“Had Megan for a repeat service. She does an incredible job with a grumpy, antisocial cat. Megan is very responsive to communication and asks questions if necessary. Will be using her again for our next get away.”

About: I have loved, and adopted/fostered, animals my entire life. I adore taking care of them and making them happy, but I also have professional work experience to back it up! I have been pet-sitting for years, but have worked in the animal welfare field for years as well. I have worked at animal rescues as an animal care technician, veterinary assistant, and foster/volunteer manager, so my job has been to make animals happy all day. I would love to take care of your pet, whether that means pet-sitting, walking, etc. I am reliable and will make sure to send plenty of pictures and updates :) I work part-time, but if your pet requires someone who is home must of the day, I am happy to figure out a solution! When I am not working, I can dedicate the rest of my time to caring for your pet and making sure they are as comfortable and content as possible while you are away. If I am pet-sitting in your home, I’ll make sure to follow your furry family member’s routine so that they feel safe and comfortable! I have been pet-sitting in clients’ homes part-time for about 5 years and can provide references as well. If I am boarding your animals in my home, they are free to roam around as they please! I have a cozy guest room dedicated to my pet guests, where they can rest and unwind if they need a safe space to themselves.
“Maelee was very sweet and accommodating. She dropped in on my 2 cats, taking care of their needs as well as giving my elderly cat his meds daily. I appreciated the little notes and pictures sent as well. I highly recommend!”

“Lucas took fantastic care of our pups! His communication was great and he sent us awesome pictures of his time with our dogs. We would highly recommend Lucas to anyone looking for a great caretaker for their pets!”

“Kelsey was amazing! My dog had a wonderful time with her and her kids. I highly recommend her! Being far from my dog was much easier knowing he was in Kelsey’s care.”

“I can't believe how lucky I got when I asked Hollie to take care of my pets a few months ago. I have now booked her for 3 occasions, 2 overnights, and 1 drop in. She will forever be my first pick.”

About: I was a Kennel Technician at a general practice animal hospital for 3 years and have been working at an emergency animal hospital since September 2024. I have experience in taking care of dogs, cats, and even exotics. I have 2 cats, a turtle and a family dog, and I have had birds and reptiles, so I love all kinds of animals. I have taken care of puppies/kittens, senior animals, and all in between. I am trained in administering prescribed medications, including insulin. I go to GVSU and would love to help take care of animals in my free time! I am currently a student at GVSU and live in the area. I work part-time at an emergency animal hospital, but I would love to help take care of the animals in my community in my free time. In the past, I have dog-sat very anxious animals. I like to give them their space at first, letting them get comfortable with me being in their home. I understand it is very difficult for them to have a stranger coming into their territory, so I like to announce myself when I come in and use words and cues they would know. I also find it important that I make myself seem as least threatening as possible and let them get comfortable at their own pace.

I'm currently working part time at Grand Valley at the Laker Store, so if a time lines up with my schedule where I can also take a job on Rover, I'll do it. I'll take some time to get to know the animal first before starting to care for it, or whatever the owner needs me to do. I'm also experienced in nail trims and certified due to my previous job, so I'm able to do those if desired.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have always been actively involved in their care. My parents currently have three dogs, so I’m very comfortable handling multiple dogs at once and managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Over the years, I’ve helped with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and general care, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I’m reliable, attentive, and communicative, and I always prioritize keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy during walks. I’m currently between jobs and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me plenty of availability throughout the morning, afternoon, and evening. I love being outdoors, staying active, and spending time with dogs, so this is a great fit for me. I’m happy to tailor walks based on your dog’s needs—whether that’s a shorter neighborhood stroll or a longer, more energetic walk depending on their energy level. I always make sure dogs get plenty of attention, care, and affection while they’re with me. Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priority during every walk. I always stay attentive to their behavior and surroundings to make sure they are comfortable and secure at all times. I also believe clear communication is essential, so I’ll keep you updated with any relevant notes from our walk and won’t hesitate to reach out if I have any questions or concerns. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your dog is in caring, responsible hands.
“Kina was awesome, she responds quickly, she sends you pictures of my doggies and gave me updates on if they went potty or eat/drank water! She’s super friendly and just loves all animals! Thank you so much for watching our dogs on our wedding day! Definitely would pick Kina to watch anyone’s animals!”

About: As a life-long pet owner, I’ve loved our pets through rambunctious puppy-hood and curious kittens all the way through tender care as they’ve crossed the rainbow bridge. I currently have an elderly dog named Callie and 2 lovable kittens named Mustard and Relish. As a family, we volunteer to clean and feed the cats at Grandville’s Community Cat Crew every weekend. I’m excited to love and care for your pets the same as I do our own! I work in the schools, so during the summers and on the weekends, I’m available and flexible to meet the needs of your pets— early mornings, late nights, multiple times a day, I’m here! I approach each pet based on their response— if they are excited and rambunctious, I will jump in and play and walk. If they are cautious and reserved, I will take the time to patiently wait for them to approach me for love and care.

Hudsonville dog parents share their Rover experiences
Emily was so nice and kind. She helped care for our dogs on Thanksgiving while we were out of town. She sent pictures and provided updates on how the dogs were doing throughout the day. We will consider Emily again in the future and highly recommend her services.
