About: Growing up my family always owned one or two golden retrievers at a time and instantly fell in love with the breed. I worked at a dog boarding/day care facility for about 3 years. I’ve worked with many different types of breeds along with all sorts of temperaments. With that came taking care of dogs of ALL ages. I’ve handled up to 15 large dogs at a time, also handling cats. Absolutely loved my job and hope to continue working with animals:) I work at a School in Grand Haven, Monday-Friday till around 4p.m. (Sometimes later) So, my evenings are open to walks & drop-ins. My weekends are still available for house sitting, drop-ins, and walks! In the summer there is lots more availability! I was lucky enough to grow up with a mom that did full time pet sitting at one point and got to tag along on all her trips. I also pet sit for family and friends. About: Since I was five years old there’s always been a dog in my house. Currently I have a 7 year old rescue French bulldog named Lady. She came to us with multiple medical concerns and I feel very comfortable providing attention and care to dogs! I have experience dog sitting for multiple friends and I am looking to branch out. With the summer heat and her short snout, she can’t go for long walks, but she loves an afternoon nap. All three animals love company (mostly human company but other animals are more than welcome, too) so your pet will definitely not be alone while you're away between us five. We do have a fenced-in yard and all dogs are welcome to roam the entire house - especially if you also allow that in your home. But if your animal needs their own space, we have a loft area, the yard, and various dog beds to decompress throughout the house. The old owners of our home used to be dog breeders and the home came with amenities specifically catered to hosting dogs. While we don’t and won’t breed ourselves, these features of the home make a great dog-friendly home for any pet while you’re away! We both work full time but Kelly is home three days a week and I’m home the other two. Typically my day revolves around when I should take the dogs out anyway. Usually one walk around 7am, another around noon, another around 5 when I get back and one before bed. How we care for your pet will be completely up to you and how you normally care for them. The goal is to keep the disruption of a routine to a minimum while treating your dog to a change of scenery and a new friend
