“I can not say enough great things about Luis and Christine!! They truly love animals and could not have provided a more welcoming and loving environment for my dog. Christine baked homemade, nutritional treats specific for my dog :) Luis and Christine not only took my pup on several walks throughout the day, but took her on adventures throughout the island! They really are not your average sitter, but so much more! I hope to book again as they really are amazing people.”

“Taylor is an absolute godsend! As well as her husband Kevin. She takes care of Kahlo weekly when I go to work and I am able to relax knowing Kahlo is in the best hands. I went on my first trip recently and Kahlo stayed with Taylor and Kevin for several days. Being a new dog mom, meant I had overwhelming anxiety leaving on my first trip and was so worried about leaving my dog convinced she would have serious separation anxiety. Well, I was totally wrong. LOL. I am honestly not sure that Kahlo wanted to leave. She had the best time and enjoyed all the attention she was spoiled with during her stay. Taylor was so sweet and sent me so many updates and pictures throughout her stay. She even printed a keepsake of pictures from her stay that I now have in my home. I was able to relax and enjoy my time away. It has been a true blessing finding Taylor. She is kind, communicative, and treats your dog as her own. Thank you Taylor and Kevin for being so awesome ❤️! Truly Grateful.”

“Annie is absolutely great! Pancho loved her. She has taken care of him twice so far and he had the best time with her. She ensured he remains active, and she kept us updated with pics. She is very attentive and flexible with drop-off/pick-up times. We are definitely booking her again!”

“We are so grateful for the care Cora received during daycare. She’s a 1.5-year-old Aussie with lots of energy, and our sitter was incredible about keeping us updated throughout the day with photos and messages. Daisy was also so kind and accommodating, especially knowing we had just lost our senior dog. It meant more than she probably realized during a really emotional time for us. We felt completely at ease knowing Cora was in such loving hands. Highly recommend.”

“Cassie had the best time with Karinne and her new friends. Karinne was so nice and very responsible and responsive! Will definitely have her take care of Cassie when needed in the future.”

“This was our first time using Rover for dog daycare. As soon as we met them we felt relieved because they are very nice and trustworthy. Even though it was short stay this time, they sent a lot of pictures. Which really helped put us at ease. Before we tried daycare, we were a little worried because our dog is shy to other dog but their Golden retriever, Simba is very nice and friendly, too. We are sure this was good experience for our dog. We will use their daycare service again!”

“Saige had a great time with Courtney! We were given updates throughout the day from Courtney which was really nice and you can tell she’s a big dog person. Would 100% recommend.”

About: My pups are my heart and my life! 💖 They are the center of my world, and like many of us pet parents, I take care of my sweet babies better than I care for myself. My husband and I have had our little Marshmallow for 12 wonderful years and counting! For six amazing years, we also had our sweet CocoBear, whom we adopted as a senior with multiple health issues requiring special care. She has since crossed the rainbow bridge, but she is still loved, missed, and cherished by us every single day. Now that it’s just Marshmallow, she’d love some company! She’s super friendly and gets along very well with other doggies! 😊 Although I may be new to Rover, I’m definitely not new to caring for pets! I've been dog-sitting for over 12 years, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. In addition to dogs, I’ve had hamsters, rabbits, and birds throughout my life, and I’m also a very proud cat auntie! 🥰 I have very high standards when it comes to caring for my own babies, and I treat any pup in my care as if they were my own. I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave your baby with someone else, so making both you and your pup feel comfortable and at ease is incredibly important to me. I’ll make sure your baby feels safe, happy, loved, spoiled, and right at home! I also love sending pet parents lots of photos and videos because I know just how much you’ll be missing them. 💖 As a stay-at-home dog mom, I’m able to give your pup constant attention, companionship, cuddles, and care. I have tons of love to give, and I’d love to shower your baby with all the love and affection in my heart! An added bonus: my husband also has a very flexible schedule and is home much of the time, so that’s double the TLC! Your baby will be petted and pampered and treated like the precious gem that they are! 🥹 I take so much pride in providing the best care, and I can’t wait to treat your baby (or babies) to a fun vacation and a warm, loving home away from home while you’re away! 🥰 I am a stay at home dog mama, so your baby will have all my time and attention! Additionally, my husband has a flexible schedule, so that’s double the love your baby (or babies) will receive! 💕🐶 My husband, pup, and I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex. We have a lanai where we have fresh sod that dogs can use for going potty any time they need in addition to their daily walks! Dogs are allowed on our furniture and our bed - everywhere! I am very flexible and can adapt to whatever your dog’s needs are.
“Naudia was key in making our Oahu vacation a truly memorable one. We flew with our pups to Oahu to celebrate a cousin's birthday. Not only did we get to see the island with them, but we also got to do adult activities as they stayed with Naudia. She was very responsive & even gave Charlotte some pumpkin to help her upset tummy. Book with her - she will surely take care of your pups!”

“Aris took such great care of my little fur baby. She was very nurturing and so kind. She sent updates often and gave my baby all of her attention. I would definitely recommend! Thank you Aris for taking care of Sammie! She had so much fun with you! ❤️”

About: I've been around dogs all my life - my dad was a police dog trainer, so I learned first hand how to take great care of them. I have my own border collie named Jenna, she's 6 years old and loves other dogs. I work from home, so I am able to take your dog out frequently and give them lots of love and attention throughout the day. I live next to multiple dog parks and in a dog friendly building. I also have my own border collie who loves other animals so your pup can make a new friend. I am flexible, so if there's any specific requests you have I can most likely accommodate.

I'm currently working part time and only have classes two days a week, I have a lot of open availability to care for your pets! I live in an apartment so no yard available, but I live near dogs parks and have a long walking trail near me to take pups out.

Annie is absolutely great! Pancho loved her. She has taken care of him twice so far and he had the best time with her. She ensured he remains active, and she kept us updated with pics. She is very attentive and flexible with drop-off/pick-up times. We are definitely booking her again!

I needed someone to take care of my dog for just one day, and Alessandra was the answer. She was professional, friendly, and communicative from the very beginning. Throughout the day, she kept me updated, which gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was being well cared for. I highly recommend Alessandra to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and caring pet sitter. I would not hesitate to book with her again.

Maple was great, we’d definitely love for her to watch our pup Lovely again. Maple accepted our last-minute request, and responded quickly. Then, during Lovely’s day with Maple, Maple sent lots of updates, with pictures and videos. Lovely is shy around new people, but Maple was patient with her and let her take the lead on what she was comfortable with. For example, Lovely was shy to go in the house at first, so Maple set her up on a long-line on the deck and kept the door open so Lovely could go inside whenever she was ready. This was our first time using Rover, and we’re so grateful to have found Maple!

My dog, Shizuka, suffers from separation anxiety, which prevents me from leaving her alone for more than 10 to 15 minutes. So, when my wife and I had an event to attend, I found Camryn on Rover. I was still concerned that Shizuka might act out when left with a stranger, but she was great with Camryn. When I picked her up, Shizuka was very calm and appeared to be happy staying with her new friend.

Courtney is literally heaven sent! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She made it really easy from drop-off to pick up. She sent us pictures thru out the day while they went walking, to the beach, etc. She made us feel extremely comfortable and was very communicative. We couldn’t have asked for kinder more caring dog sitter. I can’t wait to book our next visit with her!

We are so thankful for Aaron and Ellie. They took great care of Aina and made her feel comfortable even though she was nervous at first. She settled in quickly and had a great time. I could tell she was happy and relaxed. Highly recommend them and will definitely book again❤️

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Honolulu commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
