“Derek was wonderful! We had a three-day family event at Connor Bayou park nearby and needed a place in the area for our shy dog to stay. Derek was very accommodating with pickup/drop off times and even let us pick our dog up for a few hours one day to make an appearance at the event. We had a perfect weekend! Derek was very kind and understanding of our shy dog, and our dog had a great time! He has great "dog vibes" which our sensitive dog definitely picked up on. “Just fabulous. On our meet and greet, Barts (my cat) took to Maggie immediately. During her check-ins, I got timely updates and plenty of photos - playtime, open window time, snacks and cuddles. Excellent communication at all times. Maggie even helped me out by watering some plants, and took the initiative to take my trash can out to the curb for pickup even though I hadn’t mentioned it. Upon arriving home, I was greeted by a very happy cat even though I’m sure he will miss her. At least until the next time because I won’t hesitate to book Maggie again if she is available. 🙂❤️”

One of the kittens had a scratch above her eye and Allyson kept a close eye on her healing and overall well being. Her messages were kind and reassuring. “I came to Grand Rapids on a last-minute work thing and didn’t want to leave Roxy in the hotel alone for 4 to 6 hours in the evening. I reached out to a couple of folks on rover and Miranda was one of the first ones that replied and was able to take Roxy. This was my first time as a doggy dad leaving Rox with with somebody I didn’t know. We met Miranda at her house and after meeting her found that she is truly a really nice person that truly loves animals and made it easy for me to leave her there. Roxy took to her almost immediately. I picked Roxy up the next morning and everything was great. She’d been walked and had play time few times and she was her normal goofy happy self. Great job!”
About: Growing up my family always owned one or two golden retrievers at a time and instantly fell in love with the breed. I worked at a dog boarding/day care facility for about 3 years. I’ve worked with many different types of breeds along with all sorts of temperaments. With that came taking care of dogs of ALL ages. I’ve handled up to 15 large dogs at a time, also handling cats. Absolutely loved my job and hope to continue working with animals:) I work at a School in Grand Haven, Monday-Friday till around 4p.m. (Sometimes later) So, my evenings are open to walks & drop-ins. My weekends are still available for house sitting, drop-ins, and walks! In the summer there is lots more availability! I was lucky enough to grow up with a mom that did full time pet sitting at one point and got to tag along on all her trips. I also pet sit for family and friends. Including overnights, walks, and administering medications, eye drops, pills, ect. So, I know how important it is to be mindful of someone’s else’s home and their four-legged (sometimes three) loved ones.

About: I have always loved animals. My favorite thing to do is go on walks because I get to spend time with my best buddies and I get some excercise myself. All dogs have a unique personality and I love getting the opportunity to get to know each dog. I am a pretty active person myself so I am able to power walk or even run to get the dogs energy out! My schedule is pretty flexible but I prefer mornings and afternoons (morning walks are always peaceful and nice). I am willing to travel to trails and other walking areas to give the dog a new adventure and so they do not get bored with the same walking routine. I think even dogs like to change up where they walk every now and then! My current work schedule is already extremely flexible. I am able to work around any pet care visits and walks. I would love to spend the extra time I have caring for animals as they always make days brighter! Currently I am only doing care at the clients home. We just moved and currently do not have a fence set up yet. Our two dogs listen pretty well so we don’t have to worry about them running off, but I don’t want to risk watching anyone else’s fur baby at our home until we have a fence put up! I am willing to care for pets at the clients home and can promise I won’t make a mess and will clean up after myself and the pet!

About: I've grown up with dogs my whole life. I also grew up with hunting dogs. So I can handle high energy breeds. I also work with horses, so I can handle high maintenance animal care. I can give shots, medication, and follow instructions. I work a lot, so the weekends work best for me. If you want to sleep in on a Sunday or go out late on Saturday, or even just take a nap I'm good to walk your dog. I always have water out for my dog, and feed him twice a day. About: I worked at a doggy daycare for 7 months, that included playtime, grooming, and training.
