“It was my first time using dog daycare, and Daisy was great! She replied really fast and was super friendly with Spotty. She sent me photos during the day, and Spotty looked so happy. He had such a good time that we’ve already booked our next daycare with her!”

“I can not say enough great things about Luis and Christine!! They truly love animals and could not have provided a more welcoming and loving environment for my dog. Christine baked homemade, nutritional treats specific for my dog :) Luis and Christine not only took my pup on several walks throughout the day, but took her on adventures throughout the island! They really are not your average sitter, but so much more! I hope to book again as they really are amazing people.”

“Pepper really enjoyed her stay with Kelly. Kelly is very prompt and a good communicator. I enjoyed receiving updates throughout the stay with photos and comments on how Pepper was settling in. We will keep Kelly in mind for our future needs, thank you!”
“Aris took such great care of my little fur baby. She was very nurturing and so kind. She sent updates often and gave my baby all of her attention. I would definitely recommend! Thank you Aris for taking care of Sammie! She had so much fun with you! ❤️”

“Had our first daycare with Karinne and the pups came out smiling! She was very thorough from before meeting to during and with good follow up after; took time to understand each of their behaviors and personalities; and showed a lot of care and kindness. Deeply appreciative of having someone to trust and watch my doggies especially since they have a bit of separation anxiety. They were calm and pleasantly tired after long day!”

About: I’m a reliable and caring animal lover with experience both as a pet owner and working in hospitality, where attention to detail and excellent care for others are essential. Having my own pet has taught me how important it is to provide animals with patience, consistency, and lots of love. I understand how much pets mean to their families and always treat them like my own. My background in hospitality has strengthened my responsibility, communication, and ability to create a safe and comfortable environment. I’m attentive to each pet’s unique personality and needs, whether that means energetic walks, playtime, or calm companionship at home. My goal is to make sure every pet feels happy, safe, and well cared for while their owners have complete peace of mind. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I already maintain an active lifestyle with daily walks and a structured schedule, so incorporating dog walks, check-ins, and pet sitting throughout the day works seamlessly for me. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and caring for them is something I prioritize in my routine. Because I also come from a hospitality background, I’m very attentive, responsible, and used to providing high-quality care and service. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening visits, I make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care as if they were my own. care for every pet the same way their owner would in their own home. My goal is to keep their routine, comfort, and environment as consistent as possible so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I take time to understand each pet’s specific needs, whether that’s feeding schedules, walk routines, playtime, medications, or simply giving them extra attention and affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat the space with the same respect and responsibility I would my own. I focus on creating a calm, loving environment where your pet receives personalized care, exercise, and companionship. I also like to provide a premium experience for both pets and owners. That means attentive care, regular updates and photos, clean and organized spaces, and making sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I truly treat every pet as if they were my own.
“Fiji had a great time staying with Amy! Clearly Amy did a great job because Fiji warmed up to her quickly. She sent me lots of photos throughout the day. Thank you!”

“Saige had a great time with Courtney! We were given updates throughout the day from Courtney which was really nice and you can tell she’s a big dog person. Would 100% recommend.”

“Daniel was super flexible. We had to find someone new last minute to do a doggy daycare for our pup, and he was quick to respond and super caring for her! He sent photos and videos of taking her on a walk. I would highly recommend Daniel to watch your pup :)”
About: I had dogs since I was very young. As a child, I wanted to grow up to become a vet, but I realized I'm allergic to cats, and some dogs. Even with allergies I'll still watch them because I love them and that's what allergy pills are for 😆. Care taking animals at home is one of my dream jobs, and I'm very lucky to be able to have a safe space for my furry friends to hang out at. I've been fostering with Paws of Hawaii for almost 3 years. I love being able to help provide a home to those in need, and it's so much fun seeing all the different personalities. I just love being surrounded by dogs. I like to train simple and fun tricks with them! My house basically became a doggy day care with fosters and dog sitting my friends furbabies! I'm currently working part time for music and acting so I have a lot of time. I spend most days hanging out with my dog, a foster, and sometimes my friends dog when I get asked to dogsit. I have a fenced yard, 1 dog of my own, and usually 1 foster or 2 fosters. We hang out multiple times a day out in the yard, to play and relax. They are allowed to roam around the house, I'm very attentive. I also have a crate for when I need to leave the house. All dogs are crate trained, and fed in the crate at my house. I change out the water frequently and give them filtered water.
About: Hi, I’m Chloe! I’ve grown up surrounded by animals of all kinds, and caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. I currently have 2 cats and 1 dog, so I’m very familiar with different personalities, routines, and energy levels. One thing I specialize in is caring for dogs with separation anxiety. Since I’m home full-time and don’t work outside the house, I’m able to provide constant companionship and can stay with your pet all day if needed. I’ve cared for many dogs who become anxious when left alone, so I understand the patience, consistency, and reassurance they need to feel safe and comfortable. I’ve also cared for family and friends’ pets for years, helping with walks, feeding, playtime, medication when needed, and keeping them company. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs extra attention, I’ll treat them like one of my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Since I’m not currently working, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets my full attention. I’m home a lot, so I’m able to keep a close eye on them, stick to their routines, and make sure they get lots of care, playtime, and company throughout the day I live in a townhouse with my dog Roxy and my three kittens. Roxy is a small Chihuahua, very energetic, friendly, and used to being around other animals. My cats are also very social and comfortable in a multi-pet home. It’s a calm, pet-friendly space where animals are part of everyday life. I also love staying active with walks, trips to the dog park, and going to the beach when the weather’s nice. Pets staying with me would get lots of attention, care, and companionship in a safe, relaxed environment (with lots of cuddles)
“My dog, Shizuka, suffers from separation anxiety, which prevents me from leaving her alone for more than 10 to 15 minutes. So, when my wife and I had an event to attend, I found Camryn on Rover. I was still concerned that Shizuka might act out when left with a stranger, but she was great with Camryn. When I picked her up, Shizuka was very calm and appeared to be happy staying with her new friend.”

About: I take care of dogs just like they are my own children. I always keep an eye on them to make sure they feel safe and loved. If I take them for a walk I make sure I clean them before they come back to the house. I allow them to sleep in my room on the floor. If the pet’s owner asks me to follow certain directions I will follow 100%. I like to take them for walks about 3 x a day. Dogs need exercise too. When my students come I make sure the dog is entertained by the children. Kids love dogs and dogs feel extra loved by my students. I like to take the dogs in the backyard to play. I make sure the owners want to bring their dogs back again. I’m semi retired and I have plenty of time to care for your pups. I’m available from Monday through Friday . I will make some exceptions for weekends . They are welcome to walk around the house but I will probably just keep them in the living room. At night I will make sure they feel safe and sleep next to me but not on my bed.
“Cruzer only stayed with Kelly for about 4 hours so it is hard to review her. This is my first experience with someone watching over him. Maybe I need to experience others to get a better idea what I want in a sitter.”

About: I grew up with dogs (chow-chows), but have really only sat for others for about 6 years. I have recently relocated from California and am excited to start watching pets on Oahu. I am presently in massage school 9-1 daily so this gives me plenty of time to give your pet the quality care they need for lots of love and attention. I can board up to 2 small animals/dogs in my home (Honolulu) or come to you for overnight house sitting, drop in visits, and/or walks.
About: I know that your dog is more than just a pet—they’re family. That’s why I provide loving, reliable, and stress-free dog-sitting services tailored to your pup’s needs. Whether you’re away for a few hours or an extended trip, you can count on me to offer attentive care, regular exercise, and plenty of belly rubs. With a passion for animals and years of experience, I ensure your furry friend stays happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away. Book with me today and give your dog the care they deserve! I’m currently a SAHM so my schedule is typically open. I do however only watch one dog at a time to provide them with a comfortable stay. They must have a bed or kennel provided with their stay. I will follow special instructions, if needed. I feed them, take them on walks, play with them, pet and cuddle them. Maybe, take them on a car ride if they like that.
About: I grew up with animals throughout my life and always had neighbors and friends who asked me to watch their dogs! I've stayed over at friends' houses or had their babies come stay with me, let's chat and I'm sure we can figure out the best plan. My previous pup was an Australian Shepard who I trained myself and is very active! This means a lot of walks and trips to the dog park-and if it's not too hot out, runs! I'm currently working part-time but will have plenty of time to play with and care for your pup! I can do overnights either in your house and can stop by almost any day, at any time, to let them out or take them for a walk! I have always been extremely protective of my dog and would treat yours with the same consideration-never putting them in risky situations or around dogs that are aggressive. I consider dogs as part of the family and believe they deserve respect, love, and attention.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Honolulu
I needed someone to take care of my dog for just one day, and Alessandra was the answer. She was professional, friendly, and communicative from the very beginning. Throughout the day, she kept me updated, which gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was being well cared for. I highly recommend Alessandra to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and caring pet sitter. I would not hesitate to book with her again.

Maple was great, we’d definitely love for her to watch our pup Lovely again. Maple accepted our last-minute request, and responded quickly. Then, during Lovely’s day with Maple, Maple sent lots of updates, with pictures and videos. Lovely is shy around new people, but Maple was patient with her and let her take the lead on what she was comfortable with. For example, Lovely was shy to go in the house at first, so Maple set her up on a long-line on the deck and kept the door open so Lovely could go inside whenever she was ready. This was our first time using Rover, and we’re so grateful to have found Maple!

My dog, Shizuka, suffers from separation anxiety, which prevents me from leaving her alone for more than 10 to 15 minutes. So, when my wife and I had an event to attend, I found Camryn on Rover. I was still concerned that Shizuka might act out when left with a stranger, but she was great with Camryn. Courtney is literally heaven sent! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She made it really easy from drop-off to pick up. She sent us pictures thru out the day while they went walking, to the beach, etc. She made us feel extremely comfortable and was very communicative. We couldn’t have asked for kinder more caring dog sitter. I can’t wait to book our next visit with her!

We are so thankful for Aaron and Ellie. They took great care of Aina and made her feel comfortable even though she was nervous at first. She settled in quickly and had a great time. I could tell she was happy and relaxed. Highly recommend them and will definitely book again❤️

Eon Ju was great with Huckleberry, and sent me lots of pictures, a video, and messages on how he was doing. Huckleberry also took a liking to Eon Ju right away and was so excited to stay with her. Eon Ju was also very responsive and understanding in meeting our specific needs. I highly recommend her.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Honolulu commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
