“We couldn’t be happier with Maggie as our pet sitter! From the very first meeting, it was clear how much she truly loves and understands animals. She took the time to learn about our pets’ routines, quirks, and favorite activities, and it gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in her care. While we were away, Maggie kept us updated with photos and messages, which made us feel connected and reassured. Our pets were not only well taken care of, but they were genuinely happy — tails wagging and purring when we got home. The house was just as we left it, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Maggie is reliable, kind, and attentive, and it’s obvious she treats every pet like her own. We feel so lucky to have found her, and we’ll absolutely be booking with her again.”

“Florence is Amazing!! This is our second time booking her and our pup has been more than well cared for. Shes a sweetheart that always gives detailed updates, takes lots of photos, and even gives our cats love and attention as well. Highly recommend!”

“Andrea was great with our Arlo. They became fast friends! I could tell in the video she sent, Arlo will definitely enjoy having her around. Thankful for the video and pictures, knowing Arlo was having a good time. It makes not being home, a little more bearable during the day, that I know Arlo is taken care of.”

“Thank you Maelee for coming over and grooming Sonny, and clipping his nails. He does so well with you. You are so compassionate and caring. I really appreciate you!”

“Annette was great! She watched May for three weeks while I was on a business trip. She was very responsive and always sent lots of update photos. I highly recommend her and would definitely use her again.”

“We were 6 hrs away on a holiday weekend and a power outage at home with record temps. As usual, we didn’t worry because Faith is 100% reliable. Our kitties trust her so much even the shy one treats her like family now.”

“Alexandria checked in on our two golden retrievers and was great! She was communicative, on time, and took good care of our pups! Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Alicia and her daughter were INCREDIBLE pet sitters. They were timely, communicative, gave awesome feedback, and even did an extra stop in when one of our cats potentially consumed something they shouldn’t have. Would HIGHLY recommend her to any pet parent looking for someone to take care of their babies!

Kelsey was great and already looking forward to booking her again. Upon first meeting her I could tell she was friendly and reliable. She was always quick to respond and flexible for our needs. My senior cat was happy while we were away which means she was well cared for. Reliable and responsive - that’s all we ask for and Kelsey nailed it!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jenison. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
