“I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Camille. She was the sweetest person ever. She took such great care of Ziggy. She sent multiple daily updates and pictures letting us know how our baby was doing. It was clear Ziggy was family his entire stay. 100% recommend. Thank you so much.”

“Joel was great with my mini Australian shepherd! He sent lots of photos that gave us peace of mind that our dog was doing great and was so well cared for! 😊 Thanks Joel!”

About: I recently lost my senior babie due to old age. I'm wanting to fill that spot by helping others with their fur babies. I have no other animals at home. I'm good with large dogs. My babie was dog adverse so very good with dogs who need a little extra patience on walks, etc... I've sat small and medium dogs. I've sat several cats. I can issue meds as needed. Well rounded in senior care. Looking to love and care for those that don't want to be boarded or are most comfy at home. I work full time 7-4pm. I can visits prior and after work. If you're close enough to down town, I may be able to coordinate a lunch check up. I'm free in the evenings from 430pm. I am now a pet free home. I have a small yard at my apartment that has gates on either side. I have an easy walking neighborhood with lots of potty spots. I've walked large dogs, little dogs, and medium dogs. I've not walked a cat yet, but willing to try! I will care for your pet as if it is mine. My apartment has inside cameras for viewing when I'm at work. Please reach out with any questions at all.
“Kevin had a great stay! Charisse was kind, reliable, and kept us updated every day with photos and messages, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear Kevin was happy and well cared for. Highly recommend her and would definitely book again! 🐾”

About: I petsit frequently for family, friends and neighbors for weeks at a time in my home and their homes. I have years of experience around all kinds of different animals. I understand different personalities in pets and can work around them. I stay at home with my two kids, who love animals. My schedule is always open so I am able to follow a unique routine. I have a large fenced in yard with plenty of toys, energetic kids and two cats. One cat likes to play outside while the other stays inside. I have rooms set up in my home for animals who prefer to be by themselves.
“Aloha, Katherine and Daniel did a wonderful job taking of my fur baby kingsly. This was my first time using Rover and found them. Send your fur baby to them they will care for them like their own. I definitely will use them again.”

“Summer took wonderful care of our little Frenchie, Domina. Our Frenchie is of the anxious type, and Summer was able to make Domina as comfortable as possible while her owners were away. Summer was reliable and flexible when our travel plans were changed unexpectedly after a winter storm. She was responsive and really caring. She left a very thoughtful note regarding her experience with Domina, which we really appreciated and reflected her best interests in the care of Domina!”

About: Throughout college I cared for many dogs for family, friends, and as a side gig. I am experienced in dog walking, feeding, oral medication administration, and light grooming. I always enjoy sending pictures of your pet to show what a great time we are having! As a stay at home mom, I have great flexibility. I would also like to share that I have two friendly dogs that are kennel and potty trained in our home and a two year old daughter. I am currently a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to walk dogs and do light care during the day. As for overnight care, we have two dogs that love pet friends as long as they are friendly and get along with others. We typically go to an on-leash park in the evenings and do outings on weekend mornings. We have two small, friendly dogs and a toddler that will keep your dog more than entertained! We have a small outdoor area for on-leash play and are a three minute drive to a big park/field where we have a good dog community. We want your dog to feel comfortable and happy during their stay so the first 24 hours is just about learning about your dog and gaining their trust!

“Makayla was absolutely awesome. Took our two cats last minute and took great care of them, gave them treats and the care they needed. Went above and beyond to make sure our family and our cats got what they needed, would do it again!”

“Selena was amazing! I had to leave my puppy with her for 11 nights. I anticipated being worried about her the whole time I was gone but Selena took such great care of her I was able to enjoy my time away worry free.”

“Our fur baby had an adventurous stay with McKenley with her pug cause they went on a hike and walks not all sitters do that. We are greatful that we chose her to watch after our fur baby. Thank you!”

“So appreciative of Halina watching my cat Johnnie while I traveled. She put me at so much ease with it being my first long trip away from the island and made me feel like Johnnie would be loved and safe while gone, which she 110% was. Communication was super fast and always helpful and informative and Johnnie was always in good spirits in videos. I will certainly be booking again with her 😊”

“AnnMarie gets 10 stars!!! AnnMarie was the perfect person to watch my sweet boy. We are always a little hesitant to leave him with someone new but Tatsu loved her at first site! AnnMarie welcomed him with big arms and gave him a lot of attention and she sent me pictures!!! When I went to pick him up, he was happy to set me but didn't seem to want to go home. He really enjoyed his overnight play time with his new friends. We'll definitely be booking AnnMarie again!”
About: I have experience caring for German Shepherds and mixed breed dogs, including high energy pups like my own dog, Atlas. I’m comfortable working with active dogs that enjoy playtime, long walks, and staying mentally and physically engaged. I’m very consistent with routines and make sure pets are fed on time, taken out for scheduled potty breaks, and given plenty of attention throughout the day. I also have experience administering oral medications and always follow instructions carefully to ensure pets stay healthy and comfortable. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well being are always my top priority, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m currently not working, so I’m home most of the day and have a very flexible schedule. Aside from brief outings like the gym or grocery runs, I’m able to provide consistent care, timely feedings, potty breaks, walks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Due to my schedule, I’m able to stick closely to feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special care needs throughout the day. Because I’m home often, pets are rarely left alone and get consistent supervision, companionship, and routine.
“Our dog, Panda, immediately felt at home under the care of Maddy. We were so happy to see Panda fit right in to her family. Maddy even provided updates and videos/pictures of our dog throughout her stay. Would definitely recommend Maddy to anyone looking for a trusted sitter for their dog. Thank you, Maddy! Until next time.”

“My dog did very well on his first 4-hour daycare with Christine 3 months ago. This time, it is overnight stay. I was worried, felt uneasy, then came updates. She sent photos of my dog cuddling to his son, even slept in their bedroom (just like home). She even hand-fed my dog and offered other dog food when my dog refused his food. The whole family took care of my small Pom like their own. She is really true to her word, "care for them like they’re my own."”

“Kyrie is wonderful!! Such a warm and caring soul, and she took excellent care of our pup Rosie. We loved the pics and videos she sent that showed Rosie safe, happy and comfortable in Kyrie's home from day 1. ❤️”

Naudia is amazing!!!! She has helped me out with last minute bookings multiple times and is always very accommodating but best of all Pongo LOVES staying with her!! She sends daily updates with lots of photos of their fun-filled days. Pongo always comes home exhausted, I never worry about him not getting enough stimulation or exercise with her! He is always super excited to go stay with her and he loves playing with her dog and his other friends he’s made at the dog park. I can’t say enough good things about Naudia! She is great and I always know Pongo is well cared for with her!! We are blessed to have found such a great sitter for him in Honolulu!! Highly recommend!
Maple was wonderful with Kem and Boba. IIt was both of their first time boarding, and Boba was especially anxious at first. Maple was so patient and understanding with her and gave her the time she needed to feel comfortable. I really appreciated how much time she spent with them outside, taking them on walks, playing fetch, and making sure they got plenty of attention. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were being well cared for. We’d definitely book with Maple again! ❤️🐾

Thamara was an incredible sitter. She not only did everything that a pet sitter should do, she went so far beyond it, I will always remember and hold her in such high esteem for all that she did. You are the best sitter I have encountered to date. Thank you for everything you did.
Cassie and Merit were incredible. I boarded my dog with them while we were in the midst of moving off island. I had to handle our move alone with my 2 small children while my husband was deployed. It was such a relief knowing our dog was in good hands. Cassie even coordinated with our pet movers to have our dog picked up from her house to be taken to the airport. It was a high stress situation that required a lot of preparation/coordination and Cassie really came through for me. Cassie and merit are very professional and truly seem like they just love dogs.
Claudia is the absolute best! I’m not a huge paragraph writer so I’ll give bullets. - Phenomenal Communication - Pictures a-plenty - She has a very thoughtful and gentle method to introduce new cats to her home - Very loving and attentive caregiver, I would trust her with any of my pets - Her star rating and rave reviews are well deserved - I will not hesitate to reach out to her again to take care of my boy Thank you so much, Claudia!

Khai was the best. She took excellent care of Moomin and went above and beyond consistently. She was flexible with pickup/drop off, and made sure Moomin was well taken care of. We’d recommend her to anyone. She gave us consistent updates and treated Moomin as her own.

Daisy continues to be the absolutely best sitter, going above and beyond in everything. We had some mishaps and delays in our travel schedule and Daisy was so flexible and accommodating. She regularly sent updates, photos, and videos every day. Luna can be shy and overstimulated in unfamiliar situations but Daisy clearly takes incredibly good care of her, making sure she is comfortable, healthy, and extremely loved. Luna is truly treated like a princess and any dog parent knows this takes time, attention, experience, and love. Thank you Daisy!!

Wow! Beth is literally the perfect match for our active pup! Una is 8 years old but full of energy. Beth took her on a 6-mile run every morning and played fetch with Una to her heart's content. We wish Beth lived on the island full-time so we could have Una stay with her more often!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
