“We had a great experience leaving Luna with Jacque and her family! She is very experienced. She also sent photos and videos of our Luna daily! Luna was comfortable staying there for sure. We will definitely recommend Jacque to family and friends to watch their fur babies.”

“Paige and her husband did a great job making sure my very shy cat was comfortable during the week I was gone. She was very responsive in updating me when I asked about my cat. 👍👍👍”

“Scarlett had a great time & did not want to leave her! She was able to adjust her schedule with short notice and would send photos periodically as an update ! Definitely a repeat customer here ! Thanks again !”

“Angela was a life saver, she agreed to take in my dog Tank for a couple of weeks on short notice. We did a meet and greet and Tank was cool and comfortable at her place. She sent pictures and let me know how he was doing. Taking him on walks and just keeping him busy. So, if you need a sitter, give her a call. (Probably best to get in touch with her sooner than later.) lol Thanks again, Angela.”

“Kyrie and her family were amazing with our little frenchie. Super good with communication. Pictures and videos sent and always quickly replied to texts. He loved the yard to run around in. Highly recommend. Would trust her with any dog anytime.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Maluhia, She took care of my dog, Teddy, for a full week and made the entire experience completely stress-free. From the start, she made both Teddy and me feel comfortable and at ease about being away from each other. She consistently sent photos and updates, which meant so much to me while I was out of town. It was clear from every message that Teddy was happy, well cared for, and getting plenty of love and attention. She also made sure he got regular walks his favorite! and kept his routine consistent. Most importantly, Teddy absolutely loves her, and that says everything. Knowing he was in such caring and capable hands gave me total peace of mind. She truly went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again. Highly recommend!”

“We had a great experience with Karsyn and her husband! We have an elderly dog and I'm typically very wary about leaving her with anyone, but I never had any worries during her stay. They sent regular photos and updates, and it was clear our dog was happy and well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again!”

“KaVina was ABSOLUTELY amazing with my l lil man (Deuce). She kept the pics & videos coming. You could see the joy in my dogs eyes in the pictures & videos, I feel like my guy was truly able to live like he was at home. She took him for walks & played tug of war with him & kept him happy. Lily was great and was very conscientious with Red. When I got home after a pretty long trip Red looked amazing and Lily had grown very fond of him. I would definitely trust her again to watch him and he’s a large German shepherd so not necessarily the easiest breed to handle. She did great

Nova was absolutely amazing watching my Husky pup! She sent daily pictures and updates, and even took him to my Vet when he needed to be seen! They took Koda on so many adventures and he was definitely well cared for during an extended stay. 100% recommend Nova for watching your pups for any duration! Will go out of her way to make sure your pup is loved and cared for as on of their own

Lexi was SO sweet!! It was my first rover, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Lexi made me feel at ease the whole time. My pup was a bit nervous with her dogs at first, but she took extra care to go for walks with them together and spend extra time with my dog apart from the other two to help make her more comfortable. I also got some super cute picture updates which helped ease my mind too. When I came to pick up my pup the next day, she seemed like she almost didn’t want to leave, going up to give Lexi some extra petting time. Would absolutely use her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
