“Keyshla has gone above and beyond for our fur babies! We are very thankful for the care she provides and we know our dogs are always safe when we drop them off to her. Thank you so much Keyshla!”

“Words cannot describe how incredible Kara and her husband are! I feel so confident leaving my koda bear with them and will definitely be rebooking. I had an emergency happen THE DAY before my flight and needed to extend the stay… they were so kind in helping me arrange this with such short notice… without them I would’ve had to skip my trip. They’ll send a lot of pictures and videos as well and keep you updated!”

“Eylul is so kind and attentive to our dog Benny! She communicates quickly and clearly and was very helpful. Most of the time when Benny stays somewhere he gets stressed and nervous, but not with Eylul - he was just happy and looked so comfortable. I will absolutely book with Eylul again!”

“Megan is absolutely amazing with Rick. We refer to her as Rick’s second family. He’s always so excited to go over. I can always count on Megan to be available, even in the last minute. She’s truly the best.”

“Tanya did an amazing job caring for our Jaylee, who has special needs. During our meet and greet, Tanya took the time to get to know Jaylee and understand her needs. She was gentle and caring and I could tell Jaylee felt comfortable with her. Jaylee was well taken care of and enjoyed her day with Tanya and her family, exploring in the large fenced yard and hanging out in the house. Tanya shared photos of Jaylee so I could be assured that she was doing well. I'm glad I found another great sitter for Jaylee and will be bringing her back for another day care appointment soon!”

“I have used a daycare service by Tracey three times so far. The place is always clean and safe environment. She also sends me some pictures to assure my dog is having a good time (and he does). We Love this dog sitter, Tracey.”

About: **Military Discount ** a lifetime of experience caring for dogs and cats, I know how to keep tails wagging and paws purring safe, happy, and just a little spoiled. Think of me as the fun aunt the one who sneaks extra treats, loves a good car ride, and never says no to the dog park. I’m basically the aunt your pets can’t wait to see! https://www.rover.com/sit/tiffaw18166 For $20 off with Rover. Available for Pet Care. Cats & Dogs Welcome! As a stay at home wife, I have plenty of time and love to give your furry friend. I’m currently available full time to watch your dog or cat, whether it’s for a few hours, overnight, or longer. Your pet will get plenty of cuddles, attention, and care while you’re away. Your pet deserves the safest hands, and that’s exactly what I provide. I focus on safety, comfort, and making sure your pet feels right at home. I don’t use kennels unless your dog chooses to relax in one. I keep them out with me so they get plenty of attention and companionship. I also make sure any errands are handled beforehand so they’re hardly ever left alone.
About: My main goal is to make sure every dog in my care feels happy and safe. I treat them like part of the family and do my best to make them feel comfortable and at home. I do Rover full-time, so your dog(s) will always have company. I keep it to just two dogs at a time so they get plenty of attention. I do not own any pets, so there will be no need for your pup(s) to get acquainted with other pets during their stay with me.
“Tyla took great care of my boys! She was very responsive & flexible with scheduling. Lovely neighborhood & beautiful home. My boys had a great time at her house & they came home ready for nap!!”

About: A retired marine biologist. I have had dogs my entire life. Raised puppies and watched them grow old. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and energy levels. Retired. I’m available most days if you need your pets to be simply fed, let out to pee, or to be entertained. While I take same day requests, there are no guarantees because I have several regularly scheduled walks and drop ins. Please reply promptly, I archive when no response in 24 hours. I have a fenced yard and a young corgi who has full run of the house. He can be shy to other dogs. If your dog has any aggressive tendencies or Keahi does not get along with them for whatever reason, we cannot board your dog. Meet and greets are mandatory before any boarding or daycare. Dogs must be house trained for boarding or daycare (paper trained is not house trained). I cannot and will not leave food out. If your dog has issues eating when they are fed (I feed them when I feed my dog), I have to take your dog’s food away and store it. This is a house, not a kennel where your dog has an assigned lot. If your dog has these feeding issues, consider another sitter. I have no kids on property.
“You can tell Niome has a heart for animals. Niome always makes Phoebe feel right at home. Phoebe has the best time playing with the other pups, and comes home exhausted from a full day of play.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Waipahu
Kara was so good with our ‘Oli. He was actually sad when my son left him because he has never stayed with someone he didn’t know. Kara was patient and took the time to just sit with him and make him feel better until he warmed up more. She sent pictures and videos often to keep us updated and also took him for a walk which he loves. I could see from a video that he was happy to meet her husband when he got home so that was great to see. I wish he would have played with her beautiful dog, but because he was a little out of it, he was having no interest in other dogs lol. Hopefully next time he will. I’m so glad to have found Kara and grateful that she was able to take ‘Oli on very short notice. If I need a sitter in the near future, which I’m sure I will, I will definitely use Kara again!

100% would recommend Joan for your pet sitting needs. She watched my almost 15 year old EllieMae who needs special attention and was very patient and attentive to her. I appreciated the pictures and updates she provided as I worried how everything would go. She put my worries to rest.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
