Safety, trust & environment

I work to build animal relationships based on trust, leadership, and consistency. I wait for animals to ask for attention, give them time/space to make choices, investigate new things, and use positive reinforcement to promote good/responsive behavior.

Information Anne F. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any specific routines, behavioral issues or health concerns that I should be aware of or would like to discuss. I am happy to work with you to address these, and reinforce training routines/programs you have in place.

A typical day

I provide dogs with both mental and physical stimulation using toys, food puzzles, training, and neighborhood walks. I especially enjoy working with rescues, and shy/anxious dogs to develop their confidence through consistent and patient communication, rewarding positive choices, maintaining a calm environment, and slow introduction to new experiences.

Anne did great with both our boys. They can be a lot to handle. Each reactive in their own ways, but Anne was well equipped to handle them.

Anne is an unmatched pet parent and dedicated caregiver! I've known her for 25 years, and am so grateful to call her a friend. Anne has immense experience as a dog mom, and petsat for me for a week when I was out of town, and provided excellent care to my birds, reptiles, and fish.

Anne has spent a large amount of time learning how to handle dogs in a respectful and safe way. She volunteers at a rescue for high risk dogs and owns one from the rescue as well. She has spent countless hours learning to read the dogs body language, training, and loving all of them in their different ways. I think she would make a great person for this kind of job!
