“Felix took amazing care of our dog, Zara. She still has a lot of puppy energy. She is a rescue and we have only had her two months so she is still working on her manners. Felix wasn’t fazed by this and was patient with her. He often also has other dogs staying with him and Zara loved getting to play in their beautiful yard. Zara felt right at home and we would recommend Felix to anyone!”

“Return customer of Pamela’s. She does a great job watching our dog and taking care of him like he was hers. Highly recommend. Our dog Oliver has always had a great time at Pamela’s.”

“Oakley loves staying with Lauren! He loves being able to run around and chill in the yard with the other low energy dogs. We love Lauren because she’s always on top of pictures of our boy for us!”

“Katherine and her family were AMAZING! They kept us posted and the communication was excellent. Our dog Nala had a really good time and definitely will bring her back to Katherine next time!!”

“Our experience with Sarah was great! This was our first time using Rover and Sarah was very accommodating. She invited us for a meet and greet before our pup’s stay, was very responsive and offered updates on how he was doing. She made us feel very comfortable and we knew our dog was in great hands.”

“Renee was able to board our 2 bulldogs over the 4th holiday on short notice and we are so grateful! She has a fenced backyard, works from home and was able to spend quality time with them so they weren't lonely. They had such big smiles on their faces the whole time. Will definitely come back on our next trip!”

“It was Renley's first time away from us. He was one tired boy when we got home. I think he was well cared for and overall had a good experience. Hopefully, as he gets older he wont be as shy and come out of his shell a bit more. Derek was reassuring and that helps a bunch. We will definitely use him again. Thank you again Derek, for taking care of Renley. Much appreciated!!”

“Jenna is amazing! She was ultra responsive when it came to booking and she made it super easy. The boys absolutely loved her and had a great time. They came home all tuckered out. We can’t wait to see her again!”
“All I have to say is when we pull up to Frances’ house ; my chocolate Lab Nell RACES to her door . She is whining when we turn the corner to her street. Nell tells me in every way a dog can that she loves staying with Frances and her family! I highly recommend them!”

About: My name is Sara and I have been an animal lover my entire life. I have had experience caring for dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and even wild animals! I have a Basset Hound named Minnow who wants to be friends with anything that moves. I can stop by your home to care for larger animals like dogs, cats, etc. But I am totally cool with your small animal (I.e. Guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, etc.) staying with me if needed. I would be honored to care for your pets, spoil them, and treat them like my own. I’m currently working full time 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. I can stop by your house to care for your animal early morning, on my lunch break, after work, and any time on the weekends. I have a safe and separate room I can place your small animal in while caring for them. A cage provided by the owner is required.
“Amber is AMAZING with our cat! She sends regular updates and is very responsive and flexible. I never have to worry about how Toothless is doing because I know how well his needs are being met when he stays with Amber ☺️”

“Christoper was fantastic with our two dogs. We use rover regularly and he has been one of the best so far. We had to book last minute for a trip to GA and he was nothing but helpful. We got regular updates and felt like the dogs were in great hands while we were miles away. They came back to us happy and in probably in better shape than when we left them. Highly recommend Christopher and his kids.”

“Will definitely be booking with Danielle again. Her and her family did a great job with my little guy. He came home happy and healthy and the communication between us while gone was great. Loved all the pics she sent us as well.”

“Dan was awesome to work with, and his dog Penny is a sweetheart that immediately welcomed my young, anxious rescue lab Goose into her home. He made sure Goose felt comfortable in the house, provided him with sufficient exercise, and sent me daily updates with pictures and videos. Highly recommend Dan to anyone in need of a sitter!”

“Our dogs came home exhausted and happy after their stay. 1 of our dogs can be a pain so an extra thanks for handling her for 2 full days while we had our wedding! Kaylee is the best!”

“Miranda made us feel super comfortable leaving Denver in her care for the week. She had great communication, sent some updates throughout the week, and allowed us to do a quick meet & greet before our trip, and Denver and Freya got along great!”

I gave Leslee a tip in person. She did another awesome job with our 2 little ones. Photos every day, great to see the snuggles. Her personality is perfect and my Chloe and Bobbi love her. Thanks again for making our trip so much easier knowing that you were caring for little ones. Ruth

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
