“This was Pepper's first stay with Sherry and she didn't want to leave when I picked her up. Sherry was very flexible with drop off and pick up times and opened up her home to my baby! She was great at keeping me updated on how the stay was going and sent pictures showing that Pepper had made herself right at home. I will absolutely be using Sherry again!!”
“Dan was awesome to work with, and his dog Penny is a sweetheart that immediately welcomed my young, anxious rescue lab Goose into her home. He made sure Goose felt comfortable in the house, provided him with sufficient exercise, and sent me daily updates with pictures and videos. Highly recommend Dan to anyone in need of a sitter!”

“We left our two kittens with Jenny for two weeks and she took really good care of them, she kept us updated and sent us photos of our babies while we were away. We will definitely reach out to her whenever we require a boarding service again, we really recommend her!”

“Kalee was an amazing sitter. She was accommodating and flexible to our schedules. Kalee’s home was clean and inviting. She regularly updated our dog’s status with pictures. She went up and beyond when she realized she was running low on food. Will definitely recommend and use Kalee again when we are in the area.”

“Kijah did a great job taking care of Rocky! She was communicative, caring and sent regular photo updates to let us know he was doing well. It was nice to know he was in good hands!”

“Toby, my dearest little 8lb. Cheweenie fur baby does wonderfully with Pam and her small fur baby crew! I am so grateful to have Pam and her fur family to care for Toby. He has a blast. Pam always goes above and beyond for Toby. Moreso, Pam is very intuitive and provides for Toby his likes and preferences such as his favorite sunspot, placed bed in front of heater vent, food preferences. Huge she let's him sleep with her at night as that is what he is used to with me. Upon picking Toby up, although he is always happy to see me I can very much see he has bonded with Pam and her sweet pups and cats, making his stay very nice and positive experience. Pam and her fur babies have become like extended family as Auntie Pam and his fur cousins ❤️”

About: Hello! My name is Colleen and I want to help you with your pet care needs. I have been a dog owner for 15+ years. I’m an experienced dog sitter who loves all dogs, no matter their size or age. Whether your furry friend is a playful puppy or a gentle senior, I’m here to provide them with the care and attention they deserve. You can trust me to keep your pets happy, healthy, and well-exercised during their time with me. Please reach out if you have any questions! I work full-time in a school, so I have pretty open flexibility on weekends, holidays and longer breaks. We have two friendly dogs in the house so I am usually around the house on the weekends so the dogs can spend lots of time outside in the yard. I am comfortable using a crate and different walking and/or leash methods. I have owned dogs with big behaviors while leash walking, so I am very aware of my surroundings while I walk. I'm very careful to be present on walks for the dog's safety.
“This was Grace's first boarding experience. What a relief to know that she was well cared for. I received lots of pics and feedback. I highly recommend Susan!”

“Soly was the most thorough and detail-oriented dog sitter I have ever used; and I have used many. I was very impressed! I really enjoyed all the photos and detailed updates from him each day. Moe seemed very happy and I am grateful for the care and attention Soly gave to my best buddy. Soly's townhouse is in a great place for dogs. There was a nice walking trail and a great dog private dog park that was completely fenced in. I am confident your dog will be in great hands with Soly.”

“Fiona, our mini doxie felt right at home with Jillian and family! She received lots of love and attention and cuddles. We had complete peace of mind while we were away that she had the best of care, especially knowing our dog can be prone to anxiety in newer environments and Fiona did great and loved her time with this sweet family! We plan and hope to book again.”

“Molly was extremely helpful with it being our first time using the app. She was friendly and trustworthy with every communication, while also being very flexible with our schedule and needs.”

“Remi took such good care of Lizzy during our three day trip! She was easy to communicate with, especially ahead of time to let her know of our dog’s particular needs. She’s got a nice home in a great area for long walks. Some people just truly love dogs and Remi definitely has that energy. I’d work with her again in a heartbeat.”

“Suzy took wonderful care of Misty! She was very reassuring and sent us updates while we were gone. She walked Misty every day and spent time with her in the yard. The personal attention was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be having her care for Misty again!”

“Jenna is amazing! She was ultra responsive when it came to booking and she made it super easy. The boys absolutely loved her and had a great time. They came home all tuckered out. We can’t wait to see her again!”
“I had a terrific experience with Ryleigh and her sweet family. They were very communicative and took such great care of my pup. I highly recommend them and will be booking with them again.”

“Leeann took such great care of my girls! I loved the picture updates and attention she gave my little old ladies. She was great with the meds and special needs of my older lady. Very attentive and kind. I felt they were in excellent hands while I was away!”

Alexis took excellent care of our 2 dogs while we were gone for a week on vacation. We were a little nervous leaving them with someone new, knowing we were traveling out of the country. She communicated promptly to my inquiries and sent us numerous photos and text updates throughout the week. We were thrilled to hear that our dogs got along great with her dog and had a fun week playing together. Thank you Alexis! We will be sure to reach out for any future vacation needs!

Kirstin and Cassie were AMAZING with Duckie! he loved hanging out with them and felt super comfortable right away at our meet and greet. they were so accommodating in bringing him to our other sitter we had lined up for the rest of the time we were away. we would highly recommend Kristin, and will definitely be ask her in the future to watch our Duckie again!

My pup had another great stay with Tim's family, and their dogs! In particular they all made sure fireworks around the 4th of July wouldn't be a problem by creating a safe, calm space inside to weather all the noise outside. So thankful for such knowledgeable, thoughtful caregivers when I am away!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
