“Laura and her family were great! Awesome communication and you can tell they truly love your dog as if they are their own. We will definitely be using her again in the future. Excellent choice for boarding your dog! 5 Stars!!”

“Pam is fabulous and our dog had the best time at her house full of other furry friends! Pam sent several photos and updates each day, ensuring that Taco was being well cared for and having a good time. Our dog came home exhausted after a weekend playing with the other dogs, chasing squirrels around the yard, and searching for the coziest spot in Pam’s house. We’ll definitely rebook Pam in the future!”

“Maggie was responsive and welcoming. She communicated throughout the week with pictures and videos. Our dog clearly had a fun time with her dog and family and even kept up with her normal eating routine unlike when we have had her boarded at a kennel. We will definitely use Maggie again and highly recommend her.”

“Félix is beyond AMAZING ! He has such a beautiful heart and Love for dogs. I took my Shelby over for a meet and greet. I had never left her before and was very anxious about having to leave her for such a long time- 3 weeks. Anxious being an understatement. But I left the meet and greet 100% certain that she would be loved, spoiled and incredibly well taken care of. And she was. When I picked her up, she was happy and healthy and I could feel the bond that had formed between them. Felix was so wonderful about keeping me updated. He sent lots of photos and videos, took her on long walks every day, and has a huge fenced in backyard where she could run off her energy. I highly recommend Felix, would Absolutely leave my little girl with him again. I can’t imagine that there is anyone out there who could possibly do as well of a job or a better job of loving and caring for my best friend. I wouldn’t even consider leaving her with anyone else because I have found the very best in Felix.”

“We are very happy with the care our two boys received. They stayed for a week and we could tell they had a good time. We received updates and pictures through the stay. Terry even helped with our very picky eater who required more attention. We will be back the next time! Thank you so much ! ❤️”

“Jenn is incredible! Her and her family's love for animals really shines through. She is very responsive to messages and sent updates and pictures during my dog's 3 days stay with her. I will absolutely book with Jenn the next time my family is out of town. 10/10... thanks Jenn!!!”

“Dan was awesome to work with, and his dog Penny is a sweetheart that immediately welcomed my young, anxious rescue lab Goose into her home. He made sure Goose felt comfortable in the house, provided him with sufficient exercise, and sent me daily updates with pictures and videos. Highly recommend Dan to anyone in need of a sitter!”

“Susan cared for my timid Golden while I had surgery. It's so good to have someone that I trust to love and care for my companion while I'm not available. One less stress!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, currently have a rescue that is a Cur/Dalmatian mix. I fostered a German Shepherd and just found him his forever home! My previous pup was a pure bred red-nose pit! I work from home so am available for all needs! And yes, my dog does sleep on my bed! Lots of outdoor toys to tire them out! I have a fenced in yard and a “puppy pool” for those hot days! I live in a quiet neighborhood with an excellent dog walking route, even have a neighbor who put out dog treats in a mailbox for frequent walkers!
“Molly was extremely helpful with it being our first time using the app. She was friendly and trustworthy with every communication, while also being very flexible with our schedule and needs.”

“This was my first time using Rover and had a great experience. Sarah took wonderful care of our dog for three days in her home. She was so kind and accommodating (and super easy to communicate with!). Her home had a great fenced in yard and from the pictures she sent me while we were away - could tell my dog was very happy and content. Highly recommend, Sarah!”

“Molly is loving her time at Caroline’s and the peace of mind we have knowing she is safe means EVERYTHING to us. Thank you Caroline for caring for our baby so well!”

“I couldn’t be more impressed with Sabrina’s care for my dog, Sophie. From the start, Sabrina was attentive, easy to reach, and communicated clearly throughout Sophie’s stay. She went above and beyond, frequently sending photos and videos that let me see just how much fun Sophie was having. It was reassuring and heartwarming to know Sophie was in such good hands. But what really sets Sabrina apart is the special touch she adds. She created these amazing custom magnetic photos that perfectly captured Sophie’s experience and her wonderful personality. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture that I never expected! Sabrina exceeded every expectation, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.”

“Katherine was excellent with our black lab! Even with a fairly short notice, she and her family welcomed her and took great care of her over the weekend. Would book again!”

“Jenna is amazing! She was ultra responsive when it came to booking and she made it super easy. The boys absolutely loved her and had a great time. They came home all tuckered out. We can’t wait to see her again!”
“Paige does an amazing job with our lab, Ike. He loves that he plays out in the big back yard that is safely fenced to play!! Page also has Ike rest/relax as part of the family and chill. Ike really enjoys his visit to stay at Paige’s house. ?”

“My dog is so eager to stay that he jumps out of the car ahead of me and runs to her door. Rachel is truly a dog lover, but also knowledgeable about their training and health needs. She really makes it possible for me to have a dog and still have a life!”

We left our pug with Sherri and her family and were so happy we did! Sherri took exceptional care of our pet and we could tell that she was in such good hands. I highly recommend Sherri. She was exceedingly conscientious and caring and Junebug came back to us happy and healthy!!

Averi was excellent with our boy Squid. He can be a bit timid and anxious, so we were nervous leaving him for a few days, but Averi’s confidence set us at ease. She was very communicative and made sure he got plenty of exercise, entertainment, and snuggles. She let him warm up at his own pace and it was clear he appreciated that. She even hand fed him food when he was too timid to eat. She was easy to work with and flexible when scheduling, as our needs were slightly outside her availability. We will absolutely book her again next time we need a dog sitter! Thank you Averi!

Laura was great! We have a new 6 week old baby and needed to travel to family for the first time and didn’t have enough room yet for pup in the car. As my first baby before my real baby, she made sure to keep me updated with my always-on anxiety! He also loved having with the kids and was ready to sleep when he got back.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
