“Tatyana did such an amazing job watching my pup, Pudge! She regularly sent me photos and cute videos and made sure that I knew he was loved and cared for while I was away. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter for their dog! I'll be using her services again and again. Thanks Tatyana!”

“Wow, Marissa is the best. We got photos frequently and reports of how our furry friend was doing. She was very responsive and flexible with our crazy work schedules. Best sitter ever!”

“Jacob was wonderful and easy to work with and our dog loved his stay! Jacob starts off with a meet and greet to make sure your pet meshes well with his dogs and I think he did a great job slowly introducing each of his dogs to Thor. Jacob watched Thor over the Fourth of July and although Thor doesn’t mind fireworks he mentioned that they do have thunder vests in case Thor got anxious. Jacob sent pictures throughout the stay and was easy to communicate with. We will definitely be rebooking!”

“Laura and her family were great! Awesome communication and you can tell they truly love your dog as if they are their own. We will definitely be using her again in the future. Excellent choice for boarding your dog! 5 Stars!!”

“Janelle is outstanding. We have used rover in many states during our travels through the last several years as full time travelers and Janelle is the best!! Great communication and care. Would seek her out whenever possible.”

“Jenna is amazing! She was ultra responsive when it came to booking and she made it super easy. The boys absolutely loved her and had a great time. They came home all tuckered out. We can’t wait to see her again!”
“Caroline was great, super flexible with my schedule after several last min changes! And I believe my baby had a wonderful time at her house with her fur baby ?? will definitely reach out again for more services!”
“Molly was extremely helpful with it being our first time using the app. She was friendly and trustworthy with every communication, while also being very flexible with our schedule and needs.”

“couldn't be happier with the help Melvin and his partner gave us, we were at a bind and they came to the rescue! On top of that our Moka was treated like family and they sent pictures regularly, we will definitely ask for their help later on. 1000% recommended !”

“David was great! He treated my dog like he was family. I had absolute faith that my dog was right at home and all his needs were being met. I knew that I could leave my dog, with high needs and a big personality, in his care and he’d be in great hands. He sent updates & photos as well. Highly recommend!!”

“Will definitely be booking with Danielle again. Her and her family did a great job with my little guy. He came home happy and healthy and the communication between us while gone was great. Loved all the pics she sent us as well.”

“It’s always great having peace of mind when we drop our dog off here. We have used Pam Several times and we have always been happy with her services and updates”

“Amber is AMAZING with our cat! She sends regular updates and is very responsive and flexible. I never have to worry about how Toothless is doing because I know how well his needs are being met when he stays with Amber ☺️”

“Amy did a wonderful job looking after our Beagle, Harvey for an extended weekend away. She was particularly good at giving us updates on how the dogs were doing throughout the weekend”

“Maggie was responsive and welcoming. She communicated throughout the week with pictures and videos. Our dog clearly had a fun time with her dog and family and even kept up with her normal eating routine unlike when we have had her boarded at a kennel. We will definitely use Maggie again and highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was young and have experience taking care of a variety of breeds. We have a safe, caring environment for pups that will make them feel like they are at home! My husband works from home during the week, and at least one of us is home on the weekends. We have flexible schedules that fit with a variety of pet care needs. We have a Shih Tzu, Woodson, that stays on our main floor with us most times. We do not have a fenced in yard, so we let him out on a leash. We live in a small neighborhood with little traffic. It is ideal for taking dogs on walks, and our neighbors either leash their dogs or have electric fences. Very safe!

“We do so appreciate O’Hara being able to take our booking last minute. She kept us informed every day. Tissot took to her right away and seemed to really enjoy his time there. She gave him lots of love and attention for the several days he boarded. And he and her dogs got along great!”

“Marc provided excellent care to our dog while we were away. He sent lots of pictures and updates. It was really great to not worry and we will definitely schedule with Marc again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ada
We recently had the pleasure of leaving our dog with Lindsey and her family, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, Lindsey’s communication was wonderful, keeping us updated and sending adorable photos daily. It can be stressful leaving your furry family member behind, but Lindsey and her family created such a warm, welcoming environment that we felt completely comfortable the entire time we were away. Our pup came home happy and well-cared for. We would definitely rebook with Lindsey in a heartbeat. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a loving, reliable sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
