About: I grew up with Great Pyrenees, Great Pyrenees/Border Collie, Australian Shepards mixes. I've walked, fed, brushed and played with these big dogs for more than a decade. The two Great Pyrenees sisters I currently help take care of have matured from 4 month old puppies to elderly ladies. I'm quite used to the typical arm jerk or pull that is often associated with walking big, enthusiastic dogs. I work during the day, but generally am up quite early and thus would be able to walk dog(s) before work. I am also quite flexible in terms of where I stay on Oahu and thus can easily incorporate dog sitting into my weekly routine. Alternatively, I have cared for large breeds in their owners homes in San Diego. I am extremely respectful of folks homes and belongings both in the context of pet care, as well as through AirBnB.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 6 1/2 or 7 years old, animals always gravitate towards me! I took care of my English bulldog whom I grew up with until I was 14 years old, aswell as caring for any lovely pets big to small in my neighborhood from the age of 10. From senior care to newborns I’ve been pet sitting for a long while. Just because most dogs are bigger than me doesn’t mean I won’t tackle them so they get a proper brushing or a nice bath! Since I’m currently unemployed my schedule is extremely flexible I'm available most weekdays after 9am. Weekend availability varies and will have to be discussed 1o1 I work extremely diligently with written rules and verbal explanations as well, I adjust to you and your pets needs and act accordingly. Im attentive and your satisfaction along with your pets health is my number one priority. I try to form bonds with any and all animals I will be spending time with whether it’s an hour or 2 days. “I am very appreciative that Karen was able to take over for another sitter. She was at a disadvantage because we did not get to meet before the stay started. So, she missed out on the intricate details of each dog and their behavior. But, she was caring and professional and did what was required. Also left the house so clean and even vacuumed! “Mike is AMAZING! We booked him to stay at our house with our 2 dogs. Regarding our dogs: One of our dogs is a rescue and can be overly anxious which causes him to be aggressive. In our intro meeting, our rescue dog was being problematic. However, Mike has worked with dogs like him and luckily, my dog's temper tantrums didn't deter him from watching my dogs. During his stay, my dog quickly warmed up to Mike and are now great friends. It speaks volumes to Mike's patience and experience with trouble dogs. Regarding the House Sitting: I don't think necessarily was part of the job description but I do have an older house that unfortunately decided to throw Mike some curve balls during his time watching my dogs. The wind took a window off its hinges and shattered glass all over and my refrigerator sprung a leak. Lucky again for us that Mike is very level headed, communicated the problems to us, and found solutions quickly to remedy the situation. We came back to the window mess being cleaned up, the fridge in working order, and towels used laundered and folded. Overall, I'm incredibly thankful for Mike and will certainly book him again the next time we're out of town.”
