Dog Walking • Aug 30, 2026

I have used Mr. Joel services for the past two weeks. And what a stress relief he has bought me in walking my 7 years old chocolate lab. He’s always on time and communicates any possible issues. Furthermore, on every walk he post a picture of coco and always looks happy. Highly recommend Mr. Joel services.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced yard and a young corgi who has full run of the house. He can be shy to other dogs. If your dog has any aggressive tendencies or Keahi does not get along with them for whatever reason, we cannot board your dog. Meet and greets are mandatory before any boarding or daycare. Dogs must be house trained for boarding or daycare (paper trained is not house trained). I cannot and will not leave food out. If your dog has issues eating when they are fed (I feed them when I feed my dog), I have to take your dog’s food away and store it. This is a house, not a kennel where your dog has an assigned lot. If your dog has these feeding issues, consider another sitter. Same goes for finicky or difficult medical application. I have no kids on property.

Pets

A typical day

It depends on your dog’s energy, age, and temperament. I generally read dogs on how fast and how far they want to walk but I appreciate any insights from you. You know them better than I do. It also depends on the time of day. If it is hot or they want to sniff more that day, we may not cover typical distances. For no extra charge, I can bring my corgi as a play friend to run around with. Although he doesn’t get along with every dog.

How long (time) do they normally walk? How far do they normally walk? Are there any recurring injuries I need to be aware of? How are they on leash and what (if any) are they potentially reactive towards? Are their collars secure and will not slip off? How good are they on recall? If I cannot control your dog’s reactivity or guarantee their safety, I will not walk them. Are there any house manners issues I need to be aware of?
