About: I have 6+ years experience of doggy daycare/boarding industry being a General Manager at a local facility. I would take care of 60+ dogs, senior dogs, puppies, reactive dogs, anxious dogs, noise sensitive dogs, etc. I also have 2 years experience in the vet field as an assistant/receptionist at a vet office and emergency care office. I also have experience with administering medications, cutting nails, & light grooming. I am a stay-at-home mom, so I am home all day including most weekends with my husband, Lucas. From waking up early in the morning to staying up late in the night, I’m always attentive. I have leads and leashes to walk your pet, take them out to the bathroom & even just to play outside! We love going to fields to play ball or just going on nature walks around our neighborhood. This can happen at our house or yours as well! Pets are closely monitored throughout their whole stay with me. I also have the ability to crate your pet during certain parts of the day if you wish, otherwise they will have access to most of our home if they stay here :)
“Molly was very accommodating and flexible throughout our drop in visits! We had quite a few changes in our schedule and she was kind & responsive to this throughout the weekend. Gizmo was well taken care of & enjoyed his time with her.”

“We love working with Alexandria and our pets do too. They always seem so happy when we get back and well cared for. We have several pets that need medications and just general aging. She goes above and beyond to keep them comfortable when we are away.”

“Angela was able to coax our shy kitty out of hiding when she visited. She keeps her committed time of entry and cleans the litter box as requested. If our kitties are interested, she will play with them.”

“They were amazing, beyond kind, and very responsive! They sent lots of pictures and kept up on all tasks asked! I would trust them again and again. Will be booking again for our next trip :) Thanks!”

“Abigail was great, she responded quickly and was able to take a last minute booking. She sent tons of cute photos during her time with my pup which was much appreciated. Would book again!”

“Genevieve was very prompt in her response and had great communication! My dogs were taken care of and I had no messes to clean up when I came home, which is always a plus! Would highly recommend her for your pet care needs!”

About: I’ve always had animals of my own, basically since I was old enough to walk. I started my own pet-sitting business when I was 13. I’m the go-to for friends and family when they need their babies cared for and I love every breed. I studied veterinary medicine for a number of years and have more recently begun to train dogs, as well. I work full-time but I make my own schedule. I also live just a few minutes away from my work and can pop back to my house when need be. I’m already taking care of our senior dog, our new puppy, and our two cats. I love being outside and taking the babies for walks. I have a fenced in yard as well as two other dogs and two other cats. I have a large crate as well as two portable enclosures and no shortage of extra bowls, blankets, toys, and towels. I live in a great neighborhood and there is a park a block away. It’s important to me that animals are well taken care of and I love spending extra time playing and snuggling with any babies I get to hang out with.
“I can't believe how lucky I got when I asked Hollie to take care of my pets a few months ago. I have now booked her for 3 occasions, 2 overnights, and 1 drop in. She will forever be my first pick.”

“Lexi took great care of our cat while we were gone, she is really great about sending pics & videos. It was really nice to not have to worry about leaving the cat alone because I knew she was being well taken care of. Highly recommended!”

About: Growing up, we had three dogs and two cats in our household, plus, we fostered various rescue dogs. I have the most experience with Collies, Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, and Labs. My dog, Braden, was with me for 13 years. He had epilepsy, and was a rescue. I have experience with administering oral medication for cats and dogs. I have also provided care for turtles and fish! I currently work a full time job, and I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I can provide specialized care and walk/check in on pets at most times. I can generally work from anywhere as well. I would be caring for pets at the client's house, as I rent a small apartment. My only need is somewhere to work remotely with.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Walker
Morgen was absolutely amazing. Coincidentally, she lived extremely close to my son, which made the entire process incredibly easy. Morgen always submitted photos of my son two cats to assure us, they were happy and doing well, considering the one routinely loves to hide. Morgen was also extremely respectful of my son's Vision Impairment. She left the apartment very clean, yet did not unnecessarily move anything to avoid confusion upon my son's return. Morgen was very gracious in her flexibility as we had a family emergency and needed to adjust the schedule at the last moment. I would most certainly request her again and 100% recommend her to anyone needing a loving cat sitter.

Kristina took excellent care of my very nervous cat while I was away. She was patient, attentive, and took things slowly at his pace, making great progress once he felt comfortable. Kristina consistently sent updates and asked thoughtful questions, which really put me at ease. I’ll definitely be booking her again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Walker. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
