“Maryam came out and met Chase and I prior to her first walk with him! She was really wonderful with him and was familiar with our community so very helpful! She allowed time for Chase to sniff her and get comfortable with her while we talked. I appreciate her calm but confident presence! There first walk went great!”

About: II’ve been pet sitting for my sister for the past two years, including full week stays while her family travels. During that time, I’ve cared for her two cats – feeding, grooming, cleaning litter boxes, and giving them plenty of love and playtime. Cats are easygoing, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. I also have my own dog and cat, so I’m very comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and energy levels. I take my dog on regular walks and love bringing her to the park. Sometimes my cat even joins the adventure! My goal is simple: keep your pet happy, safe, and well cared for. I work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 3–6 pm. Outside those hours I’m available for walks, play, feeding, and maintaining your pet’s schedule; I’ll update you if anything changes. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and at home whether I’m caring for them in my space or in theirs. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible—feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddle time—so they feel relaxed and stress-free. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs, since every pet is different. I keep a clean, pet-friendly environment and always make sure doors, gates, and supplies are secure. When I’m in a client’s home, I treat it with respect and make sure everything stays neat while giving their pets plenty of love and attention. I also like to send updates and photos so owners can relax knowing their pets are happy, safe, and having fun.

I provide a safe, loving environment with a fenced yard, personalized care, and plenty of daily walks, treats, cuddles, and playtime. I’m also prepared to handle extra needs like crate training, light grooming, and senior care. Most importantly, I treat every pet like my own—giving them the attention, patience, and comfort they deserve while you’re away. 🐾 With over 25 years of hands-on pet care experience, I’ve lovingly cared for dogs of all ages—from energetic puppies to senior dogs with special needs—as well as cats and bunnies. I provide daily walks, treats, cuddles, and playtime, and treat every pet like family. 🐾 I offer a secure fenced yard for safe roaming, a heavy-duty crate available upon request, and a variety of pet-safe toys and treats. About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home with both cats and dogs, and I truly cannot imagine life without them as part of the family. That is not just something I say. It is how I live. I have had cats since I was six years old, and my wife and I have shared our home with both cats and dogs our entire adult lives. Right now, our little crew includes our ten year old dog Nara and our two younger cats, Chiri and Lulu. Living in a multi-pet household has taught me how to read different personalities, manage different energy levels, and create a calm, respectful environment where everyone feels secure. I do not see pets as property. They are sentient, emotional members of the family with their own routines, preferences, and boundaries. When I care for your pet, I approach them with patience, attentiveness, and genuine respect. I adjust to their temperament. High energy or shy. Playful or independent. Young or senior. My goal is always the same. Make them feel safe, understood, and comfortable in their own space. My wife brings years of pet sitting experience and previously worked as a dog trainer and consultant. I have learned a great deal from her about behavior, structure, positive reinforcement, and how to respond calmly in different situations. That experience has shaped how I show up with animals. Steady. Observant. Consistent. When caring for your pets, I focus on: • Keeping routines consistent • Providing appropriate play and enrichment • Maintaining clean food, water, and litter areas • Offering calm companionship when that is what they need • Sending thoughtful updates and photos so you feel completely at ease Leaving your pets in someone else’s care requires trust. I take that responsibility seriously. I will treat your pets the way I treat my own. With patience, kindness, and real affection. If you are looking for someone who understands that your pets are family, I would love to help. 🐾 My schedule is flexible, which allows me to give your pet the time and attention they deserve. I focus on keeping their routine consistent, with regular potty breaks, play when they’re up for it, and plenty of companionship rather than quick, rushed visits. I’m available for afternoon and evening visits, weekend care, overnight stays in your home, house sitting, and extended care when needed. Whether your pet needs a few check-ins during the day, weekend coverage, or overnight care, I’m happy to work around what fits best for you. I aim to be present, attentive, and easy to communicate with, and I’ll send regular updates so you can feel confident your pet is comfortable and well cared for. If you have specific timing or needs, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to find a setup that works well for you and your pets. 🐾 Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for your pets, whether in your home or mine. In your home, I focus on keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, walking preferences, and any household guidelines you provide. I’m attentive to details like doors, gates, leashes, and secure areas so your pet stays safe at all times, and I treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own. My approach is calm, patient, and low-stress. I use fear-free handling techniques and pay close attention to behavior and subtle changes, especially for pets who may be more sensitive or require extra care. I’m also certified in Dog CPR & First Aid, so I’m prepared to recognize and respond appropriately if any concerns arise. I believe in clear, proactive communication. If anything seems off, I’ll reach out right away so you always feel informed and at ease. I aim to create an environment where every pet feels safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. They’re family, and I treat them that way. 🐾
“Dawnn is so nice! She came short notice to meet us a few days before Mazie’s walk. My dog immediately loves her! She sent pics and an update during the walk. Would love to book again if there is a need!”

“Kelsey has been a huge help for our family. We got a new pup this summer and as a teacher I was nervous about leaving her at home all day for the first time. Our high energy vizsla girl very much enjoys her 30 minute walk each day with Kelsey. I would recommend her services to my friends and neighbors.”

“My old pup can be anxious and ramped up with care givers so I am delighted that he was calm with Tyler. I will definitely have Tyler take care of my fur babe again knowing I can depend on him and will not be stressed while on vacation.”

About: I’ve had the privilege of helping out with walks, dog sitting, and overall care of many furry friends of those around me for as long as I can remember. Growing up I’d help family friends, family members, and neighbors with their pets, and continued to do so throughout high school, and now college. Although pets are a no go in my immediate family, I love being around pets and enjoy every second I can get with them! I’m currently a college student who works part time, meaning I have plenty of time on my hands to help out where needed. The luxury of a college schedule, besides the homework, is that I can be flexible and open to odd hours throughout the week! I’ve always been easily adaptable to the habits and routines that were required in each household that I’ve helped out, so keeping that trend won’t be a problem at all!
About: I’ve been working as a professional pet sitter and dog walker for over seven years. I’ve been howled at, licked, bitten, pooped and peed on, dragged into a lake, growled at, barked at...and I will always be up for more! I live in Grandville with my two children (18 and 12) who are also animal lovers. We also have a senior Maltese Yorkie Shitzhu mix named Irie, who is a grumpy old man and a ferocious beast (he thinks). I work full-time as a marketing consultant. I love to play with dogs for exercise and as a reminder to not take life so seriously! Sometimes communicating with animals is much easier than communicating with humans! :)
About: I grew up around dogs and now have two cats! My love for animals began when I was three years old and my mom brought home our first family dog, Blossom. Over the past twenty years, we have been lucky to know and love seven dogs and know how to provide proper care. I am no stranger to giving pets medicine, senior care, or puppy care. As an adult, I welcomed my first cat, Corn, into my life. From there, I adopted two other sweet cats named Barry and Bert who are a loving and goofy addition to our home. I am a high school history teacher out for the summer! I know how important it is to keep your pets' schedules; they have needs that need to me met, too! I am happy to work with your schedule and I am flexible with dates and times when needed. Should you trust me with your pet, I will provide them with the most comfort possible! It isn't easy when we have to leave our pets, so I am happy to provide any photo updates during our visits and daily feedback on how your pet is doing! Should you choose to board your cat with us, they will have their own separate suite to decompress, relax, and unwind while you are gone!
About: I’ve been helping my parents raise dogs since I was around 10 years old, our first dog being a collie we rescued as she wasn’t being treated well with her initial owners. We took her in and got her cleaned up, took care of the fleas she had, found her a good diet, and gave her lots of love and attention through it all. We took her on camping trips, out on the water to go fishing, out on walks and to get pup cups at the ice cream shop, her favorite place being my granny’s house. Alongside her, we raised three more dogs when they were puppies, each one two years apart. 2 of them are Australian shepherds, and one is a husky, all girls and grew to form their own little pack, respecting each other’s place and playing happily in a big fenced in back yard. We supported our collie till her last breath as she was elderly, and even as she was so old, she always had her usual, laid back and quirky personality. Even now, I continue to help my parents take care of our dogs, as they’re not just pets, they’re our family, our fur babies, even in they’re old stages of life, they’ll always be our little babies in our hearts. So rest assured, your fur baby will be 110% safe and cared for with me, maybe even a bit spoiled! LIFE UPDATE!!! I’ve been hired as a camp counselor at Camp Bow Wow, a doggy day care and overnight boarding facility! Right now I have training scheduled from June 30 to July 2 and July 6, all for days I’ll be unavailable from 11 am to 3 pm. Once I’m done with training, I should hopefully be getting a work schedule that I will use to update my scheduling here on Rover! So please forgive me for the next couple of weeks while I get everything settled! With specific instructions written on paper, I have no issues accommodating to your pet’s needs in your home! I’m respectful during visits in others homes, treating them as my own and keeping spaces clean and tidy. With proper cleaning tools, I can clean up accidents on hard surfaces or rugs, I may need a demonstration on how to use a specific cleaning machine or vacuum depending on how complicated it is. I’m not allergic to any animal, or any breed, so pet hair doesn’t bother me! If need be, I am able to administer oral medications with proper instruction and demonstration. On walks I make sure to keep dogs close to me and away from the road, I carry doggy bags, and on hot days, I’ll carry a little folded up bowl that I can poor water in, so your baby stays hydrated!

About: As a life-long pet owner, I’ve loved our pets through rambunctious puppy-hood and curious kittens all the way through tender care as they’ve crossed the rainbow bridge. I currently have an elderly dog named Callie and 2 lovable kittens named Mustard and Relish. As a family, we volunteer to clean and feed the cats at Grandville’s Community Cat Crew every weekend. I’m excited to love and care for your pets the same as I do our own! I work in the schools, so during the summers and on the weekends, I’m available and flexible to meet the needs of your pets— early mornings, late nights, multiple times a day, I’m here! I approach each pet based on their response— if they are excited and rambunctious, I will jump in and play and walk. If they are cautious and reserved, I will take the time to patiently wait for them to approach me for love and care.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Byron Center
This past week was my first time utilizing Rover and I feel like I hit the jackpot with Carli. I work long days and Carli has been coming over in the mornings to walk my dog Ding. From the get go Carli has been nothing but professional, kind, and very easy to work with, and it’s really out my mind at ease as far as leaving for work every day. Carli even went above and beyond one morning when Ding had a very minor emergency and hung out until I was able to get home. It’s very apparent she cares very much for the animals she’s taking care of. We really appreciate you Carli!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
