About: I come from a family that has always sheltered, rescued, and spoiled all the fur babies that come into our lives. Patience and affection are our gifts. I work part time out of the house and part time in my home. That leaves my schedule open to caring for others pets in my home or for drop ins and walks. I have a fenced in yard and a large home with plenty of room. If your pupper is unfamiliar with cats I can ensure safe space kept between them. Walks, couch potato time, and kiddos in and out make for plenty of love and activity. My children are old enough to provide respectful space to pets that need it.
“Eden was fabulous! From the parents of a high needs diabetic senior kitty we could not more enthusiastically recommend Eden as a pet sitter and care giver. They went above and beyond our expectations with great reports, pictures, and making sure they understood Finn's needs and care. Thanks Eden, you were awesome!”

“Sweetest girl! My cat never comes out for strangers and he actually played with her! My dog loved her immediately. I would definitely recommend her to anyone with pets, and she booked with me pretty last minute she’s a life saver!”

“I love knowing Kristen is caring for my cats! She is responsible and manages any issues. My cats are shy but have warmed up to her and I can tell they like when she visits them. I will definitely have Kristen again for care!”

“From the start Megan was a great communicator, flexible and available. I felt comfortable with her right away. She was able to watch my cat for a week, give her the medicine she needs every day. Honestly I’m some ways she was better taken care of when I am home. She emptied the litter box and brushed her everyday even though I didn’t ask. She went above and beyond at every turn. Next vacation I have I will look to see that’s she is available. Terrific sitter”

“We’ve had Lauren check in our cats a few different times now, and it’s always worked out so well. She’s a great communicator, and we rest easy knowing they’re being taken care of (and our shy cat has warmed up to her now!).”

“Judy has been hanging out with our three fur babies for about a year now and they love her as much as we do. She’s wonderful with pups with separation anxiety and our our kitty eats comfortably when she’s visiting. You should book her!!!!”

About: Growing up my family always owned one or two golden retrievers at a time and instantly fell in love with the breed. I worked at a dog boarding/day care facility for about 3 years. I’ve worked with many different types of breeds along with all sorts of temperaments. With that came taking care of dogs of ALL ages. I’ve handled up to 15 large dogs at a time, also handling cats. Absolutely loved my job and hope to continue working with animals:) I work at a School in Grand Haven, Monday-Friday till around 4p.m. (Sometimes later) So, my evenings are open to walks & drop-ins. My weekends are still available for house sitting, drop-ins, and walks! I was lucky enough to grow up with a mom that did full time pet sitting at one point and got to tag along on all her trips. I also pet sit for family and friends. Including overnights, walks, and administering medications, eye drops, pills, ect. So, I know how important it is to be mindful of someone’s else’s home and their four-legged (sometimes three) loved ones.
About: I have lived in a house hold full of animals since I was born. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs at my childhood home and 2 cats at my now apartment! Nothing makes me happier than caring for and being around animals, I am very active and love being outdoors. I have had multiple jobs of dog and house sitting for coworkers and church member! I am currently working full time as a receptionist and nail technician at a local salon in grand haven. But have pretty open schedule on the mornings I do not work! My free time is filled with being active and dog/house sitting but I am still open to taking care of more animal families in need! I offer drop in visits at clients homes, but not my own since I live in an apartment. These visits can consist of feeding, letting outside, playing, or any other needs to make your animals happy!

“Taylor was amazing with my pets and very compassionate with the fact that I was nervous to leave them in the first place. I appreciate her more than she knows! Thank you!”

About: I like to call myself Maya Dolittle. I aim to make all my pet babies comfortable in whatever setting they may be in. Having a long history with pets, I have come to genuinely enjoy the sometimes passive, but always spontaneous care of pets. I’d love to meet your furry companion! I work full time, first shift, so I can tend to your pets anytime after! I love to travel, and would love to be there for your pet when you need a getaway. I live in an apartment, so the more ideal environment to tend to your pet is your household as they will be somewhere familiar and not have to be as contained.
“McKenzie was very good with our pets. She went above and beyond to ensure that they were cared for to the point where they felt like they were on vacation from us not just the other way around. She even brought in our packages and trash can during our time away, a real solid help without question. I hope she is available for future needs at our residence, and anyone else would be wise to seek her out for their pet needs too.”

About: I am a huge animal lover and will gladly take care of any fur baby. I follow directions and strive to make sure that the animal and owner our satisfied with their service This is my main job as of this time, but I also have a volunteer work that is flexible for me and for the furbabies that have been entrusted to me. I always make sure that they have proper medication and food, whether that be healthy human food snacks or their own dog food. I also check for ticks and know how to remove them if necessary

From the moment we met her, Alyssa has been friendly, genuine, and trustworthy. She clearly loves dogs and spends quality time with Georgie. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fruitport choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Fruitport with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
