About: Taking care of others has always been a passion of mine. Growing up as the oldest of four, I would watch younger siblings and our two cats and lab while my parents were away. As I got older, I started to take on more responsibility as a nanny, house sitter, and pet sitter. My experience includes working with puppies and kittens, senior dogs and cats, kittens, big dogs and little dogs, fish, and rodents. My responsibilities have ranged from over night care to occasional dog walks. When the time came for me to decide what career to pursue, I considered my love for taking care of others and animals - this is the reason I decided to become a teacher. With that being said, I need a summer gig that allows me to keep doing what I love! Thank you for considering me as your next house and pet sitter. As a teacher, I have summers off, so my schedule is relatively open outside of a bi weekly nannying gig, monthly cleaning job, and some vacations. Due to the flexibility of my schedule, I am available for overnight care, check ins with your pets every couple hours, or dog walks. Unfortunately, I am renting a home that does not allow pets, so I am unable to take animals back to my apartment place. With that being said, I will be visiting your home. I am a very cleanly, attentive, and communicative person! I assure you, your place will be cleaner than when you left it, and your animal will be happy and healthy.
“We had a great experience with Maelee! She sent tons of pictures and I could tell my cats were at ease with her. Very good communication and everything was in perfect shape when we got home.”

About: I’ve become a certified dog lover since rescuing my own pup about two years ago. I’d love to show your dog the same care and level of attention that I show my guy. I do work full time, but I’m available for a walk or two in the evenings during the week, or all day Saturday and Sunday. I’d like to think that I’m perceptive and safe when it comes to walking your dog. Head on a swivel so I can identify potential situations, looking out for cars and pedestrians alike. I think I’m also good at noticing when an animal might be a little hesitant or scared. I’m always patient and kind.
“Claire has been amazing with our two dogs! She is very responsive in scheduling requests, and you can tell that she loves animals. She is particularly good at working with dogs who have been rescued and take a little warming up to. Oh, and the photography skills are on point too! We look forward to working with her again in the near future!”

“Katie is truly a star sitter! We scheduled 3 drop-in visits for our 5 year old golden retriever and they went off without a hitch. Katie followed all our care instructions, took pictures and gave updates, and even took him on a walk and brought in some packages on the front porch to avoid them getting rained on. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Hannah does a great job keeping us up to date on our cat while we’re away. She’s also very flexible and willing to work with us to add extra time to her visits when our guy seems lonely and in need of more attention.”
“Megan and Josh were AMAZING!! I revived notes about how our pup was doing, what was accomplished during the visits and pics that all my kiddos and I appreciated so much!! It was our first time needing help from someone who wasn’t family and she left me with zero worries! Even a parting gift for Savannah ❤️”

About: I have a lot of experience taking care of my family’s dogs (Bernese Mountain Dogs) and dogsitting for friends and neighbors. I have a lot of energy, so I am willing to walk, run, and play with your dog. I am also willing to take your dog to a dog park to get out some more energy. I also offer house sitting. I am a middle school teacher, so during the week I am only available for drop-ins and walks after 3:40. If I am dogsitting for you during the week, there will be times that I am gone for 8-9 hours at work. But on most weekends, I wouldn’t be gone for more than 3-4 hours at a time, and would spend the rest of the time home with your pet making them feel safe and loved! I work full time from 7:30-3:30 on weekdays, but have a lot of afternoon and evening availability for drop-ins and walks. I am also available for early morning drop-ins before 7:00 am. I follow all of the routines, procedures, and feeding instructions left by the pet’s family in order to provide great care for the pet and to ensure the home is safe and secure.
“Tayler did a great job and you can tell she loves cats. One of our cats tends to be hostile toward strangers, and Tayler went above and beyond to try to win her over. We will definitely be using Tayler again.”

About: At a young age, I began to understand and care for our pets and those of friends and family members. I’ve learned how to be patient, kind, and active in order to provide the best care for dogs of various ages and sizes. Living in an apartment now post college, I’ve quickly realized how much I miss the joy and love a dog can bring. I would be incredibly honored to care and provide the most love to your furry family members! I do have a hybrid work schedule but it does come with flexibility to work around any at home requirements. I’ll typically be out of town Monday through Thursday, and have Friday through Sunday available at home. If given enough advance notice, I can manage my schedule to fit around your pets schedule. My work events can change weekly, so planning ahead of time is essential. When I’m not on the road, I work from home and have the ability to care for pets around the clock. My apartment complex is pet friendly, and there are many dogs that live throughout the building. There is an open grass area where many of them do their business, but I do prefer to walk around the block to give your dog more to sniff and space to choose where they’d like to “go”. There are also many local parks that I enjoy going to for little adventures! Since I will likely be working from home while caring for your pet, I will be able to provide 24 hour care and understand their needs throughout the day. Over the weekends, this will also be provided, as I typically stay home and go out around the area locally only.
“Ariel was communicative, friendly, and very easy to work with. She took great are of our cat, Ollie, with frequent drop-in visits while we were out of town. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Tyler took such great care of our two cats over the holiday weekend, including their strict and time-consuming feeding schedule. He is definitely the type of person that animals adore! Our oldest cat tends to be very shy and always hides from new people, but he warmed up to Tyler immediately- no hiding at all! Tyler consistently had a quick response time and sent plenty of pictures throughout our entire trip. This gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We are so relieved to have found great pet care! Tyler is the best!”

“Isabel was awesome with my 2 little pomeranians. They are handful and took such good care of them. The pictures and little report cards she would send made my day! Definitely would recommend her to anyone who needs a sitter for their fur babies. Thanks Isabel!”

About: I used Rover and loved it! Now, I am opening my home, yard (and next door park), to other dogparents. How can we care for your pup(s)? I work from home full time and have a flexible schedule based around events and site visits. Your pups will have supervision, fun, and lots of snuggles if they’d like. I am a German Shepherd mom. I have watched my family member’s pets before and have a crate from when my girl was a pup. My son loves animals and helps care for them all. This was his idea (and he affectionately calls this endeavor “Brayden’s Amazing Dog Boarding”. We treat pups like family but our two story, fenced in home has plenty of space for us to give visitors whatever kind of engagement or isolation they prefer.
“Sara was very professional - she let us know when she was arriving and leaving and sent pictures and documentation of each visit. She let us know that our cat was doing well and happy to see her. She is friendly and responsive.”

“Abby is the absolute best! My puppy adores her and she’s great with response time! I can honestly say I fully trust her with my pup and I am so thankful. Thank you, Abby!”

Grand Rapids dog parents share their Rover experiences
Katie was fantastic with our sweet Loki! He warmed up to her almost instantly, and she did a great job communicating with my partner and I the whole time we were gone. This was the first time Loki has not been watched by someone in our family, and under her watch he was totally fine! We will definitely be repeat clients :-)

We absolutely loved having her care for our puppy, Oliver! She was kind, reliable, and took such great care of him during her drop-in visits. The updates and photos always made our day, and it was clear that Oliver was happy and comfortable with her. Knowing he was in such good hands gave us so much peace of mind. We would not hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her!

Lauren was absolutely amazing with our dog and cats!! I couldn't recommend her enough! She consistently updated us when she visited with them, sent photos, and gave them lots of love and treats :)) I know they had a blast with her and I'll absolutely book her in the future for other trips ❤️

I had a great experience with our McKenzie! She dropped in to spend time with my puppy Barrett, and it was clear right away how comfortable and natural she is with dogs. She gave my pup plenty of attention, playtime, and care, which made a big difference in keeping him happy and stimulated while we were away. She was reliable and communicative! The best Rover experience I’ve had. I had peace of mind knowing Barrett was in good hands. I’ll definitely be booking with her routinely again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and great with dogs.
