About: A retired marine biologist. I have had dogs my entire life. Raised puppies and watched them grow old. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and energy levels. Retired. I’m available most days if you need your pets to be simply fed, let out to pee, or to be entertained. While I take same day requests, there are no guarantees because I have several regularly scheduled walks and drop ins. Please reply promptly, I archive when no response in 24 hours. I have a fenced yard and a young corgi who has full run of the house. He can be shy to other dogs. If your dog has any aggressive tendencies or Keahi does not get along with them for whatever reason, we cannot board your dog. Meet and greets are mandatory before any boarding or daycare. Dogs must be house trained for boarding or daycare (paper trained is not house trained). I cannot and will not leave food out. If your dog has issues eating when they are fed (I feed them when I feed my dog), I have to take your dog’s food away and store it. This is a house, not a kennel where your dog has an assigned lot. If your dog has these feeding issues, consider another sitter. Same goes for finicky or difficult medical application. I have no kids on property.

Makayla was very patient with my Labrador puppy despite a hectic drop off. My puppy was anxiously barking, jumping & whining. Makayla did a great job comforting her, took her on several walks and to the dog park to play fetch. I know my puppy can be a handful, so I’m extremely grateful that doggy day care went so well! She truly went above and beyond—taking him everywhere with her and making sure he felt included, safe, and loved the entire time he was away from me. He also has a pretty intensive medication schedule, and she managed it perfectly, which gave me so much peace of mind.
