About: 45 Years of Loving Dog Care 🐾 Aloha! My name is Verna, and I bring 45 years of experience caring for dogs, along with a lifetime of love for them. Although I’m new to Rover, caring for dogs has been an important part of my life for decades. I specialize in dachshunds and small-breed dogs weighing 15 pounds or less, and I have a special place in my heart for senior pets. I have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs living with intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), congestive heart failure, canine cognitive dysfunction (canine dementia), and vestibular disease. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, gentle handling, consistent routines, and paying close attention to each dog’s comfort and changing needs. I understand that every dog has their own personality and pace. Whether your little one enjoys playtime, gentle companionship, or a cozy place to rest, I’ll take the time to learn what helps them feel comfortable and loved. Following your care instructions and veterinarian’s guidance is a priority for me, along with keeping you updated through photos and messages. I work in an emergency room, and my husband and I coordinate our schedules so someone is always home to provide loving care for your pet. Your little one will have companionship, attention, and a consistent routine. We’ll follow their usual feeding, potty, and rest schedules to help them feel comfortable and at home. Our home offers a loving environment with a fenced yard for supervised outdoor time and potty breaks. With my experience caring for dachshunds, small dogs, and seniors, I’m attentive to gentle handling, mobility needs, and each pet’s comfort. I follow your care instructions and familiar routines, taking time to learn about your dog’s needs and preferences.

She even assisted in finding out what was upsetting my dog’s stomach and was able to figure out that he can’t have beef (I know, the weirdest thing with a dog lol) She tried him out on the dog food she had there and his body reacted very well to it. About: Throughout college I cared for many dogs for family, friends, and as a side gig. I am experienced in dog walking, feeding, oral medication administration, and light grooming. I always enjoy sending pictures of your pet to show what a great time we are having! As a stay at home mom, I have great flexibility. I would also like to share that I have two friendly dogs that are kennel and potty trained in our home and a two year old daughter. I am currently a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to walk dogs and do light care during the day. As for overnight care, we have two dogs that love pet friends as long as they are friendly and get along with others. We typically go to an on-leash park in the evenings and do outings on weekend mornings. We have two small, friendly dogs and a toddler that will keep your dog more than entertained! We have a small outdoor area for on-leash play and are a three minute drive to a big park/field where we have a good dog community. We want your dog to feel comfortable and happy during their stay so the first 24 hours is just about learning about your dog and gaining their trust!

About: Just a dog owner who loves all the doggies and only wants the best for them. I have sent both my large dogs to a month long professional training facility and have learned how to train and maintain training of my dogs from professional handlers. I have a good sense of dog psychology and have rehabbed many fosters (>30+) to be able to be adopted. I am able to care for all dog types and needs, however, I will only consider active and independent dogs for boarding. The extra care required for young (<6mo) or aging dogs is not conducive to caring for the amount of dogs I watch at any given time. I am retired and stay at home FT working my business of Doggie Day Care while watching my own dogs and fosters. At the most, the dog will be alone for 2 hours once a week while I complete errands like shopping and/or appointments. Some Fridays, I am away for more than 5 hours, however, they will be left in an isolated secured yard with 7’ fences. What a day would look like is dogs get up when I wake up. Then hang out in the house or the yard until outside morning chores are completed. From 8:00 am to 11:00 am, we will have play time at the dog park for up to 2 hours. From 11:00 am to 3:00 pm we move into the house to either nap, watch tv or do inside chores. From 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm is dinner. From 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm is outside play at the park again. From 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm is indoor recreation and hanging out with hoomans. Finally, bed time from 10:00 pm till 8:00 am. I abide by owners’ requests for specific care of the dog. Owner is welcome to inspect the location where the dog will play and sleep. Dogs are free to roam off leash 24/7 with access to grassed yard for play or bathroom. There is no kenneling unless specified by owner or use during sleeping hours (Based solely on my discretion for the boarded dog's safety and/or my dogs’ safety).

She respected the dogs boundaries, followed their queues and they quickly became family to them. Received so many pictures and videos to put our minds at ease. Could not recommend them anymore!!”
