“Thank you Senne! Senne was very kind and also sent photos and updates of our pup so we knew our pup she was well taken care of. I would recommend Senne for dogsitting and consider having our pup stay with her again while we are away. Again, thank you Senne!”

“Camille was great with Stella! I really appreciate how easy the whole process was with her. Great communication and provided pictures daily to keep us updated with Stella. Definitely would trust her to watch Stella again.”

About: I had dogs since I was very young. As a child, I wanted to grow up to become a vet, but I realized I'm allergic to cats, and some dogs. Even with allergies I'll still watch them because I love them and that's what allergy pills are for 😆. Care taking animals at home is one of my dream jobs, and I'm very lucky to be able to have a safe space for my furry friends to hang out at. I've been fostering with Paws of Hawaii for almost 3 years. I love being able to help provide a home to those in need, and it's so much fun seeing all the different personalities. I just love being surrounded by dogs. I like to train simple and fun tricks with them! My house basically became a doggy day care with fosters and dog sitting my friends furbabies! I'm currently working part time for music and acting so I have a lot of time. I spend most days hanging out with my dog, a foster, and sometimes my friends dog when I get asked to dogsit. I have a fenced yard, 1 dog of my own, and usually 1 foster or 2 fosters. We hang out multiple times a day out in the yard, to play and relax. They are allowed to roam around the house, I'm very attentive. I also have a crate for when I need to leave the house. All dogs are crate trained, and fed in the crate at my house. I change out the water frequently and give them filtered water.
“Selena was great! Poppy is very afraid of new people but Selena was very patient and let Poppy warm up to her. We were able to travel feeling that Poppy was in good hands!”

“Jackie took great care of our pup! She sent consistent updates and was very communicative. Our dog has some nervousness in new situations and Jackie made sure he was calm and comfortable. It’s always hard to be away from your dog, but Jackie made it as easy as possible.”

“Catalina was an amazing pet sitter for my dog klaus. kept me updated everyday and sent me pictures of him. i would give her a 10/5 star review if i could! thank you so much Catalina, and i will choose your services 10/10 times! Mahalo👍”

“James was absolutely awesome! This was our first time using Rover and what a great experience with James. From our first meet with him and our dog, James was kind and gracious. Our dog I almost didn't want to come back with us! Thank you James for everything and hope to see you again!”

“This was our first time using Rover and Keala made our experience such a positive one! We did an initial meeting with our dogs to make sure they got along. She’s very accommodating with drop off and pickup. She sends pictures and gave our doggies much needed attention. We’re so happy we found her!”

“This was the first time we left Kuma with a sitter. Sis was wonderful!! She sent us photos and frequent updates to reassure us that Kuma was doing fine. We really appreciate her great care!”

“KaVina was ABSOLUTELY amazing with my l lil man (Deuce). She kept the pics & videos coming. You could see the joy in my dogs eyes in the pictures & videos, I feel like my guy was truly able to live like he was at home. She took him for walks & played tug of war with him & kept him happy. I would definitely use her services again because she made him feel at home.”

“Great pawsitters! My furbabies had an excellent time with them and their furbabies. The daily updates with lots of photos gave me peace of mind that my doggies were in good hands while I was away. I am happy to have found a new sitter and will be booking with them the next time I go out of town.”

“Joel is THE BEST! He is so kind, and I felt very comfortable leaving our pup with him. Everything worked out great. Will definitely have him care for our Maya again!”

“Diana was amazing! She kept us updated on our dogs activities during their stay with her and her family. It's very obvious that she loves animals. We highly recommend her and would definitely use her again.”

“Miki was amazing! She took Kona hiking, to the beach, and sent videos and photos every day. He was a very happy and tired dog on pickup, which we love! 5 stars and we’ll definitely ask Miki to take care of Kona again. Thanks, Miki!!”
“Abigail and her family took wonderful care of our dog, Yuzu, while we were away for two weeks. Daily photos including trips to the beach and the park put our minds at ease, and we would definitely have Yuzu stay with her family again in the future!”

About: Throughout college I cared for many dogs for family, friends, and as a side gig. I am experienced in dog walking, feeding, oral medication administration, and light grooming. I always enjoy sending pictures of your pet to show what a great time we are having! As a stay at home mom, I have great flexibility. I would also like to share that I have two friendly dogs that are kennel and potty trained in our home and a two year old daughter. I am currently a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to walk dogs and do light care during the day. As for overnight care, we have two dogs that love pet friends as long as they are friendly and get along with others. We typically go to an on-leash park in the evenings and do outings on weekend mornings. We have two small, friendly dogs and a toddler that will keep your dog more than entertained! We have a small outdoor area for on-leash play and are a three minute drive to a big park/field where we have a good dog community. We want your dog to feel comfortable and happy during their stay so the first 24 hours is just about learning about your dog and gaining their trust!

“Aralie is fantastic! I will certainly use her again if I need help with my four legged babies again. She communicated with me everyday. Sent pictures of them enjoying the beach and yard and playing fetch and snuggles all together. We had flight delays with the dogs flight and she offered to help with extended accommodation before I even knew I needed her extra help. Our move was EXTRA crazy for some many unexpected reasons, and having her take care of my pups until we could get their flights (that kept getting canceled) straightened out was a life saver. She was GREAT! Thank you thank you Aralie!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kailua
Jess (and family) were absolutely fantastic with our pup while we were off island for nearly 3 weeks! Jess was wonderful with communication and provided updates as well as pictures and videos every single day. They spoiled our pup as if he was their own, and even took extra care on the 4th of July to ensure he wasn't too anxious. He was happy and energized when we picked him up! I can't recommend Jess enough!

We had a great experience! She took wonderful care of Bear while we were away and kept us updated with messages and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was attentive, communicative, and genuinely cared about making sure he was comfortable. Even with him being a little shy at first, she was patient and helped him settle in. We came home to a happy pup, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!

Koa always has a wonderful time with Jacque. He is always so happy and relaxed when we pick him up. He loves time with other dogs and any chance to cuddle and he gets lots of love and attention at her house. He has stayed with her several times in the past year and we always have a great experience and great communication! Thank you so much!

Halina was so friendly, professional, and competent. We were having repairs done to our home and told our cat Pearl could remain, and then without warning we needed to find somewhere else for her to go. It was extremely stressful, and we’re so very greatful that Halina responded and was able to care for Pearl. She offered updates/videos as often as we wanted (we’d asked for once a day) and were kept informed. I can tell Pearl got the loving care she needed, and the home was set up nicely with the space and toys, including a nice window perch which she loved. Everything went so smoothly and relieved the stress of knowing our pet was well cared for! Highly recommend, and thanks again!

Our Duke had a blast at Tara’s! He was very nervous at first as he has separation anxiety in new places. Tara made him feel safe and at home right away. She gave daily updates along with super cute photos. We will definitely be using Tara in the future. She was the best sitter we have had!

We booked with Khaled on somewhat short notice and also extended our trip a few days. He was responsive, flexible and accommodating from the start. For two and a half weeks Khaled provided frequent and consistent updates, sending multiple pictures and videos every day. We never had to wonder, let alone worry, about what our Cooper was up to. Cooper had a great time running and playing in their yard and cuddling and snoozing in their laps. We greatly appreciated Khaled’s care for Cooper as well as his communication with us!

Melissa was terrific and super accommodating. This was a last minute booking on a holiday weekend and she still made the time to do a meet and greet and was very flexible with pick up and drop off times. Melissa sent pictures and was very communicative through the whole stay. I appreciate her and her family for their care of Elle!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
