Though we were fairly short notice, Dan helped walk us through the Rover process, allowed us to do a meet and greet ahead of time, and was very flexible with drop off and pick up. Not knowing how our dogs would do as a first time away from us with non-family, there was a lot of anxiety on our side and it all was put to rest with videos and pictures of our pups having a great time there! There’s no doubt our dogs have some quirks but Dan and Kelly took amazing care of them and made them/us feel very welcome! Their house is very pet friendly with the toys, beds, and large fenced in backyard. So grateful to have found them, and strongly recommend them for your furry family members!”

“I came to Grand Rapids on a last-minute work thing and didn’t want to leave Roxy in the hotel alone for 4 to 6 hours in the evening. I reached out to a couple of folks on rover and Miranda was one of the first ones that replied and was able to take Roxy. This was my first time as a doggy dad leaving Rox with with somebody I didn’t know. We met Miranda at her house and after meeting her found that she is truly a really nice person that truly loves animals and made it easy for me to leave her there. I work part-time and am available to walk dogs or dog sit most all days and times. Saturdays and Sundays are not a problem at all. I do not have a fenced yard, though I do have a nice large back deck that we can enclose pets in to enjoy the outdoors while being safely locked in. We also live on a very quiet street with virtually no traffic and I love taking my own dog, Julie, for walks in the woods. She would love company! About: I’ve always had animals of my own, basically since I was old enough to walk. I started my own pet-sitting business when I was 13. I’m the go-to for friends and family when they need their babies cared for and I love every breed. I studied veterinary medicine for a number of years and have more recently begun to train dogs, as well. I work full-time but I make my own schedule. I also live just a few minutes away from my work and can pop back to my house when need be. I’m already taking care of our senior dog, our new puppy, and our two cats. I love being outside and taking the babies for walks. I have a fenced in yard as well as two other dogs and two other cats. I have a large crate as well as two portable enclosures and no shortage of extra bowls, blankets, toys, and towels. I live in a great neighborhood and there is a park a block away. It’s important to me that animals are well taken care of and I love spending extra time playing and snuggling with any babies I get to hang out with.

In 3 days time, was house trained, and enrolled in Puppy Pre-School at a local PETSMART. He was such a quick learner, sitting and staying in no time! - Years later, my youngest Son and I, owned registered AKC, Siberian Huskies, and raised and sold 4 litters of puppies. Such fun. - a few other animals I've cared for; dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, bearded dragons, fish, eels, a chinchilla, pet snakes....but said no to a tarantula! About: I was a dog mom to a white GSD mix for 10 years, and grew up with a variety of 4 legged pets (in all shapes & sizes). Dogs: I am comfortable bathing, trimming nails & fur between paw pads. I'm used to coming up with creative meal solutions, sticking to a feeding schedule, having pups (& cats) with sensitive stomachs. I did agility training with my dog, use hand signs as well as voice commands. I have had to give shots and pills to pets over the years - we had a dog with diabetes; allergy pills for my pup were delivered orally. I'm comfortable taking dogs for hikes, runs, swims, car rides, and walks. I'm comfortable and experienced with other pets as well - cats, bunnies, lizards/geckos, fish, etc. During the summer I work from home Monday through Thursday. Friday through Sunday's are generally very open. If boarding at the house, I am able to do potty breaks and walks between students. For pets staying in my home = no to pee pads. Early mornings aren't an issue. If you're looking for a long-term arrangement that's great! Short-term/last minute? I hope I can help! I have a large fenced in backyard. 3 out of the 4 yards around me have dogs, one of which keeps them on a leash in addition to the fence. Rooms/areas pets are not allowed in are closed off, but for the most part pets have free range of the house & of the furniture. There is a dog park nearby my house, in addition to the spacious backyard, and a nature preserve close by as well. There are plenty of squirrels to chase in the yard.

About: All of my life I have always had pets. From cats to dogs, guinea pigs to fish, I am very experienced in taking care and looking after animals, from small dogs to big I have had them all. I am very well with walking dogs and being someone they can trust as if I have met them before. I am a recent graduate and have a full time job. About: I’ve owned and been around dogs my whole life. They truly are my favorite animal and I love all breeds and genders. I am a student at GVSU so I’m not able to see my dogs every day which is very hard for me. I love spending time with dogs, they bring me so much joy. When I was 6 my family got a German Shepard puppy named Sophie and she lived to be 14 years old. I got my other dog Diesel for my 16th birthday as a puppy. I took care of him and trained him up until I went to college. I also have a small dog, Gunner, that I’ve helped train and take care of when he was a puppy. I have also owned rabbits and hamsters. I’m a full-time college student so my schedule can be busy some days and empty on other days. I can take time in between my classes to walk and or take care of a dog. Safety is my biggest concern when caring for my dogs and other peoples dogs. They are members of the family so their safety is very important to me. When caring for my dogs I pay attention to their body language. For example, when my dogs were puppies I would let them out after they ate and drank and made sure to watch for excessive sniffing. I also play inside and outside with my dogs. My dog Diesel loves to go and get a pup cup from Starbucks so we also do that often!

Though we were fairly short notice, Dan helped walk us through the Rover process, allowed us to do a meet and greet ahead of time, and was very flexible with drop off and pick up. Not knowing how our dogs would do as a first time away from us with non-family, there was a lot of anxiety on our side and it all was put to rest with videos and pictures of our pups having a great time there! There’s no doubt our dogs have some quirks but Dan and Kelly took amazing care of them and made them/us feel very welcome! Their house is very pet friendly with the toys, beds, and large fenced in backyard. So grateful to have found them, and strongly recommend them for your furry family members!”

When I went to pick them up they seemed so content and comfortable, which is a surprise as Zelos has separation anxiety in his senior years. It also helped that Kina has owned corgis in the past so she understood their little quirks. We will absolutely use her again! Zelos and Fae give 2 paws up as well and can't wait to visit again!”
