Familiar with dog body language and behavior. ‘B’ level volunteer at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. 6+ years experience with shy/anxious dogs, leash/gate/door manners, desensitization, muzzle, and crate training.

I work to build animal relationships based on trust, leadership, and consistency. I wait for animals to ask for attention, give them time/space to make choices, investigate new things, and use positive reinforcement to promote good/responsive behavior.

Anne did great with both our boys. They can be a lot to handle. Each reactive in their own ways, but Anne was well equipped to handle them.
Anne is an unmatched pet parent and dedicated caregiver! I've known her for 25 years, and am so grateful to call her a friend. Anne has immense experience as a dog mom, and petsat for me for a week when I was out of town, and provided excellent care to my birds, reptiles, and fish.
Anne has spent a large amount of time learning how to handle dogs in a respectful and safe way. She volunteers at a rescue for high risk dogs and owns one from the rescue as well. She has spent countless hours learning to read the dogs body language, training, and loving all of them in their different ways. I think she would make a great person for this kind of job!

Schedule
April thru October 2026: I am available after 3pm on weekdays, and all-day/overnight most weekends. Lunchtime drop-ins available for returning clients near Garfield Park on a case-by-case basis.
