“Kristopher and Lisa were wonderful with our pup. They made us feel safe and comfortable leaving our dog at their beautiful property and communicated well! Will be recommending them to others in their area and would 100% use their services again.”

“THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I would give a 10000 star review if possible. I cannot stress enough how great of a sitter Stephanie is. We are forever grateful for her and the loving care that she provided our puppy ❤️”

“Averi took great care of my Remy boy! She is a kind and thoughtful sitter and very easy to communicate with. She sent pictures during Remy’s stay at her home and assured me he was happy and well taken care of. Prior to Remy’s overnight stay, we met up for a meet and greet. Averi listened to my explanations of Remy’s needs and had no issues understanding and managing his anxiety and reactivity. She made me feel at ease. We will definitely be reaching out again!”

“Megan is AMAZING! Pixel and Lincoln love their holidays at her place and are always so well looked after. We absolutely love all the photos and updates! We know that we are leaving the dogs in good hands.”

“Lindsay did a great job with my 4 month old puppy. I had never left him before, but Lindsay made it a great experience. We met prior to his stay which increased my confidence in her care. She was understanding of his puppy antics, and her dog was a great playmate! I received photos, videos, and updates which was great as I had some anxiety being away from him. I would highly recommend Lindsay and her family to anyone looking for a sitter for their dog!”

“Our dogs loved their stay at Leslie’s house. Her fenced yard and flexible schedule were a huge bonus to us when picking a pet sitter. We knew our dogs were in good hands which gave us great peace of mind!”
“Chad and his kids (and Lucy, his doodle) took great care of our Poppy! He was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Poppy seemed very comfortable there and we will send her there again!”

“Hannah took such wonderful care of our Lincoln! She was very responsive and sent updates each day. Lincoln seemed happy and relaxed - which speaks volumes. Would definitely recommend Hannah!”

About: I remember being a kid and finding a stray kitten at the store wandering around the front door begging for food.. I petted it and it followed me back to the car. My Grandma had no choice but to bring it home with us and that is just part of my story. I had that cat for 20 years. My two boys who are 10 and 13 love animals as much as I do. We just lost our Newfoundland and we still have our Collie, 2 cats, a bearded dragon, and our monstrous fish in the aquarium. I've learned that each animal has different needs and I know a lot about how to care for them. I prioritize peace and safety in our home and I want to give each animal a fun experience while you are away. Your pet will be part of the family when they are visiting with us. Our Collie, Creed, is excited to host new friends! Summertime, I stay at home and take care of the kids. I'm home most of the time except for any family trips we might take. During the school year, I work during the week on school days at my son's school, and pick kids up after school, but I'm otherwise home. Home on the weekends. I'm available on weekends and home. During the week, I work at my son's school part time and am home after 3 pm. I have a fenced in yard and one dog that loves to play with new friends. I also have two cats that are friendly with dogs. Depending on your pets personality, l will be quiet and calm and gentle with them, and/or play and take them for walks. I'll make sure they're safe and well cared for while you're gone.
“Kina was so great, replied fast, and was extremely caring and accommodating for my last minute booking. She took such good care of my grandmas dog and made sure to send plenty of photos and videos! Would highly recommend her to anyone”

“We left our pug with Sherri and her family and were so happy we did! Sherri took exceptional care of our pet and we could tell that she was in such good hands. I highly recommend Sherri. She was exceedingly conscientious and caring and Junebug came back to us happy and healthy!!”

“Let’s just start by saying my puppy is not for the faint of heart! She is a gsp, so by nature is very hyper and energetic and let’s be honest…. Kinda crazy! Megan did an amazing job caring for her while I was away on vacation! I received daily updates which I loved because this was our first time away from her! And she has a friendly dog that kept her occupied the whole time!! Not once did I worry about my puppy while I was gone which is nice because this pup is like my baby! Also Megan has a fenced in backyard for additional play area which is also nice. Will definitely be booking again in the future!!! 😊🐶🐾”

“Susan cared for my timid Golden while I had surgery. It's so good to have someone that I trust to love and care for my companion while I'm not available. One less stress!”

“Amber was great!! She spoiled our dog with multiple walks a day, lots of interaction with kids (our dog loves people and kids in particular) and she was great with communication! Will decently book with her again!”

“Jackson seemed to have a good time while he was with her for the weekend! She was kindly flexible on my pick up time seeing as I was coming back from up north and was running late due to traffic!”

About: I’ve fostered a few pets and have been involved with animals all throughout my life. I have a big dog myself (my best friend) and so I can handle larger dogs, but also little and medium ones too! I can walk your dog, bring them to the park and just hang out! I’m quite flexible, with everyday availability! My weekly work schedule varies, but I have dedicated time daily, both before and after my work shifts, to love and care for your pets. Just reach out with your ideal times and we will coordinate the perfect visit for your furry friend(s)!! I have a fenced yard, it’s not super big but if we need more space going on walks and to the park is always fun! I have a dog, a cat, and a tortoise at home so I have experience caring for all sorts of animals, and of all different sizes and personalities. I’m hoping to start volunteering at the animal shelter once they open up their volunteering! For me, spending time with animals has always been a huge passion for me and I’m excited to meet your fur baby!

Danielle and her family had Fuji for a month long visit and they treated her like their own! She came back very happy. I got pictures and updates and Fuji even came back having been taught a new trick! They were flexible with me having to extend my trip, asking to pick Fuji up an hour early, and even jumped my car for me when it died in their driveway! I would definitely hire Danielle in the future and recommend her to anyone who is seeking a kind, reliable dog sitter.

Fabulous experience! It was our first time being away from our puppy and it was an entire week, so we were anxious. He had a great time! Was happy to be there and happy to see us. We got pictures and updates, Lindsay was amazing. Highly recommend and will be using her again

I have a really hard time leaving my pup behind when I travel but I always feel comfortable when she is in Tatyana's care! Tatyana goes above and beyond and truly cares about the dogs that she watches. I have peace of mind knowing my dog is safe and loved when I'm away.

Puggy LOVES staying with aunt Pam. She takes the most AMAZING care of him while he’s there. This is the second time she has watched Puggy and Aunt Pam will always be our first choice! She is the VERY best!!! & she has the sweetest & most adorable pup crew that Puggy loves playing with and lounging with. Pam lets Puggy sleep in her bed and she spends a ton of time letting him sit in her lap. His favorite! Puggy loves her!

Emma was great with our dog, Blue! She was very responsive and reached out promptly with questions. Blue had a great weekend and came home exhausted from all the play. We received lots of pictures and updates throughout the weekend. Highly recommend Emma!

Megan was so amazing. We dropped our cat Pepperoni off at her place and we knew she would be in good hands for our trip. We got pictures and videos and daily updates about pepperoni. It was such a nice feeling knowing that someone was taking good care of her. Thank you Megan for loving our pepperoni 😺

Raven was absolutely amazing with maverick! Maverick can be super difficult at times and she made the experience amazing for all of us! She sent us pictures and he was always so happy with her. Raven was super flexible and came out of her way to pick him up and drop him off! She’s a great person with great vibes! We will be working with her any chance we get in the future.

Suzy took wonderful care of Misty! She was very reassuring and sent us updates while we were gone. She walked Misty every day and spent time with her in the yard. The personal attention was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be having her care for Misty again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
