“This is my second time using Ashleigh this year and she and her sister always takes such great care of my girls. She sends daily photos/updates and my dogs return home happy and well taken care of. I will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Soly was the most thorough and detail-oriented dog sitter I have ever used; and I have used many. I was very impressed! I really enjoyed all the photos and detailed updates from him each day. Moe seemed very happy and I am grateful for the care and attention Soly gave to my best buddy. Soly's townhouse is in a great place for dogs. There was a nice walking trail and a great dog private dog park that was completely fenced in. I am confident your dog will be in great hands with Soly.”

“Renee was fantastic for Tycho! She sent videos of him during his stay, was accommodating of our arrival time, and it was clear Tycho had a great time. Definitely would recommend her!”

“Felix was AMAZING with our Rose! She is a big puppy and it was her first time away from home, but he was great with her. He took her on walks daily, and sent updates regularly to keep my mind at ease. Would definitely recommend and use Felix again!”

“Thanks Raluca for caring for our Donner! She was such an amazing sitter. We were sad to have to leave Donner for few days but when we went to pick him up we saw he was happy and he loved Raluca so much! At Raluca's he could run and play a lot with more friends. I highly recommend her as a pet sitter specially if you have a big and energetic dog that needs love ? Thanks Raluca!!!”

“Dan is great! He watched our 3 year old golden retriever, Jerry, in his home for 3 nights, and we couldn’t have asked for a better environment for our pup. Jerry was able to play with another doggo, run around a fenced in backyard, and hang out with both Dan and his son. Dan was also an excellent communicator, and he took on our booking after a last second change in our travel plans. We will not hesitate to book with Dan again in the future. A+++”

“Pam is always great with our dog. She really helped out when we had a death in the family and we had to head out of town quickly. She welcomed Mila readily and took great care of her as always. She is a lifesaver.”

“Emily took great care of Mario while we were out of town. She was super comfortable with our very excited dog from the first time they met, and communicated with pictures and texts during his stay. Mario had a great time with them and his new friend, Skeeter! We absolutely won't hesitate to send Mario to Emily for future visits!”

“Jacob took excellent care of Kumi while I was away. She got plenty of exercise, friends to play with, and treats. I received regular updates accompanied with photos and video that put me at ease. She was boarded for 3 weeks and I would completely trust Jacob with her care again.”

“We left our pug with Sherri and her family and were so happy we did! Sherri took exceptional care of our pet and we could tell that she was in such good hands. I highly recommend Sherri. She was exceedingly conscientious and caring and Junebug came back to us happy and healthy!!”

“This was our first time using Rover, so we did a meet and greet. Our dog took to Sarah right away, which put us at ease. She gave us updates and pictures during the stay which reassured us that our dog was being well cared for. We would definitely use Sarah in the future!”

“Our Chewie had a great time with Susan. She is a good communicator and has a wonderful home for dogs. Chewie loved playing with her two canines. We will certainly use her again!”

“Katherine was absolutely wonderful! She was able to take my pup so last minute and was extremely communicative throughout my trip. Will be rebooking for every trip!!!”

“Paige was very reliable for watching my dog, and maintained good communication over the course of my dog's stay. I plan on using her services again the next time I need to board my dog.”
“Suzanne and her children were absolutely amazing with my husky! She sent pictures and updates throughout the day, took my dog for walks, and had a huge backyard for her to run around in! Her children were very gentle with my dog which I appreciated! I’ve already booked more stays with her! My dog loves her and can’t wait to go back! Thanks, Suzanne!”

“Molly was wonderful and took great care of my spunky toy aussie! My dog got along great with Molly’s dog, and my dog doesn’t always get along well with bigger dogs. Molly sent pictures and made me feel at ease while I was away. She also took my dog on plenty of walks, so my pup was tuckered out when she got home. Highly recommend Molly’s services!”

About: Hi there! We're Sandy & Brad (& 16yo daughter, Clara) from Snowy River Farm in Freeport, MI. Our family has provided trusted pet & farm sitting service in the Kent, Barry & Ionia County areas for 6+ years. We've always had animals around whether it be dogs, cats, chickens, or sheep! We are a homeschooling family and we also work from home. Someone is almost always here! We're available to board dogs anytime we're not on vacation ourselves! We promise to treat your pet like family here at Snowy River Farm! Your pet will have the lower walkout level of the home to themselves. Brad works from home on that same level and we are all around very often. Our own small dogs will stay on a separate floor and not co-mingle your pet (unless specifically agreed by both parties). We can crate your dog(s) if that's your preference. Otherwise, a comfy chair with a blankie is just fine! ;-) *We prefer to do meet & greets first for everyone's benefit. Each dog we care for gets patient, loving, one-on-one attention tailored just for them. We’ll keep you connected with daily photo updates and little stories from their stay. If you want a sitter who treats your dog like family—offering room to roam, a peaceful farm setting, and plenty of cuddles—we’d love to welcome them into our home.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
