“Jayme was great in coming through after I had a last minute cancellation! It was very clear from the moment I dropped miles off that he would be spoiled all week. Her entire family was great with him, and definitely kept him busy. Loved the updates throughout the week as well! Will definitely book again!”
“Molly was wonderful and took great care of my spunky toy aussie! My dog got along great with Molly’s dog, and my dog doesn’t always get along well with bigger dogs. Molly sent pictures and made me feel at ease while I was away. She also took my dog on plenty of walks, so my pup was tuckered out when she got home. Highly recommend Molly’s services!”

“Erin and Brian were great communicators and took good care of Cedar. They clearly love animals and have created a space where pups are welcome. Cedar enjoyed having playmates for the weekend and came home to us in a chipper mood. We’ll definitely plan to hire Erin and Brian again when we have future pet sitting needs.”

“Ru was amazing! She didn't hesitate to agree to board my three month old Frenchie, and was super accommodating about last minute changes when we had a huge snag in our trip. Thanks for everything!”

About: I grew up with two dogs fully in my care. Throughout my childhood, from the age of 10 to 18, I dedicated myself to researching various breeds of dogs and cats, including their historical backgrounds. As a result, I am quite knowledgeable about pets and am often recognized for my patience and calm demeanor. Summer Weekday Evening Availability During the summer months, from June 7th to August 25th, I am available for pet care services from All hours, Monday through Friday. Fall/Early Winter Availability From August 24th to December 18th, I am available for pet care, including walking and sitting, on Monday through Thursday evenings starting at 6:45 PM. On Fridays, I have full-day availability, and on Saturdays, I am available from 3:00 PM onwards. Winter/Spring Availability From January 1st to May 29th, my availability for pet care on weekdays (Monday to Friday) is from 5:30 PM until the evening. On Saturdays, I am available from 3:00 PM onwards. I will dedicate my full attention to them. Soon, my home will feature a fenced yard, but for now, I will ensure they have opportunities to play outdoors, including visits to dog parks where they can fetch or simply enjoy themselves. I will attend to their needs for bathroom breaks and provide them with a designated sleeping area. For cats, I will allow them to relax peacefully at home.
“David was great! He treated my dog like he was family. I had absolute faith that my dog was right at home and all his needs were being met. I knew that I could leave my dog, with high needs and a big personality, in his care and he’d be in great hands. He sent updates & photos as well. Highly recommend!!”

“Angie and her family have watched my dog a couple of times, and it’s very clear she and the kids give him all the attention and care he needs. During our most recent stay, we had a snow storm, that delayed our pick up, and Angie was understanding and responsive. Thanks Angie!”

“Megan was great updating us with her observations of Gypsy (our Doberman) along with pictures of activities they were doing. We will definitely be a return client and recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable caring sitter for your fur baby!”

“Melissa is the best. Communication was awesome! Melissa sent pics on a regular and kept us updated how things were going. Obviously our dog loved her and her home, because she would have stayed!”

“Leslie is so patient and kind! It sounded like my dog was a little more rowdy than usual (suspecting due to new medication she was placed on) and Leslie appropriately reached out to check if I had tips or tricks to make her feel more comfortable. She reassured me many times to not worry, which was nice to hear she had the situation under control! Would definitely trust Leslie again to watch my dog!”

“Diana did an amazing job with my dog, Fuji! I had pretty short notice for a nearly 1 week long vacation and she was able to accommodate me without issue. Fuji was immediately very comfortable with Diana, and she looked very very happy and was smiling in all the pictures and videos I was sent. Diana had great communication and was constantly updating me, so I never had any worries about how Fuji was doing while I was away. I felt very comfortable and confident with the care Fuji received, she came home happy and healthy! I will definitely be booking Diana again the next time that I need a sitter. Thank you so much!!!”

“Kelly was GREAT with Howard! I was a little nervous about a house with a few pets already, but they hit it off GREAT and let him burn off some steam. Loved receiving happy pictures of my pup getting just as many belly rubs and play time (if not more) than he gets at home. Thanks for taking such wonderful care of my dog!”

“Kijah was so friendly and communicative. Louie received excellent care and made so many friends! I had a scheduling blip and needed to extend the time last minute and Kijah was really flexible.”

“Krysten took our dogs in on a last minute booking after our other plans fell through. Everything was wonderful. Great communication and just an overall pleasant experience. We will definitely be back :)”

“Dan and Kelly were amazing with our two dogs!! This is our first time using Rover and also our first time leaving our pups with someone who wasn’t our family, they are 8 & 9. Though we were fairly short notice, Dan helped walk us through the Rover process, allowed us to do a meet and greet ahead of time, and was very flexible with drop off and pick up. Not knowing how our dogs would do as a first time away from us with non-family, there was a lot of anxiety on our side and it all was put to rest with videos and pictures of our pups having a great time there! There’s no doubt our dogs have some quirks but Dan and Kelly took amazing care of them and made them/us feel very welcome! Their house is very pet friendly with the toys, beds, and large fenced in backyard. So grateful to have found them, and strongly recommend them for your furry family members!”

“Miranda made us feel super comfortable leaving Denver in her care for the week. She had great communication, sent some updates throughout the week, and allowed us to do a quick meet & greet before our trip, and Denver and Freya got along great!”

“110% recommend!! Lindsay and her family loved our puppy like he was part of their family! We got daily updates and pictures and it felt great to know that our puppy was safe and having a blast while we were away!! I will definitely book again with Lindsay anytime we need help with our puppy!!”

“Noodle LOVES Chris and Vashti! I was concerned about leaving him with someone I don’t know. They sent several videos, texts, and photos. I trust them 100% with our sweet little guy. He has now stayed with them three different times and is always well taken care of.”

About: I have cared for dogs almost my whole life. I trained my first dog in doggy obedience school - I loved that so much. The dog that I currently have can follow instructions in both English and Chinese! I work in a hybrid situation with a very flexible schedule, so I am quite available. I only need to have a little advance notice so I can work it into my schedule. I will love taking your dog on walks and enjoying some fresh air together! I really value helping dogs get sunshine and exercise in their day.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
