About: I can work with dogs that have anxiety and aggressive. And cats too and any other animals. As I love animals of any size big or small Saturday-Sunday I can do anytime Monday-Friday after 2:30pm unless I'm staying in the house sitting and petsitting. Then time doesn't really matter as much then. Environment would be your home as I rent and they don't allow petsitting. Depends if yard is fence area if it is then I will play ball with them.

About: Hi, I’m Erika! Animals have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I bring that lifetime of comfort and familiarity into caring for your fur baby. Currently, my days are filled with pet care. I am a proud cat parent, so I am completely in tune with feline body language, routines, and the exact spot they like to be scratched. I also care for my neighbor’s dog on a part time basis. This means lots of walks (I love trails!), dog parks, playtime and providing companionship! Because pet care is a natural part of my everyday life, you can head out the door with total peace of mind knowing your pet will receive reliable, attentive, and tailored care that keeps their usual routine perfectly on track. I can't wait to meet your fur baby! I have a very flexible schedule and would love to walk/care for your doggo! It helps me get my steps in along with getting your dogs energy out! Whether caring for your fur baby in your home, walking them, or doing a drop in, my top priority is maintaining their absolute comfort and security. I strictly follow the routine you’ve established by keeping feeding, medication, and walk times exactly as they are used to so their stress is minimized while you're away. I treat your home with the highest level of respect, ensuring it stays clean, quiet, and secure. You can also count on regular updates and photos after our visits so you always have total peace of mind knowing your pet and your home are in safe, responsible hands

About: I work remotely, which means I have a flexible schedule and can spend plenty of time with pets while caring for them in the comfort of their own home. I've been a dog owner since 2009, and while my two dogs sadly passed away a few years ago, that experience taught me a lot about routines, personalities, and all the little quirks that make each pet unique. I know many pets feel most comfortable in their familiar environment, so I focus on keeping their routine as normal as possible, whether that's walks, playtime, meals, medication, or simply keeping them company throughout the day. I'm used to everything from energetic zoomies to picky eaters to dogs with very specific walk preferences, and I do my best to meet each pet where they are. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you're never left wondering how things are going and can relax knowing your pet is receiving plenty of attention, care, and affection while you're away. Working from home gives me a lot of flexibility to fit pet care naturally into my day, whether that's walks, meals, playtime, medication, or simply spending quality time together. Because I work remotely, most pets are rarely left alone for extended periods, which can be especially helpful for dogs who experience separation anxiety or just enjoy having company around. I do my best to keep pets' routines as consistent as possible, since many dogs are most comfortable when their day feels familiar and predictable. Whether it's sticking to their normal walking schedule, feeding times, favorite activities, or just providing companionship, my goal is to help them feel relaxed, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I provide pet care in your pet's home, where many dogs feel most comfortable and secure. My goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible by following their usual schedules for walks, meals, playtime, medications, and anything else that helps them feel at ease. I make sure pets receive plenty of one-on-one attention, companionship, and care while you're away, so they're not just being watched, they're being cared for. If I'm house sitting, I'm also happy to help with small household tasks like bringing in mail, watering plants, and keeping an eye on the home. I provide regular updates with photos and messages, so you always know how things are going. Since I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, I'm able to accommodate midday breaks, overnight stays, and longer care periods. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for in the place they know best.

About: I can offer specialized care for puppies, seniors, and high-needs pets. My experience started with helping friends and family as both a boarder and pet sitter. Now through Rover, I have worked with many different families and met so many furry friends! I have experience walking many different dogs and feel comfortable walking larger breeds. Growing up surrounded by pets, particularly rescued ones, I've developed a deep connection with animals. I genuinely respect each pet's unique personality, and provide attentive care while respecting their boundaries. I'm working primarily as a pet sitter. I usually have other personal projects I work on during the day so I will leave from time to time, but never for longer than your pet is used to. The rest of the time I'm happy spend however you usually do with your pet. If you have a high needs pet that requires close to 24/7 attention I would love to help, but I will need to ask for additional compensation. Safety and trust are my top priorities when providing personal in-home care for your pet. I will always prioritize your pet's well-being and respect your home. I want to build a genuine bond with your pet to make them comfortable during our time together. I am happy to send you pictures while I'm with your pet!

About: A few things that set me apart from other sitters you may see is that I am definitely an animal person.. I’ve had chickens, lizards, guinea pigs, you name it! I am excited to meet new furry friends and help out pet owners! My services include everything from pet sitting at your home, dog walking, and drop in visits/feedings/playtime. I have lots of experience with animals any size, age, or breed. Every pet deserves to feel special and loved, especially when their owners are away from home! A few special qualities I have are that I know CPR for cats and dogs, I can administrate any medication, I’m very reliable and will always answer any calls or texts asap, I have several years of experience in senior dogs, disabled pets, and puppies as we used to breed them! I’m just the girl you need:) Also I am definitely a very organized/clean person, and I can assure you that any mess your pets may make, I will make it look squeaky clean! I am a full time college student right now, but my calendar is updated correctly. Every Thursday pm-Sunday pm or even Monday am I am fully available:) I’m a huge baby when it comes to animals, bad habit of mine is spoiling them! I always make sure to give my animals their daily pills/vitamins, I wrap it in cheese but I have experience in several different ways to administrate medication. No matter the yard situation of a pet owners home, I try to get their pet(s) outside for at least 20 minutes a day, depending on the weather. Even if it’s a quick walk around the block, or playing fetch outside for a bit! Even if the pet does not want to exercise or play, I will always be down for a cuddle session with your fur baby!! Another thing is that I will always respect your privacy, and personal belongings as I come and go into your home and always lock the doors when I leave. I am extremely reliable and you can count on me to always answer my phone calls and texts asap!

About: I have been with rover, dog bording, since 2018. I love animals, they are my favorite. I pet every dog I see. I have also been around animals my whole life. When I was younger I had a dog named rocky, he was a cocker spaniel and a beagle mix, I had him for 13 years. When we had to put him down part of my soul left, he was my best friend. I know what its like to love your beautiful animals, through hard times they are always there for us. They are all created with beautiful souls, we are so lucky to have something like that by our sides. With that being said, I would love to take in your pet as if it were my own. Thank you for reading. Ps.I do NOT have cats or any animals. For some reason it says I have cats. 🤷‍♀️ I currently am a stay at home mom so I am able to be with your pups all day! I am able to get to know your dog and they dont think im a stranger when they come back! I have a lot of space to take your dog for a walk. We walk in the morning and I take them for a long walk before bed, and to crate if needed.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rockford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Rockford with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rockford. On Rover:

  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
