fenced in yard and the AC is always on!
“Truffles has such great fun and memories with Nichole and family! He really loves all the s uggling and attention they give, as well as the fun activities with furry friends and people. Definitely recommend!”

“Giselle was super caring and supportive! It was our first time using Rover so we were worried especially cuz our dog has separation anxiety. But Giselle sent many photos throughout the day and gave us updates on how our dog was doing.”

“Makayla was very patient with my Labrador puppy despite a hectic drop off. My puppy was anxiously barking, jumping & whining. Makayla did a great job comforting her, took her on several walks and to the dog park to play fetch. I know my puppy can be a handful, so I’m extremely grateful that doggy day care went so well! I would hire Makayla again.”

“I highly recommend Catalina if you need someone to take care of your pet. She is dedicated, compassionate, and understanding towards animals. If you want someone who will treat your pet with love, then Catalina on Rover.com is the right person for you. I recently booked Catalina for doggy day care on Rover.com when I was in town. Even though I arranged it at the last minute, Catalina was a lifesaver for my 12-year-old Miniature American Eskimo, Nimbus, who has slight separation anxiety. Catalina was very friendly and welcoming from the beginning, which helped me and Nimbus feel at ease. Even though I forgot to bring Nimbus's toys, Catalina took care of her well during the seven hours she was with her. Catalina went above and beyond to make sure Nimbus was comfortable. Nimbus was given specific treats that I provided, brushed, and walked. It was clear that Catalina cared for Nimbus and was aware of her anxiety. Catalina was also mindful of Nimbus's behavior. Nimbus is not good with other dogs and has a tendency to chase cats. Catalina kept Nimbus in a safe and comfortable environment and made sure she was away from anything that could distress her. This shows how much Catalina tailors her care to each pet's specific needs. Catalina's ability to adapt to Nimbus's specific needs proves why I highly recommend her services on Rover.com.”

About: I petsit frequently for family, friends and neighbors for weeks at a time in my home and their homes. I have years of experience around all kinds of different animals. I understand different personalities in pets and can work around them. I stay at home with my two kids, who love animals. My schedule is always open so I am able to follow a unique routine. I have a large fenced in yard with plenty of toys, energetic kids and two cats. One cat likes to play outside while the other stays inside. I have rooms set up in my home for animals who prefer to be by themselves.
About: A retired marine biologist. I have had dogs my entire life. Raised puppies and watched them grow old. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and energy levels. Retired. I’m available most days if you need your pets to be simply fed, let out to pee, or to be entertained. While I take same day requests, there are no guarantees because I have several regularly scheduled walks and drop ins. Please reply promptly, I archive when no response in 24 hours. I have a fenced yard and a young corgi who has full run of the house. He can be shy to other dogs. If your dog has any aggressive tendencies or Keahi does not get along with them for whatever reason, we cannot board your dog. Meet and greets are mandatory before any boarding or daycare. Dogs must be house trained for boarding or daycare (paper trained is not house trained). I cannot and will not leave food out. If your dog has issues eating when they are fed (I feed them when I feed my dog), I have to take your dog’s food away and store it. This is a house, not a kennel where your dog has an assigned lot. If your dog has these feeding issues, consider another sitter. Same goes for finicky or difficult medical application. I have no kids on property.

However, I can accommodate specific requests, such as keeping your pet downstairs, crating at night, or allowing it to roam and sleep on its bed.

After my last river sister moved away, I was a apprehensive about someone else watching Thumper. Hailey and Benjamin made everything easy from the first meet and great, slowly introducing their dogs one at a time and then letting them all roam around their yard, to the first drop off. Thumper was a bit nervous when he was dropped off, but slowly calmed down and enjoyed himself there. Everything made me calm down as well. I got a check-in update and lots of pictures. I am excited for his next visit and glad I found someone that both Thumper and I are both comfortable with!!!!

Thank you so much for taking care of Avie. Veronica was very sweet and kind. She did a fantastic job taking care of Avie. We were updated with lots of pictures and how things were going. I will definitely be using Veronica again. Again, thank you! I am so grateful.

Chelsie was absolutely amazing with my dog! From the start, she was so kind, responsive, and clearly cared deeply about giving him the best experience possible. My pup is pretty anxious and definitely high-maintenance, requiring a lot of extra care and attention, and Chelsie handled it all so effortlessly. She truly went above and beyond—taking him everywhere with her and making sure he felt included, safe, and loved the entire time he was away from me. He also has a pretty intensive medication schedule, and she managed it perfectly, which gave me so much peace of mind. She kept me constantly updated with tons of photos and detailed messages, so I always knew how he was doing. It was clear he was getting lots of great care and attention. I’m beyond grateful and would 100% trust Chelsie again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who treats your pet like their own! 🐾💛

Rosie has been going to daycare once a week w Kaylee for the last 6 months. My awkward dog has grown more and more outgoing And playful with the other daycare dogs and gets so excited in the morning at the word "daycare". Kaylee's very good at slowly introducing dogs of different personalities and I've always felt so safe and happy dropping off my "baby".

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
