“Jenna is amazing! She was ultra responsive when it came to booking and she made it super easy. The boys absolutely loved her and had a great time. They came home all tuckered out. We can’t wait to see her again!”
“Teri was GREAT! We will definitely use her services again. We came home a day early and she refunded us for a full day. That was unexpected and very kind. I would give her more stars if I could! Thanks Teri :-)”

“Pam is AMAZING!!! She is truly an animal lover and took such great care of our Puggy. Pam sent photos and videos throughout the day so that we could see how much fun our Pug was having with her and her dogs. Pam spent a lot of time with Puggy in her lap and also allowed him to snuggle up in bed while sleeping. What a blessing to have Pam so that when we travel we know our Puggy gets to have a wonderful vacation too! Pam is so sweet & so great about communicating. We give Pam the highest recommendation possible. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟”

About: I have cared for dogs almost my whole life. I trained my first dog in doggy obedience school - I loved that so much. The dog that I currently have can follow instructions in both English and Chinese! I work in a hybrid situation with a very flexible schedule, so I am quite available. I only need to have a little advance notice so I can work it into my schedule. I will love taking your dog on walks and enjoying some fresh air together! I really value helping dogs get sunshine and exercise in their day.
“We loved having Madelyn watch our two dogs! She was great and the dogs loved her family. She gave updates on them and communicated great. We will definitely use her again!”

“Erin and Brian were great communicators and took good care of Cedar. They clearly love animals and have created a space where pups are welcome. Cedar enjoyed having playmates for the weekend and came home to us in a chipper mood. We’ll definitely plan to hire Erin and Brian again when we have future pet sitting needs.”

“We are so appreciative of Ruth and she did a wonderful job caring for our 12 week old Aussie puppy! She is conscientious and caring and did a fabulous job of keeping us updated and sending photos of our Sonny! We were so happy knowing Ruth was with our puppy when we needed to be out of town. We highly recommend booking with Ruth for your Rover needs!”

“I had a terrific experience with Ryleigh and her sweet family. They were very communicative and took such great care of my pup. I highly recommend them and will be booking with them again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was about 17. I own 1 and 1 cat. I worked at a pet store for 2 years and loved all the animals coming in and out ❤️ I Range from working part time to full time but I am very flexible! I love making and creating a scheldue to follow ! Especially for the pups I have a nice little yorkie if your pup needs a friend! Otherwise I am a great in home watcher. I also have a black cat that loves to play but not the best with bigger dogs !
“Miranda made us feel super comfortable leaving Denver in her care for the week. She had great communication, sent some updates throughout the week, and allowed us to do a quick meet & greet before our trip, and Denver and Freya got along great!”

“David provided the best care for our 2 pups! We were away for 2 weeks in which time David kept us updated on the well being of our dogs. He is a conscientious pet care provider 🐾🐾”

“Angela did a great job with my baby! First and foremost she was available at the last minute and I really appreciate it. She listened to all of my concerns, made sure I was comfortable being away from my dog and Pebbles had a great stay. She sent pictures and videos atleast once daily so that I knew things were going okay. I absolutely recommend booking her for your dog sitting needs.”

About: I have a dog-loving home with a large fenced in yard, my shitzu/chihuahua (named Chewy:) will help make your pet feel at home. We will take walks (typically two or more during a full-day stay) and love to take trips to the dog park-if you allow. I am retired and have lots of time to dedicate to your furry friend. I limit to two dogs maximum and prefer small breeds only (up to 25 lbs). In addition to daytime sitting, I will care for your pet for overnights and extended stays too! I have many years of dog care experience, caring for low maintenance dogs and those who have special dietary needs and daily medication administration. With clear instructions, I can follow your needs precisely. I require house trained pets, non destructive, other dog friendly, and up to date vaccinations. On occasion, I care for my young grandson so being child friendly is also required. I am retired! My schedule is very flexible. On Fridays I typically babysit my 2 year old grandson. If your pet is friendly with children, that is preferred, if not, and with ample notice, I can adjust my availability. I have a clean, non smoking home and love to spend time outside. Your pet will have fun running around in the fenced backyard and daily walks is how we would spend our days. Have a senior dog?? I am happy to be more low key and lounge on the couch with your pet! Just let me know how to make them feel at home.

“We loved Evvia! We knew our pups were in good hands and we enjoyed the updates that we received while we were away. We will definitely book with Evvia again!”

“Molly was extremely helpful with it being our first time using the app. She was friendly and trustworthy with every communication, while also being very flexible with our schedule and needs.”

About: I grew up with two dogs fully in my care. Throughout my childhood, from the age of 10 to 18, I dedicated myself to researching various breeds of dogs and cats, including their historical backgrounds. As a result, I am quite knowledgeable about pets and am often recognized for my patience and calm demeanor. Summer Weekday Evening Availability During the summer months, from June 7th to August 25th, I am available for pet care services from All hours, Monday through Friday. Fall/Early Winter Availability From August 24th to December 18th, I am available for pet care, including walking and sitting, on Monday through Thursday evenings starting at 6:45 PM. On Fridays, I have full-day availability, and on Saturdays, I am available from 3:00 PM onwards. Winter/Spring Availability From January 1st to May 29th, my availability for pet care on weekdays (Monday to Friday) is from 5:30 PM until the evening. On Saturdays, I am available from 3:00 PM onwards. I will dedicate my full attention to them. Soon, my home will feature a fenced yard, but for now, I will ensure they have opportunities to play outdoors, including visits to dog parks where they can fetch or simply enjoy themselves. I will attend to their needs for bathroom breaks and provide them with a designated sleeping area. For cats, I will allow them to relax peacefully at home.

“My dog, Maddie, stayed with Dan for 2 days/1 night. She was happy and tired when I picked her up at the end of her stay! Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Grandville
Ryleigh and Aaron were so great with our dog Tucker. We needed care last minute and they were great about setting up a meet and greet quickly so we could make sure it was a good fit for our family and theirs. Tucker can be shy and anxious, and they were patient and sweet with him. They were good at communicating with us, and sent us a few pictures and updates so we knew he was doing well! We definitely recommend them to others looking for care for their fur babies!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
