About: I’ve always enjoyed having dogs and cats as pets. I truly believe a dog is the truest friend a person can have. They deserve love and amazing care! I work part-time and am available to walk dogs or dog sit most all days and times. Saturdays and Sundays are not a problem at all. I do not have a fenced yard, though I do have a nice large back deck that we can enclose pets in to enjoy the outdoors while being safely locked in. We also live on a very quiet street with virtually no traffic and I love taking my own dog, Julie, for walks in the woods. She would love company! We love the outdoors in the summer, so lots of exercise for your fur baby At this time I can only care for hypoallergenic breeds in my home. I can walk and do drop ins with any breed. I’m the go-to for friends and family when they need their babies cared for and I love every breed. I also live just a few minutes away from my work and can pop back to my house when need be. I’m already taking care of our senior dog, our new puppy, and our two cats. I have a large crate as well as two portable enclosures and no shortage of extra bowls, blankets, toys, and towels. I live in a great neighborhood and there is a park a block away. About: I was a dog mom to a white GSD mix for 10 years, and grew up with a variety of 4 legged pets (in all shapes & sizes). Dogs: I am comfortable bathing, trimming nails & fur between paw pads. I'm used to coming up with creative meal solutions, sticking to a feeding schedule, having pups (& cats) with sensitive stomachs. I did agility training with my dog, use hand signs as well as voice commands. I have had to give shots and pills to pets over the years - we had a dog with diabetes; allergy pills for my pup were delivered orally. I'm comfortable taking dogs for hikes, runs, swims, car rides, and walks. I'm comfortable and experienced with other pets as well - cats, bunnies, lizards/geckos, fish, etc. During the summer I work from home Monday through Thursday. Friday through Sunday's are generally very open. If boarding at the house, I am able to do potty breaks and walks between students. For pets staying in my home = no to pee pads. Early mornings aren't an issue. If you're looking for a long-term arrangement that's great! Short-term/last minute? I hope I can help! I have a large fenced in backyard. 3 out of the 4 yards around me have dogs, one of which keeps them on a leash in addition to the fence. Rooms/areas pets are not allowed in are closed off, but for the most part pets have free range of the house & of the furniture. There is a dog park nearby my house, in addition to the spacious backyard, and a nature preserve close by as well. There are plenty of squirrels to chase in the yard.
