“Bryanna was amazing with our large black lab. We really appreciated her help with drop in visits and I highly recommend reaching out to her if she is available.”

“We have had Katie drop in a few different times now and we absolutely adore her, as does our lil fur baby. She's reliable, responsible, quick to get back to requests, and this time in particular she was able to take care of our dog last minute. We are so grateful! We know you and Kanoa love each other which is so precious.”

About: I have taken care of and had dogs my whole life! I had four dogs growing up as a kid that I watched while my parents went away, and now I have a fur baby of my own! I am a school psychologist by day :) Looking for something to on weekends on this beautiful island! Happy to take your dog out for weekend walks As the mom of an anxious pup, I am familiar with how to care for, leave, and greet your pup! I am familiar with crating dogs before leaving, sneaking out, or just saying goodbye!
“Alice took such good care of our babies. Was always communicative and asked a lot of clarifying questions. The pics we got every day was a huge comfort along with her detailed notes on how the day went for each of our 3 wildly differently aged and personality cats (3F, 6M, and 11F). Even when she had to navigate a moody personality (11F), she worked out solutions in ways that you can tell she has a kind and gentle heart who cares deeply for animals. She also stayed in communications even when we had trouble getting signal while away. She even went above and beyond on some of our instructions, to include taking out the trash at the end of her visit (thank you! you didn’t have to do that). Her personal touch of leaving us behind treats, polaroid pics, and a cute letter was very nice and brought even more warmth and comfort to us when we got home. Thank you Alice for taking care of our babies. We never had to worry about their well-being and we found them happy and content when we got home from our 2-week vacation. We would def hire her again.”
“Gabriela was amazing with our three animals. She was always detailed with her updates to us. The animals didn’t miss us much since Gabriela was checking on them twice a day and giving them all lots of attention. She also took care of all our fish, plants, etc. without being asked. Would definitely hire her again!”

About: I've always loved animals and have experience caring for both cats and dogs as an owner myself. I'm comfortable with daily walks, feeding, refreshing water, cleaning up after pets, administering lots of attention and playtime, and fulfilling the needs that work best for you and your pet. I value consistency, reliability, and patience, and I’ll treat your pet with the same care and affection that I’d want for my own. While home from college, I have lots of free time and flexibility in my schedule to best accommodate for your needs. I am active, easygoing, and happy to preform house visits or walks during the day or evening, on weekdays and weekends. Whether for consistent walks/visits or short-notice care, I am available and flexible. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. “Lillian was amazing! Our two dogs were so well cared for and loved. She was thoughtful with updates and pictures, so we always knew how our dogs were each visit. She was also prompt with any communications, so we never had one moment of worry during our trip. I wish I had found her earlier. Thanks so much Lillian!”

About: Lifelong dog lover with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, including large breeds. I recently lost a beloved family dog in Japan, which deepened my appreciation for the importance of compassionate, attentive care for animals. Although I do not currently have a pet of my own, I stay closely connected to animals through volunteering at the humane society, where I help care for and socialize dogs of different temperaments and needs. I am active, reliable, and very attentive to each animal’s individual personality and routine. I enjoy providing safe, loving care, regular exercise, and meaningful companionship tailored to each dog’s needs—whether that means calm indoor time, structured walks, or active outdoor time for more energetic dogs. I work mostly remotely, so I’m home the majority of the day and can provide consistent care and attention. I do have occasional appointments, but I plan my schedule to ensure pets are always checked on and cared for regularly. I’m also very active and enjoy hiking and outdoor time, so I’m happy to include pets who enjoy walks, exercise, and being out and about. I provide attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs and routine. I follow all owner instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care or medications. In the home, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and not alone for long periods, giving them consistent companionship and supervision. I keep the environment clean, calm, and stress-free, and I’m very respectful of the client’s home, treating it with care as if it were my own.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds. I grew up with multiple dogs and have had two foster puppies of my own. I have a very flexible work schedule and am looking to babysit, walk/run, and take care of any dog who needs a friend! I work part time and have a very flexible schedule at the moment. I am free the most on weekends but the weekdays are very doable as well. I have a townhouse without a backyard but I plan on going on extensive walks and even runs for more active pets. For boarding I will take your pet anywhere I go if they are comfortable with that!
“Arrabelle takes such good care of Rowdy. He is exhausted from his long walks and exploratory missions with her. She takes beautiful photos of him and shares them frequently.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Waimanalo
Alice was such a great sitter for our lab, Thor. She gave him the sweetest attention and kept us up to date with each visit. She went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. We will absolutely be re-booking her and recommending her services!

I can’t sing Leilani and Luke’s praises enough—there’s a reason they are so highly rated. This was our first time booking them and they were absolutely excellent. We have two cats, one of whom is a senior and requires medication twice a day, and they handled everything with such care and professionalism. Their communication was outstanding from start to finish. They met with me before our vacation, were incredibly responsive the entire time, and were flexible and accommodating when our travel plans changed. Both Leilani and Luke are kind, polite, and genuinely caring people. It’s always hard to leave our older cat, but having them care for her gave us complete peace of mind and allowed us to truly enjoy our trip without worry. We are so grateful for the love, attention, and care they gave both of our cats, and we will definitely be booking them again.

If I could give Alyssa more than 5 stars I would. I contacted her last minute to watch my dog for six days while I was gone on a work trip. The evening I was leaving I got home from work and noticed my dog showing symptoms of an ear infection but didn’t have time to get her into the vet before my flight. The next day when the symptoms remained, Alyssa took her to the vet for me and treated her ear the rest of the trip. My dog then got diarrhea the last day I was gone, and I was out of phone service, so Alyssa handled it. During her regular visits she seemed to take good care of my dog and dedicate the time towards her care and needs. I highly recommend her if you need someone to drop in to take care of your dog.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
