“We were in town for a family reunion and needed to have Beignet & Brie cared for. So fortunate to have Terry care for our babies. They loved being there. They were happy and content and felt right at home with him immediately. Such a warm and welcoming environment. Thank you Terry!”

“Thank you for taking such good care of Ivy yesterday. Unfortunately she had multiple seizures during the night and is not able to return today. I wanted you to know that it was nothing that you did to cause the cancellation. We hope to see you again soon.”

“Another 5-star stay with Jacy! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cinder always has the best time with her, and I never have to worry about him while he’s there. She takes great care of him, keeps us updated, and somehow manages to keep up with his insane amount of energy 😂. We’re always happy to have someone we trust take care of him. Highly recommend Jacy!”

“Maddie is absolutely wonderful!! Our puppy loves her family just as much as they love him. This was our puppy’s third stay with Maddie and he always has a fun time with her. We know with Maddie our puppy is safe and very well taken care off. I would highly recommend Maddie anytime !”

“Jenn did a wonderful job caring for our anxious dog Isaac! I appreciate that she did a meet and greet with us at a local dog park before Isaac's stay, it really help put our minds at ease. Isaac liked Jen immediately and seemed happy to arrive back on his second day of daycare. We plan to continue to use Jen in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was about 17. I own 1 and 1 cat. I worked at a pet store for 2 years and loved all the animals coming in and out ❤️ I Range from working part time to full time but I am very flexible! I love making and creating a scheldue to follow ! Especially for the pups I have a nice little yorkie if your pup needs a friend! Otherwise I am a great in home watcher. I also have a black cat that loves to play but not the best with bigger dogs !
“Cub had another fantastic play date with his friend Mabel! I know he’s treated well because he gets super excited when we show up to their house! He’ll be looking forward to the next hangout :)”

“Chris and Vashti are great! They’re almost always available, even when I need daycare last minute. They share constant updates throughout the day. I get photos and messages showing Cinder Block having the best time, which makes it so much easier to leave him knowing he’s in great hands. It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs they watch, not just going through the motions. Cinder comes home happy, tired, and clearly well cared for every single time. Couldn’t recommend them more.”

“Can’t say enough good things about Dale and how he cares for Cashew! 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for an awesome and reliable person to care for their loved ones!”

“Lynn goes above and beyond and clearly loves what she does. Absolutely recommend with no hesitation. Reliable, funny, kind, and has a great environment for our very energetic Australian Cattle Dog.”

“Melissa was absolutely awesome taking care of our dog, Finn! She’s so friendly and Finn felt comfortable with her right away. I felt good leaving him in her hands. I definitely recommend her if you need some doggie daycare!”

About: I’ve always had animals of my own, basically since I was old enough to walk. I started my own pet-sitting business when I was 13. I’m the go-to for friends and family when they need their babies cared for and I love every breed. I studied veterinary medicine for a number of years and have more recently begun to train dogs, as well. I work full-time but I make my own schedule. I also live just a few minutes away from my work and can pop back to my house when need be. I’m already taking care of our senior dog, our new puppy, and our two cats. I love being outside and taking the babies for walks. I have a fenced in yard as well as two other dogs and two other cats. I have a large crate as well as two portable enclosures and no shortage of extra bowls, blankets, toys, and towels. I live in a great neighborhood and there is a park a block away. It’s important to me that animals are well taken care of and I love spending extra time playing and snuggling with any babies I get to hang out with.
“Joshua is awesome with my puppy! His own dogs are great with other dogs and are very patient with my pup. He seems to do well with training too, all positive reinforcement. Very happy with him!”

About: I have years of experience with different breeds such as German Shepards, huskies, and now currently a Blue Heeler. Grew up around animals my whole life and enjoy working with them :) I love animals and will care for your fur baby like it’s my own. I’ve boarded for a few family friends before and loved it. I have open availability right now, I do have a Blue Heeler named Luna who is a year old so her schedule is pretty easy :) I will always keep you updated on any schedule changes of mine ahead of time. My schedule is pretty open weekdays and the weekends :) Safety and trust, and the environment are my top priorities when it comes to other peoples dogs, including my own. Coming from a background of raising working dogs I always make sure there are plenty of activities to keep them energized. I would never put your pet in any type of danger/unsafe situations, I will always put your dog first and protect them like he/she is my own fur baby. I like having a fenced in yard because in my experience for my dog that’s where she feels safest is in her own domain, a place that she can get away to have a place that’s her own for a while.
“Omg I had so much anxiety leaving him while I had to go to work but Mimi and her pets became quick friends with my pup Frankie. I am so grateful for her watching him while I was gone. Her dog Roxy was so sweet with Frankie too. He already loves goes to her house!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Jenison commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 405 sitters in Jenison, 94% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
