Kelsey has been a huge help for our family. We got a new pup this summer and as a teacher I was nervous about leaving her at home all day for the first time. Our high energy vizsla girl very much enjoys her 30 minute walk each day with Kelsey. I would recommend her services to my friends and neighbors.

Jasmine is an awesome dog walker! She was very attentive and left some of the best notes I've ever had from a dog walker/sitter, which I really appreciated. She also used rover cards, which helps a ton, so I know where Moe walked and how far during the day. 10/10 will use again. I can also tell she has a lot of good experience working with animals. Thanks Jasmine!

About: I have been caring for and loving dogs and cats for my whole life but have been doing pet sitting for the past 6 years! No longer having one of my own, I have a very open schedule and love to spend my time keeping your fur babies company! My favorite past times include walking and curling up with a good book and would love the opportunity to include your sweet pets! I do remote work right now so I have a lot of free time to spend with your fur babies! I am available for home stays or drop-ins of any length, and love to fill my time with sweet animals of all types and personalities! I am a very active person and love long walks but also love to curl up and cuddle with your fur babies on the couch with a good book. I can fit in wherever and however your pet will be most comfortable. I am capable of crating animals and also love to cuddle up with them, I am punctual and communicative and want to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible!

About: Every dog is has their own personality. It’s more than dog sitting, it’s building a connection. In the past, I’ve taken care of multiple dogs at one time, each one with different needs. Whether it was making sure they took their medication or sitting with them while they ate. Catering to each dog and what they need is something very important to me. I’m currently home from college and don’t have any regular commitments. My plans vary depending on the week but as your dog sitter your dogs will be my priority. I know how important a routine and schedule can be for a dog, taking them out to potty every certain number of hours or feeding them at specific times.

About: I’ve had my own and taken care of friends and families pets all my life. I love to take them for walks, give them lots of love and treat them as my own. I work part time from home and I set my own schedule. I have 2 small dogs and a cat. I am up early every day and I am able to be home with the pets to give them a lot of attention and take care of their needs. I have two small dogs and a cat. My home is set up for pets and they are able to play on the furniture, take naps, go for long walks on my 1 acre property and plenty of room to play. I do have a medium sized crate to use for any pets that need it. I have 3 dogs now that I take care of off and on over the last couple of years. They always love to come back and think of my home as a second home. I work from home most days. My evenings and weekends are free. Pets always get a lot of attention and love when in my care. I always make sure pets feel safe and loved. I love to play with them and go outside. When at my home pets are treated as family and love to sleep on the couch or find a favorite chair.

Genesis was awesome and went above and beyond. One of my pups had ACL surgery 4 weeks ago and needs a bit of extra help. Genesis was very patient and took the extra time with her even though she was a little stubborn. She kept me informed when she was arriving and all throughout the visit. My Gracie wanted all the pets she could get from her.

  • 98% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
