Lauren is attentive to detail, understanding of different dogs, their needs/boundaries, super patient, and a dog whisperer! She is able to execute little details that help make our pup comfy and warm at their home. Lauren has also dealt with our pup starting her first cycle while we were away! She was soooooo patient to help our pup be safe and clean during her stay and managed to make it work even though our pup did not like diapers! Lauren sent so many updates throughout the stay that made us feel so happy that our pup was enjoying and having the time of her life! We can’t forget to mention their wonderful family of boys that also play with our pup and teach her new tricks. They are so loving and respectful of the dogs! About: I’ve been the primary caretaker for my dog for the past 7 years, handling everything from daily walks and feedings to baths and medication. I walk him at least four times a day and try to get in a longer mile-ish walk a few times a week so he can explore at his own pace. I’ve also cared for several friends’ dogs for multi-day stays ranging from a couple of days to over a week. Between that and growing up around pets, I’m very comfortable reading a dog’s personality and routine. My wife has lived with dogs her whole life as well, so our home is very dog friendly. Dogs are welcome on the couch and our own dog sleeps in bed with us. I’ve also done a fair bit of basic training with him. I taught him “wait” (stay), helped him get comfortable with paw cleaning after walks, and even set up a little “dog nest” on the bed that he now uses as his sleeping spot. I’m attentive to routines, meds, and the little details that make pets feel comfortable. I work from home, so pet care fits very naturally into my day. I’m around most of the time and able to give dogs attention, bathroom breaks, and supervision throughout the day. Our normal routine is a morning outing, one in the afternoon, another around 5–6pm, and a final one around 9pm before bed. If a dog needs to go out sooner or starts pawing at the door, I’m always happy to take them out. I try to fit in longer walks when the weather and work schedule allow, usually in the evenings. Because I’m home during the day, pets aren’t left alone for long stretches and get plenty of interaction. I work from home and have a wrap-around fenced yard, so dogs have plenty of safe space to wander and get fresh air. I keep a close eye on them when they’re outside and follow their normal routines as closely as possible. Inside, dogs are welcome to relax and make themselves comfortable. Our home is very dog friendly, and we’re used to having pets around. If a dog needs to be crated for sleeping or while we step out briefly, we do have a crate available. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, medications, and any specific instructions from owners. I’m also happy to send photos or videos throughout the stay so you can see how your pet is doing.

I worked 3 years emergency veterinary medicine and 2 years as a vet tech so I know what to look out for and can also provide special needs if your pet requires it. I have experience in training dogs also, so I can keep up with whatever your training plan is if your pup is still in training! I make healthy homemade training treats so I will share those and make them feel spoiled. If your dog is up for it, I would love to take them to hang out with friends' dogs, hiking, running, or some beach fun. It is best to keep a dog on a similar schedule that they are used to so please let me know what your dog's routine usually is. Please let me know if your dog is or isn't friendly with other dogs. I am home all day so will be with your pup the entire duration of the stay. Any nuances in schedule will be reflected on the calendar. About: I’ve taken care of a handful of dogs before and every experience I’ve had was nothing short of amazing. I hope to have the privilege to experience more of that. I’m currently unemployed and hoping to make a little money so fitting your babies into my schedule is no problem at all as I'm only doing school now. I currently only have Guinea pigs and cats in my home, we have had dogs before but not anymore. I would say the care I give my animals goes above and beyond, I absolutely adore my babies so nothing is too much for them. I feed, play and clean up after them every single day and I really do enjoy all of it. Animals are absolutely my passion and i hope to pursue something long term involving them and so it is my absolute pleasure to watch over your babies because they get me one step closer to being able to do that. About: I’ve had my own pets since I was young. I have a turtle and a cat but unfortunately, I just lost my second family dog of old age and my first due to cancer. I also walk everyday so it would be nice to have a companion! In my home now, it would be easy to care for a smaller dog since I live in a condo but I live right on the canal with a very lengthy path for walking pets!
