About: I moved away from the New England area during the pandemic and came to the Midwest where I didn’t know anyone. Back home, I had friends and family begging me to go on vacation so they could dog sit my dog, but here, without knowing too many people, finding a dog sitter was a really difficult ordeal. Thankfully, Rover and other apps helped, especially when I was able to travel again. I'm looking to help out in the same way this app and others helped me. I live in a large home with my wife Kelly (can't seem to figure out how to add her name but she'll also be helping with sitting), two dog friendly cats, and a very chill dog of our own. Pearl and Boy are our orange kitties and Candy is a 55lb brown lab mix. Candy and I used to be a certified therapy animal team when we had more time on our hands. All three animals love company (mostly human company but other animals are more than welcome, too) so your pet will definitely not be alone while you're away between us five. We do have a fenced-in yard, a dog specific area over the garage and all dogs are welcome to roam the entire house - especially if you also allow that in your home. But if your animal needs their own space, they have the loft, the yard, and various dog beds to decompress throughout the house. The old owners of our home used to be dog breeders and the home came with amenities specifically catered to hosting dogs. While we don’t and won’t breed ourselves, these features of the home make a great dog-friendly home for any pet while you’re away! We both work full time but Kelly is home three days a week and I’m home the other two. Typically my day revolves around when I should take the dogs out anyway. Usually one walk around 7am, another around noon, another around 5 when I get back and one before bed. How we care for your pet will be completely up to you and how you normally care for them. The goal is to keep the disruption of a routine to a minimum while treating your dog to a change of scenery and a new friend

About: I helped my parent raise and train our current dog, and i also worked as a dog trainer for a while! I have experience with difficult dogs, puppies, and older dogs of all sizes! I am extremely patient with nervous dogs and excitable puppies! (I cannot provide training services as i have a contract with my past employer(can resume in February of 2027)) I am fairly flexible and can be there any Saturday, Sunday or Tuesday at any time! I would prefer a days heads up but same day is fine. I have plenty of experience and training with dog safety as I was previously a dog trainer, and i am very adaptable to any situation that may arise! I am very patient and I love to mix things up to keep it interesting for your pup! I am more than happy to care for and walk your pup any time of day! I am also experienced with off leash hikes as well, so if you have an e-collar I’d be happy to take them on the trails as well!

Jasmine was my first encounter with this app and hiring a sitter. She set my mind at ease. She is very nice and caring. Our bulldog Lola seems to really like her! I will be reaching out to her again in the future when we need it.

About: I understand how stressful it is leaving your dog or having to board him or her while away. I have experience working with Rover, and I would like to resume providing pet care services. I've been around animals most of my life. I have also cared for the pets of friends and family, including my six-year-old English cream golden retriever, Maxwell. He's friendly and loves playing with other dogs. I would love to be the trusted person to take care of and pamper your pet. Leave your pet with me and we can go for walks, play ball , Frisbee, or just relax. I will provide your dog with a quiet, loving home environment with plenty of attention and care to fit their personality. I am currently home majority of the time to care for your pet. I work three out of the five days per week at home. I am available on weekends. I am in office two days per week. I drive home for Max to to take a break on my lunch hour. I will provide your pet with a quite, safe environment. If boarding your pet I will provide him or her with care that will be tailored to their needs and personality.

About: I am an active PE teacher who also loves being active with my current dog Lola. Happy to walk or run your dog. I also do some basic sit and pause training. Finally, I will let the owner choose if they would like their dog walked or to go for a run. With being a teacher, I currently have Summers off and I'm looking to be up and active with my dog and other people's dogs. Weekends during the school year, allow me ample amount of time to fit your dog's needs. I am respectful of time, property, and most importantly your pet. As a teacher, I will give your dog the time, commitment, and love it needs and deserves

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever sense I was little. I’ve always been around dogs and I have always been counted on to take them on walks and care for them with the upmost respect. I have a pretty flexible schedule and can adjust to meet your needs. You will never have to be doubtful of the safety of your animal if they are in my hands. I currently work full time but have varied hours where I am available in the mornings some days of the week as well as in the afternoon and weekends. I can work with your schedule to when you need me. I will follow all rules and regulations you may have when it comes to what you allow your pets to do in your home. I can use the same demands as you do with your animal so there is always consistency. I am very trustworthy and will leave your home exactly how you left it. I will always respect your space, you, and your animal.

About: I have been with rover, dog bording for about 3 years now. I love animals, they are my favorite. I pet every dog I see. I have also been around animals my whole life. When I was younger I had a dog named rocky, he was a cocker spaniel and a beagle mix, I had him for 13 years. When we had to put him down part of my soul left, he was my best friend. I know what its like to love your beautiful animals, through hard times they are always there for us. They are all created with beautiful souls, we are so lucky to have something like that by our sides. With that being said, I would love to take in your pet as if it were my own. Thank you for reading. Ps.I do NOT have cats or any animals. For some reason it says I have cats. 🤷‍♀️ I currently am a stay at home mom so I am able to be with your pups all day! I am able to get to know your dog and they dont think im a stranger when they come back! I have a lot of space to take your dog for a walk. We walk in the morning and I take them for a long walk before bed, and to crate if needed.

About: I've pet sat on and off for neighbors since I was a kid and grew up with dogs and cats in my own home. My childhood dog was the sweetest pitbull so I don't have any preconceived notions about any breed I love them all! I'm currently in real estate photography so I do shoots on and off during the day so if planned I can do stop ins and walks throughout the day. But for longer pet care I can do overnights on weekends. I'm very gentle with all animals but I also know how to handle difficult situations very well. It's very important for a pet owner to know how to deal with aggression/fights, sickness, running from the house, etc. and I've dealt with all of this and more.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a young child. I have assisted in training puppies that my family owned over the years, as well as train my own dog, Hazel. I assisted my family in caring for my late dogs and cat in their elderly age as well. I frequently dog sit for a family member and she trusts me to be the primary sitter for her large dog. Additionally, due to my dog having severe anxiety to storms and loud noises, I specialize in care for dogs with anxiety through coping mechanisms such as medication, soothing dialogue, doggy cuddles, and other forms of care most suitable to your dog. I am very empathetic and nurturing in personality, and I feel that dogs have always sensed these traits about me and instantly feel comforted by my presence. I work a full-time job in the legal field from 8AM - 5PM Monday to Friday. I am available any time after 5PM on weekdays, or anytime on the weekends! I take my dog on 2-3 walks per day, and I have an adjoining neighborhood to my apartment complex that is safe and accessible for dogs of any age/size. I have an enclosed dog park for small and large dogs in my apartment complex, as well as a dog spa (if needed). My apartment is on the first floor, and I am able to let my dog outside in the back on a leash. My dog runs and plays in the dog park as it is fully fenced in. In your home, I will abide by any safety instructions to keep your dog as safe as possible. I will always make sure your dog is let outside to use the bathroom on a leash (or off leash if in an enclosed yard), and play time will be either in an enclosed backyard or park (of your choosing) and never off-leash unsupervised. If your dog prefers to not be around other dogs, I will completely adhere to this rule as well.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Comstock Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Comstock Park with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
