“Alika had a great time with Hailey and Ben. He came back panting with a smile and was lying down resting after they left. That’s what he needs a really good walk and to come back tired and happy.”

“I only have great things to say about joel! He's friendly, reliable (always on time, never late) and always looks out for QT! He's very caring and observant. If you want someone who's responsible and reliable, book Joel!”

“Aimee is professional and always shows up when she says she will. She's even willing to add a day if you need it. I've been very happy with the service and the communication. My dog likes her also. I couldn't do my job if it wasn't for the reliability Aimee provides.”

“Samantha is awesome! This is the second time working with her and we really appreciate her attention to detail and communication. It’s a great feeling knowing your pup is in really good hands.”

About: I’ve been taking care of my own pets since I was around 8 years old. I helped my senior dog when he couldn’t do things himself, as well as helped my relatives with their senior dogs. I’ve always been drawn to helping out animals, and not just dogs. I love all pets, no matter what size or age. I have patience and will take my time to make sure your pet is safe and well taken care of. I can do anything! Bathe, feed, walk, play, and more. I’m a fresh high school graduate. I’m going into college for veterinary technology so I can become a vet tech! Pet care will help me stay occupied while learning more on how to handle animals and prepare for my future. In my home/area, I will be able to feed, bathe, walk, and play with your pets in or outdoors. The same thing goes for my client’s house too, as well as making sure everything stays tidy while still giving your pet the care they need.
About: I have grown up with pets my whole life. From dogs, cats and horses. I’m experienced with senior dogs to puppies. Experienced with medication administration. Available for last minute drop ins to weekend sitting. Look forward to meeting your fur babies. I currently work a very flexible full time job. I work a day shift. My husband works graveyard. So someone will always be with your pet I live in a dog friendly apartment that is on the first floor so is ideal for senior dogs having hard time walking. I will ensure they are walked and feed when needed. If baths or medication is needed to be administered I am able to do this as well.
About: We have two very friendly dogs for your pets to play with here at our house! We have a fenced back yard and water available 24/7. I work a flexible shift Tuesday-Thursday and work close on base. I am able to be here for the pets most the time and also come home for lunch. I have water available 24/7 for our pets, I provide frequent bathroom breaks throughout the day, plenty of toys for all the dogs, and they’re allowed in furniture.

About: I have taken care of my 2 dogs for the past 10 years and I have taken care of my neighbors dogs many times. I have a very needy dog so I know when a dog needs to go for a walk or needs food. My only job is pet sitting so I am extremely available as long as I have time to go on hikes or walks around the city. I walk one of my two dogs 4-5 times a day and I walk my other dog only once or twice a day because she is very old but I feed both of them 3 times a day. I only gives them baths when they get stinky.

About: I have a dog of my own, Maya, but she currently lives in Puerto Rico, which means your pet will be the only dog in my home and will receive my full attention, care, and one-on-one love. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Over the years, friends and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and care for dogs and cats of different sizes, ages, and personalities. I’m very patient with shy or nervous pets, playful and engaging with energetic dogs, and gentle with seniors who need a slower pace. I’m attentive to routines and behavior changes, and I make sure every pet feels safe, calm, and loved while their family is away. Since I’m home most of the time, pets in my care receive lots of supervision, affection, and one-on-one attention. I adjust to each pet’s personality whether they need playtime, structured walks, or quiet cuddle time. What sets me apart is the calm, loving, and structured environment I provide. I don’t just “watch” pets I make sure they feel secure, comfortable, and part of the home. 💛 🐶🐱 I’m currently home full-time, which allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. Pet care easily fits into my daily routine, and animals are rarely left alone for long periods. I’m available on weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-in visits, and boarding. Because I’m home often, I can stick closely to feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise time, and any special routines your pet is used to. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Pets stay indoors in a clean, calm, and supervised environment. I follow feeding schedules carefully, keep fresh water available at all times, and make sure pets feel relaxed and secure. I create a cozy but structured space so pets can settle in without feeling overwhelmed. If needed, I can use crates, gates, or separate areas of the home for safety. I pay close attention to behavior and body language to ensure pets are comfortable and stress-free. I also send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every pet like my own. 🐾

About: PRIVATE 1-FAMILY-AT-A-TIME BOARDING FOR ADULTS DOGS WHO THRIVE WITH PERSONALIZED ATTENTION. Hi I’m Yesi, a lifelong animal lover, and Zeus is my gentle giant sidekick! I’ve been dog sitting independently for over a decade and started using Rover when I discovered it in 2022 to expand my network. Dog sitting gives Zeus and I the chance to enjoy temporary playmates, and it gives me the opportunity to care for other pets in the same way I hope someone would care for him. I love to travel, so I know firsthand how important it is to leave your dog with someone who genuinely pays attention to their routine, comfort, personality, and little quirks. When Zeus stays with someone, I want to know he’s getting real care and attention not just being another dog in the house and that’s exactly the experience I try to provide for my own furry guests. Because of that, I currently board only one dog at a time. This allows me to give each guest more individualized attention, go on walks, keep the environment calm, and make sure both they and Zeus are comfortable throughout the stay. In addition to dogs, I’ve cared for cats, raised bunnies and chickens, and even had a pet parrot, so I’m very comfortable with a variety of animals and personalities. While I welcome most breeds, I’m no longer able to board German Shepherds in my home due to previous compatibility issues with Zeus, or small male dogs that are prone to marking indoors. I’m still happy to care for them through drop-in visits or house sitting when appropriate. My priority is always maintaining a clean, calm, and safe environment for everyone. I also prefer to hold meet & greets at my home before new boarding bookings so we can make sure the dogs are compatible and you can see exactly where your companion will be staying. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members! 🐾 Zeus never misses his walks, so we usually start our mornings with one and wind down the evening with another. Your dog is welcome to join us! If they’re not much of a walker, that’s completely fine too. We have a fully fenced yard where they can potty, explore, and spend time outside at their own pace. My schedule is flexible, and since I work from home, I’m able to be home full-time when I have a dog staying with me. Over the years, I’ve come to really value a quieter, more personal boarding experience, so I now only accept one guest dog at a time. That allows me to focus on their individual routine, give them plenty of attention, and avoid juggling multiple households or a house full of dogs. I’m around throughout the day to keep an eye on them, let them out regularly, spend time with them, and stick as closely as possible to what they’re used to at home. I have a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, potty breaks, and play. Zeus, my Great Pyrenees, is used to sharing his space with other dogs. I can also accommodate crate-trained dogs or dogs who need quiet time away from the action. I keep the environment calm and structured so dogs have a chance to settle in instead of being overstimulated. I pay attention to each dog’s comfort level, behavior, and routine, and I never force interactions. My priority is keeping everyone safe and making sure your dog feels comfortable in my home.
About: I’ve always had multiple dogs growing up and once I got out of grad school, I decided to get a dog to call my own. But I tell everyone that she found me, not the other way around :) From walks, to dog parks, to hikes, and many more, I enjoy spending time with dogs and seeing them happily play with their friends (both new and old). I have experience caring for dogs who are sick or who may have some anxiety. With that, I’m big on taking photos of pets, so you’ll constantly receive updates from me. I work from home full time and am able to take fur friends out on walks throughout the day. My neighborhood is very dog friendly and there’s always a new dog on the block to make friends with. I recently lost my fur baby of 11 years. I work from home full time so I’m able to care for your pup depending on their needs and how often they need to walk/be outdoors. I still have three beds to choose from so your pup will also be able to choose from that selection.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Halawa
As always a dependable and stellar dogwalker experience. Our dog is older and doesn’t walk for the full time but Nessa always makes sure to make the most of the time by playing with our dog and looking for ways to enrich his mind. Our go-to sitter down in Pearl City!

Chelsie has been great. She is punctual, very detail oriented and her updates are on point. My dog had to wear cone for her recovery and Chelsie made sure to give her supervised freedom as we discussed on the walk and made sure the cone was secure when put back on

KaVina is absolutely wonderful with my high-energy young dog. From day one, it's been clear she genuinely loves dogs. And my pup adores her right back! Beyond her natural warmth with animals, KaVina is consistently professional and communicative, always receptive to feedback, and thoughtfully leaves detailed Rover cards after every walk. I couldn't ask for a better walker!

Simón loves Taysia so much. He gets so excited to see her and she is so sweet and a great person. He comes home exhausted and sleepy with a smile on his face. He’s 95lbs and high energy but she knows how to work with him well! She’s always my first choice for a walker.

Rebecca is awesome! She is our regular walker, walking our dog twice a week. She goes above and beyond from what we expect. Rebecca always keeps us in the know when it comes to our girl. We completely trust Rebecca and know that our dog is safe, happy, and prioritized on her walks. Although we are currently taking obedience training lessons with our own personal trainer, our putty mix can still be dog reactive to certain dogs. We appreciate the extra effort Rebecca puts into Pili’s walks by also working on her training. We love her and highly recommend using her services!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
