“Becki was super responsive and kept us updated with all the pictures during our week away. Arya was happy and well cared for the entire time!”

“Holly took great care of my German Shepherd while I was away. She shared videos and pictures all weekend and kept up great communication. I would gladly work with her again.”
“Kyle was awesome. He sent regular updates & photos. The boys seemed like they didn’t even miss me when I got back they were so well taken care of! I knew they were in great hands. He followed my care instructions as well. He left my home cleaner than when I left.”

“I do not know where to start other than Hillary went above and beyond for my furbabies Piper and Paislee. The night before Hillary was suppose to come stay at the house Paislee became very ill and was at emergency vet from 615pm until 6 am. I explained everything that was going on to Hillary and for not ever watching Piper and Paislee she was very attentive to Paislee as we had to leave 2.5 hours after getting her home to the airport. I cooked everything I needed and left all medications on the counter and let her know the times of next doses. She seemed comfortable with everything and I couldn’t have been lucky enough to find her. She used her best judgment and I couldn’t have been anymore blessed with her caring PIper and Paislee. I was able to get updates about every other day due to our traveling plans. I let her know many times how grateful I was. Then I came home to a beautiful letter and she washed all the blankets from the dogs, towels, and the guest room bedding. She do not have to do that but I am grateful. Hillary went way above and beyond caring for our dogs. Thank you Hillary from the bottom rny heart!!!!!!!!”

“Skyler was Great! She was quick to respond and made the entire process very easy! My puppy is only 10 weeks old and she took very good care of her, taking her outside to the bathroom and giving her lots of love! She always sent photos of my puppy throughout the night to keep me updated on how she was doing! Which held ease my nerves about leaving her for work at such a young age. I will definitely be booking again with Skyler :)”

“Kelsey went above & beyond with my dog, Nalah!! She took her to the dog park, for multiple walks, and sent photo and video updates throughout the day. My dog was smiling ear to ear in each photo- Highly recommend. Will def be using Kelsey again!!”

“Lillie was an exceptional communicator before and during the stay with our dog. The house was picked up and in order when we returned home. Our dog was very comfortable with Lillie. Lillie assured us that all was well while we were gone. We will hire Lillie again!”

“Andrea took such great care of my dog, who after the weekend was happily tired out and had obviously gotten lots of love and cuddles! Andrea was also respectful of my home, leaving towels hung up, and cleaning up after Enola in the back yard. 10/10 reccomend!”

“Maegan did a great job. She stayed with our dogs for 10 days and we could not have asked for more. Our dogs were well cared for and our house looked better than we left it. We are very pleased with the service she provided.”

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life, from my own cats to family dogs, goats, sheep, and chickens. I’m comfortable with both large and small breeds, including American Bulldogs, cattle dogs, and Bernese Mountain Dogs. I enjoy getting to know each pet’s routine and personality, whether they are playful, energetic, shy, or more laid-back. I currently work from home and have flexibility for weekday afternoon check-ins, walks, feeding visits, and playtime. My typical availability is Monday through Friday from 3–6 p.m., with weekend availability as needed. As I begin graduate school, I will be working part-time and will keep my calendar updated with any schedule changes. I prioritize each pet feeling safe and comfortable with me before expecting interaction. With cats, I stay low to the ground, move calmly, and let them approach at their own pace. With dogs, I follow the owner’s routine closely and adjust to their personality, whether they need a calm companion, structured care, or more active play and walks.
“Tayler did a great job watching our dog and two cats while we were gone! She was quick to respond when I messaged her and you can tell she cares about your pets.”

“Michaela was attentive to the dogs and sent pictures and updates. She also had my extremely skittish dog coming to her voluntarily to be petted, which almost ever happens in a week. The house was picked up and clean. Definitely highly recommend Michaela and hope to have her watch our dogs again!”

About: I am in my senior year at Grand Valley State University as a Fine Arts Major. I feel that my love of animals and flexible college schedule would be a great fit for offering pet sitting services! I grew up with our family dog that we sadly put down right before I left for college. I miss having a pet around and would love the companionship as well as extra income for tuition. I love dogs and cats and will give them the love and attention as if they were my own. I am a self starter and able to comply with any special needs or requirements for your furry family member! I am very flexible currently during the summer months to fit most requests. During the school year Friday-Sunday is wide open, with potential ability various times through the week. Proximity to Allendale during school months also gives added flexibility. Overnights are always a possibility. I very much appreciate the space of my clients and their privacy. I try to ensure that when I stay in a clients home that I leave it in the same condition or better than when I found it. I want limit any disruption to your furry family member as much as possible. I know how important it is to follow any rules/procedures put in place for the safety of your pet and your property.
About: I have an open schedule besides classes that get done early. I grew up with multiple cats and had a Great Dane when I was little. Being a college student, I have flexibility that can help with pet care. Most of my classes are before noon so that frees up a lot of time. Of course simply feeding them and making sure they use the bathroom, but beyond that playing with them and being a human presence in the room so they have a friend.

“Kate was great! She was available last-minute on a holiday weekend and she was flexible with her arrival and departure times. She communicated with me throughout her stay, sending photos and letting me know how my pets were doing. When we arrived home, our house was just as we left it and our pets were happy!”

“Kristin took great care of our elderly dog who required medication management and dog walks. She stayed overnight and when we returned our pet and home were well taken care of!”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Wyoming is $45

Kyle may be a miracle worker, because he got my cat, who has a TBI and is very skittish, to fall in love with him on the second day of his care. I am very glad I found and booked this guy. I especially liked his updates to keep me in the loop, it gave me a lot of peace of mind. I care very much for my cat, and I am thankful she made a friend.

Skyler was great with our shy pup and we knew he was in good hands. Skyler sent several updates during the overnight stay and we were very comfortable our boy was receiving great care. We are booking Skyler again in the coming weeks for a longer stay. Thank you!

Michelle took great care of our two golden retrievers while we were away. It was quite a week...severe thunderstorm warning. tornado warning, power outage, sick pup, changes in travel plans.... and yet she handled everything beautifully. Michelle is a great communicator and followed our instructions perfectly. She is a favorite and I hope we can work together again soon.
Fantastic experience! I’m a dog trainer and my dogs are basically my children, so I’m picky about who I allow to watch my house & my girls. My girls were very well cared for and I received daily updates with pictures, and my house was well cared for as well. Highly recommend!!

He was great sitter for our dog and cat. The cat was happy, relaxed, and clearly loved all the extra attention, while our dog — who is usually shy around new people — warmed up almost immediately. We received regular updates, photos, and messages that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. They followed all feeding instructions, kept everything tidy, and treated our pets like family.

We had Elyse look after our two cats and our house for two weeks while we were out of the country. Everything went great with communication and following the instructions I left. I appreciated getting updates and photos from time to time. This was our first time using Rover and everything went smoothly.

Hannah was wonderful with our fur babies. I had a short notice trip and Hannah made herself available for a meet and greet before we left. We have a pretty extensive care list for our pets and she asked good questions during the meet & greet and loved on the fur babies while she was here. Her responses to messages are prompt and thorough. She sent lots of photos (each pet 2x per day) which let us know she was taking good care of our pets. The house looked nice and clean upon our return. I'm adding Hannah to my list of regulars to use for pet sitting and look forward to using her again.

Alexandria did a great job staying in our home and watching all three of our animals! She arrived on time to both the meet and greet and sit, and sent updates to let me know my animals were in good hands. She also left our house clean. We will definitely use her again in the future, and her recommend her services!

Phoebe is awesome! She took such great care of our pets and even gave me back my house cleaner than I have it to her. Lol. She was very communicative, self assured, and just an amazing sitter. We cannot recommend her enough and we are hoping to rebook her in the future. Thank you Phoebe!

Claire is by far the best of the best! She took wonderful care of my senior kitty Cali 💕 She sent me follow ups, videos and photos with updates of how she was doing while I was away. I also appreciated that Claire has a background of working in veterinary medicine and was able to give my cat her scheduled daily medication without a problem! I will 100% be rebooking with Claire and cannot recommend her enough!

I booked a very! last minute overnight house-sitting job with Katherine and she was wonderful! Quick response time, squeezed in time for a meet and greet. Pets were happy and house looked great upon our return. She sent photos and updates several times so I knew all was well with the fur babies at home. Will definitely use Katherine again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Wyoming on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wyoming walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wyoming maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wyoming choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
