“Holly Jean was wonderful! She sent me detailed updates about how her drop in visit went. She followed all my instructions perfectly. She was communicative during the booking process and did not hesitate to reach out if she had any further questions. I felt like my cats were well cared for with her!”
About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats my whole life. Whenever my family go camping and can’t take the dogs I stay home and watch them. I have pet sit for non family members in the past when I was in high school. I currently work full time and go to school but I have plenty of time in between classes and don’t have classes every day. A lot of the work for school I can get done at home so I’ll be able to be with your pet pretty often. I am very reliable and will be there when I say I will and will keep you updated on all the fun adventures with your pet! I will take your dog for walks if required and I will follow the routine that you already have while I’m there pet sitting. Since I have dogs I cannot have them at my house but I will take great care of them at your home.
About: My name is Sara and I have been an animal lover my entire life. I have had experience caring for dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and even wild animals! I have a Basset Hound named Minnow who wants to be friends with anything that moves. I can stop by your home to care for larger animals like dogs, cats, etc. But I am totally cool with your small animal (I.e. Guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, etc.) staying with me if needed. I would be honored to care for your pets, spoil them, and treat them like my own. I’m currently working full time 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. I can stop by your house to care for your animal early morning, on my lunch break, after work, and any time on the weekends. I have a safe and separate room I can place your small animal in while caring for them. A cage provided by the owner is required.
“Phoebe was great! I was last minute finding someone to drop in on Scout and she was very accommodating and willing to be flexible! Provided many photos of my sweet girl - Much appreciated!”

“Much confidence going into the visit, with a meet and greet prior to. We really appreciated Jaclyn’s message detailing how the kitties were doing and about how she spent time playing with them. The pictures were very nice too :) We felt very confident that great care was provided for our kitties and will be using her again.”

“We had a great experience with Maelee! She sent tons of pictures and I could tell my cats were at ease with her. Very good communication and everything was in perfect shape when we got home.”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home with both cats and dogs, and I truly cannot imagine life without them as part of the family. That is not just something I say. It is how I live. I have had cats since I was six years old, and my wife and I have shared our home with both cats and dogs our entire adult lives. Right now, our little crew includes our ten year old dog Nara and our two younger cats, Chiri and Lulu. Living in a multi-pet household has taught me how to read different personalities, manage different energy levels, and create a calm, respectful environment where everyone feels secure. I do not see pets as property. They are sentient, emotional members of the family with their own routines, preferences, and boundaries. When I care for your pet, I approach them with patience, attentiveness, and genuine respect. I adjust to their temperament. High energy or shy. Playful or independent. Young or senior. My goal is always the same. Make them feel safe, understood, and comfortable in their own space. My wife brings years of pet sitting experience and previously worked as a dog trainer and consultant. I have learned a great deal from her about behavior, structure, positive reinforcement, and how to respond calmly in different situations. That experience has shaped how I show up with animals. Steady. Observant. Consistent. When caring for your pets, I focus on: • Keeping routines consistent • Providing appropriate play and enrichment • Maintaining clean food, water, and litter areas • Offering calm companionship when that is what they need • Sending thoughtful updates and photos so you feel completely at ease Leaving your pets in someone else’s care requires trust. I take that responsibility seriously. I will treat your pets the way I treat my own. With patience, kindness, and real affection. If you are looking for someone who understands that your pets are family, I would love to help. 🐾 My schedule is flexible, which allows me to give your pet the time and attention they deserve. I focus on keeping their routine consistent, with regular potty breaks, play when they’re up for it, and plenty of companionship rather than quick, rushed visits. I’m available for afternoon and evening visits, weekend care, overnight stays in your home, house sitting, and extended care when needed. Whether your pet needs a few check-ins during the day, weekend coverage, or overnight care, I’m happy to work around what fits best for you. I aim to be present, attentive, and easy to communicate with, and I’ll send regular updates so you can feel confident your pet is comfortable and well cared for. If you have specific timing or needs, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to find a setup that works well for you and your pets. 🐾 Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for your pets, whether in your home or mine. In your home, I focus on keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, walking preferences, and any household guidelines you provide. I’m attentive to details like doors, gates, leashes, and secure areas so your pet stays safe at all times, and I treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own. My approach is calm, patient, and low-stress. I use fear-free handling techniques and pay close attention to behavior and subtle changes, especially for pets who may be more sensitive or require extra care. I’m also certified in Dog CPR & First Aid, so I’m prepared to recognize and respond appropriately if any concerns arise. I believe in clear, proactive communication. If anything seems off, I’ll reach out right away so you always feel informed and at ease. I aim to create an environment where every pet feels safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. They’re family, and I treat them that way. 🐾
“Kate is amazing. After a few bad experiences with rover, Kate immediately put my worries to rest. She was on time and was great at communicating with me. I came home to one very happy puppy :) thanks Kate!!”

“Katie is wonderful. My normally shy cats loved her immediately and that means a lot to us. She sent us great pictures on every visit and we wouldn’t hesitate to book her again in the future!”

About: I've been a part of a foster family for dogs of all ages since 2010 and will continue to do so even longer. The puppy litters I watched over the years have consisted of 4 puppies or less. The oldest "puppies" I've fostered were just about 6 months old but they are usually around 4 to 8 weeks. The oldest dogs I've watched were two small dogs: one was 16 years old and the other was 14 years old. Even before fostering, I watched and walked my neighbor's two dogs during all seasons. If she had not moved away, I would still be walking and caring for them now. I've always had a passion for dogs and my current dog, Ruby, is my second .
About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I have always had two dogs and watched family friends dogs, and neighbors dogs. I have watched dogs over night, taken them on walks, to the dog park, fed them, played with them outside, given baths, and etc. I currently have 4 year old lab mix. I also just got done raising a german shepherd puppy from 4 months old to a 1.5 years old. Currently I do work full time at a bakery anywhere between the hours of 3am-2pm ( depends on the day) . I can definitively work around/with whatever is needed. I just got done raising a german shepherd puppy from 4 months to a year and 7 months. Currently I just help out with our family dog! In my home we have a fenced in yard so I let my dogs out and run around with them. I also take them on walks. I also feed them and play with them inside. They also cuddle and watch movies with me. When watching other peoples animals I follow their rules on how they would like their pet taken care of. I take them out and feed them. I will always play with them and give them attention and love them.
“Kelly did great with a drop in visit with my dogs. Asha is a senior lab with some health issues and Nala is very anxious but they both seemed happy and relaxed. Kelly sent pictures and updates and I would definitely hire her again.”
“Highly recommend Lucas to care for your pets! Lucas is welcoming and engaging - both with humans and our dogs. He took the time to get to know our dogs, their routines and preferences and made sure they were comfortable while he cared for them. He was very communicative with us while we were away and at times went above and beyond to make sure our dogs were taken care of while we were away.”

About: Hey there, I'm Jack! I'm here to make sure every dog I meet gets the adventure, exercise and attention they need all while keeping their tails wagging and sprits high. I am a proud pet parent with over 30 years of experience and passion for building strong bonds with furry companions. I offer daily services from quick potty breaks to long energizing walks through neighborhoods and parks all while ensuring the safety and well being of your dog. I am proficient in reading dog body language to determine their needs and mood. I will monitor your dog's behavior and alert you to any changes that might need attention(lack of appetite, lethargy, etc).

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
