“Bailey had a great time at Lindsay's house. Her daughter Kate was very involved as well! She got lots of love and play time with her new friends. We wanted to choose a dog sitter who was affectionate and a home body, as are we. This was our first time we left our " baby' at home and the daily videos helped us miss her a little bit less. We will definitely bring Bailey to Lindsay's house next time we leave town.”

“Evvia was absolutely fantastic. Howie had plenty of activities and stimulation and I have no doubt he was in the best hands. Communication was great and I loved all the pictures and videos she sent of my boy while I was away. Will definitely rebook with Evvia in the future!”

About: I have dog sat for all sizes of dogs and even ones with special needs (blind and deaf). I love and care for them all! I get off early in the afternoon most days so can spend time playing with or walking your dogs, whatever is preferred or expected to be done! We have a fenced in dog park that I can take any dog to, there are no breed restrictions and I have a second bedroom if the dogs prefers their own space (can have a queen bed to themselves).

“Soley was a wonderful dog sitter for an extended stay with our lab. He sent daily updates with photos which put our minds at ease during vacation. Our dog was calm and happy when we picked her up.”

“Leslie took good care of our dog and kept us informed that he was having a great time. So glad she accepted on such short notice! I would definitely hire again.”

“Suzanne was so kind to take care of my Puppers for the day over Memorial Day weekend. She sent many photos and kept me up to date at least 3 different times during the day. You cannot go wrong choosing Suzanne to care for your furry best friends!”

“Tracy cared for Ikers just like he was her dog. He received tons of playtime, hugs/lab cuddles and attention. Honestly think Ikers had more fun at Tracy’s Rover Resort than at home ☺️ Thanks again Tracy for taking such wonderfully kind and loving care of Ikers. It gave us such peace of mind!!”

“Romy had a blast while staying with Stephanie! They were professional and felt at ease leaving my pup there. I would 100% use their services again.”

“Kijah was so friendly and communicative. Louie received excellent care and made so many friends! I had a scheduling blip and needed to extend the time last minute and Kijah was really flexible.”

“I had to leave town last weekend and decided to see what boarding my dog Ding with somebody from Rover might be like. I hit the jackpot when I decided to reach out to Roman and Suzanne. Right from the get go they were extremely responsive and had the answers to all my questions. And so friendly! We did a quick meet and greet at their home and I instantly knew I’d be trusting my guy with them. Just really wonderful people and they clearly love the animals they take care of. And they sure took care of mine! I got lots of pictures and updates over the weekend, and Ding looked so happy in all of them. He really hit it off with their dog Sonic! The weekend flew by and after an easy pickup (they really made everything so easy!) Ding and I were back home. He totally crashed out after a fun weekend with his new friends. Cant recommend Roman and Suzanne and family enough! I’ll definitely be reaching out to for another upcoming weekend trip :) Thanks so much!”

“Great sitter. Lily was happy and cared for well. Lily raced happily around in her backyard, went for walks, played with her dog, and had some good couch cuddles. I would highly recommend Megan.”

“Susan was a wonderful dog sitter. Our dog Brody had a great time. We love that she has a fenced in yard. She provided updates and photos. We were at ease knowing Brody was in good care.”

Puggy LOVES staying with aunt Pam. She takes the most AMAZING care of him while he’s there. This is the second time she has watched Puggy and Aunt Pam will always be our first choice! She is the VERY best!!! & she has the sweetest & most adorable pup crew that Puggy loves playing with and lounging with. Pam lets Puggy sleep in her bed and she spends a ton of time letting him sit in her lap. His favorite! Puggy loves her!

Emma was great with our dog, Blue! She was very responsive and reached out promptly with questions. Blue had a great weekend and came home exhausted from all the play. We received lots of pictures and updates throughout the weekend. Highly recommend Emma!

My family had to unexpectedly make a stop at the DeVoss Children's Center, and urgently needed someone to look after our dog for the evening. It was late, but Abby went out of her way to accommodate our doggo. She made us confident we could focus our attention on a sick child. Fenced in yard in nice, city neighborhood. Loads of coach snugs and walks. Great communication. Would recommend Abby again and again. Her compassion and kindness, for dogs and humans, is something rare in today's world. 10/10.

Megan was so amazing. We dropped our cat Pepperoni off at her place and we knew she would be in good hands for our trip. We got pictures and videos and daily updates about pepperoni. It was such a nice feeling knowing that someone was taking good care of her. Thank you Megan for loving our pepperoni 😺

David took such good care of my new foster pup. He was just getting used to me and my home when a planned vacation called for a stay with David for a few nights. He was absolutely wonderful with Goose and his shy demeanor. The texts and pics throughout his stay helped me feel confident that he was in the right place during my absence. Thank you David! I would trust my foster pup or a pup of my own with you anytime!

Raven was absolutely amazing with maverick! Maverick can be super difficult at times and she made the experience amazing for all of us! She sent us pictures and he was always so happy with her. Raven was super flexible and came out of her way to pick him up and drop him off! She’s a great person with great vibes! We will be working with her any chance we get in the future.

Suzy took wonderful care of Misty! She was very reassuring and sent us updates while we were gone. She walked Misty every day and spent time with her in the yard. The personal attention was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be having her care for Misty again!

Lindsay did a great job taking care of our new puppy for a week! I appreciated her thoroughness in doing a meet & greet before accepting our reservation request to make sure her pup & ours would get along. She sent photos & videos updates & was a great communicator. Our dog is definitely a people person and we could tell he got a lot of attention & felt at home & loved in Lindsay's home. We'd definitely book again. Thank you Lindsay!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
